Now under new ownership..Red's Broken Spoke. Great live music . Wait staff friendly and good appetizers. They have an outdoor area out back with a fireplace and plenty of seating. Friendly people to us outsiders.

My girlfriend and I decided to come here because the reviews were great and we hoped that it wouldn't be crowded. And boy am I glad that we did! Do note that parking can be a bit awkward, we decided to park across the street in the post office parking lot which I'm not entirely sure was legal but it was a Sunday so they weren't open anyways. Immediately upon walking in you can take in the entire restaurant. Maybe ten tables, a little counter, and then two doors leading to the restrooms/kitchen respectively. The hostess sat us down immediately and I felt like we were treated so nicely. The small town vibes of the place really shown through. Seems like the place had a bunch of regulars too and the hostess was making conversation. I was torn between the Dayton burger and the waffle with breakfast meat, but ultimately went with the burger. I was not disappointed at all! The burger was cooked perfectly, super juicy and tender. It got a little messy but that's what you want out of a good burger. I also got a side of onion rings. They were very crispy and delicious, and paired well with their aioli. The sandwiches also come with a pickle spear on the side which I love. My girlfriend got the cali burger which was advertised as coming with guacamole. She said it tasted more like mashed avocado than true guacamole; nevertheless she enjoyed her burger. I will definitely be coming back here! Do yourself a favor and enjoy some delicious food while also supporting this super friendly local business.

We ate in the bar - loved the vibe down there! The food was amazing! We started with salads - Caesar for the Hubby (as usual) and the Spring Salad for me (I subbed blue cheese for the goat cheese - I'm not a fan of goat cheese). Both salads were super fresh. They make their dressings in house and it shows. Ribeye rare for the Hubby and Filet mid-rare for me. We both had the crème fresh mashed potatoes. Steaks were cooked perfectly. And let me tell you, if you get anything, GET THE MASHED POTATOES!!! I swear these were the best I have ever had in my life. No joke - that includes my homemade and my Moms and Grandma's. Seriously. It's worthy to note that I asked for salt & pepper, as there was none on the table. It takes a really confident chef to not have salt & pepper on the table. So of course, I tasted first. I honestly did NOT use not one grain of either. The food didn't need it. Everything was seasoned perfectly! We ended the meal with crème brûlée, because if it's on the menu, we are ordering it. It was exceptional! Easily the second best we've ever had - and we've eaten a LOT of crème brûlée in our years. The service was absolutely spot on. There were 3 people working down there on this Wednesday night and they showed incredible teamwork. Super friendly, efficient and very customer service forward. Whenever we are in this area again, we will definitely eat here!!

The lamb chops were phenomenal, the tortellini soup and fresh house salad were delicious, and both the filet and tomahawk steak were cooked perfectly. Every dish was full of flavor, and the quality of the steaks really stood out. A special shoutout to our server, Kayla, for her attentive and friendly service. It was also great seeing our friend and owner, Duck, whose passion for the restaurant is evident in every detail. The photos speak for themselves, but the food was even better than it looks. Not a huge crowd, 10 people, we still called ahead and made the rez for 6 adults and 4 kids. We waited for over an hour for waiter to ask for drinks and ask for meal choices. No joke, we had to ask for the waiter to get our drink requests and food. After requests were made, another hour of indifference ensued . When it did, the plates showed up randomly, so some peoples food was plated while waiting on others (my dad ordered the pork chop, they brought a steak) I love my hometown and support it so much, but I cannot support Piedmont at all. It's heartbreaking but this was the worst experience I've ever had ever; and I travel the US for a living

Where do I even start with the Blue Stone Inn?…read more At first glance, well...you might glance away and keep on driving, because it seems like one of countless little restaurants you might pass as you're zooming down a highway, focused on work, family, vacation, or other concerns. In fact, there's a good chance even I had passed the restaurant on more than one occasion. But don't do that, it's a huge mistake! Because as I discovered recently, every meal you miss at Blue Stone Inn isn't just lost deliciousness, it's an opportunity gone forever to break bread with friends and family in the kind of space that makes you long for a world that no longer exists - familiar, welcoming, old school. The Blue Stone Inn isn't fancy. It's rustic. And please don't read that as a criticism, it isn't. It's definitely nice. I realized I was vibing hard, loving the atmosphere, the people, the vibe. Service was prompt and courteous with the familiar feel you only seem to get in smaller towns these days. And the food - OMG. Most of us started with a salad and the house bacon vinaigrette. And the breadbasket - so, so good, but don't fill up on it! Because all the food is To. Die. For. We then quickly moved on to various steaks. My ribeye was insanely delicious, cooked perfectly, with an excellent baked potato to round out the meal. My dining buddies upgraded to the steak-and-seafood combos, which were apparently also quite good. I skipped dessert - too much bread early on. But the delicate, beautiful, generous slices of cake my friends had ended the meal on a perfect note. Can't recommend Blue Stone Inn enough. Be aware that if you go, it seems there are some homeless cats in the parking lot and around the restaurant. Super friendly, I suggest bringing some treats for them. I had some cat food in the car so they got a little dinner as we were leaving. Enjoy!

It's got that classic local charm without trying too hard. Service was friendly, . Staff seemed genuinely kind. He told me he had worked there seventeen years! Food-wise, I ordered on the light side. The French Onion Soup was hot but lacked flavor. I also had a salad. It was well-portioned and fresh. I also ordered the shrimp cocktail and it was not edible. Shrimp were small and rubbery. The menu has a nice mix of comfort food and grill staples, and prices felt fair for the quality. Overall, Blue Stone Grill is a dependable choice in Harrisonburg. Not perfect, but worth a visit if you're looking for a laid-back meal with good vibes. Just don't order the shrimp cocktail.

Our waitress (Karolain) was pleasant and the 2 stars are strictly for her. Came in no one was at the front to greet or seat us. Took about 10 minutes before someone noticed and sat us down. They were out of several sides-broccoli, asparagus and rice at 8pm -guess it was a busy day. So we had to settle with sides we didn't want. No big deal. Our plates were watery. My French onion soup that I ordered in a cup form came as a bowl. Just because they felt like being 'generous' however, it was lukewarm. So much so, the cheese wasn't melted. It was probably sitting in the kitchen and was an error order and they decided to give it to me. Thanks for the 'generosity'. Had to send it back to actually get warmed up. The most off putting part was 2 separate women vacuuming by our table. It was rude and unprofessional but I don't blame the workers, I blame Management for being okay with that. It felt like everyone was in a rush to go home and was essentially telling us to hurry up and leave. Management, do better-there's a dozen restaurants nearby to choose from that probably take Customer Satisfaction a little more seriously.
