The guys were friendly and fun to chat with; felt like you're at home. This is by far the best soul food seafood restaurant I've ever been to, and besides one other place in Front Royal that offers very different fare it's the best place to get a meal. We had to drop off some items in the area and wanted to get dinner before heading back, so we looked over the menu and reviews. It seemed like it would be perfect for seafood lovers, and we were able to snag one of the last tables available. From the time we walked in, the service was amazing. The staff made great recommendations, checked on us frequently without being intrusive, and made sure we were enjoying our first experience there. Even the other customers were super friendly and told us they had been coming back for years for the great food and service. We both loved our meals. The breading on my fish was really crispy (a recommendation from the server), and the hush puppies were delicious. The portions were very generous, and I really enjoyed my leftovers the next day! The decor there is also super cute. They have several old soda machines outside and adorable crab-themed items inside and outside. With the cornbread they used to give you a big square of homemade cornbread but now you get a little muffin shaped piece about 2" in diameter and hard as a rock (see photo). Luckily there is a Family Dollar store across the street and I went there and bought some Imodium. Had to stick around and use Bonnie Blue's restroom twice before felt comfortable enough to make the 45 minute drive back to my home. Got home and felt so bad that I went straight to bed.
