My family and I were wanting some good Chinese food, and one of my coworkers recommended this place. Walking, place is open, comfortable and clean. There is a small area where one can place to go orders. We ordered honey chicken, general tsos chicken, chicken fried rice, wonton soup, and fried dumplings. We also noticed on the menu fried bread, which we also ordered. The wait was not very long, and the price was very reasonable. The person who attended us gave us also two small bag of fried wontons, fortune cookies and a container of jello. We took it home and we loved the food. The fried bread was heavenly. The rest of the food was delicious. That is all except for the fried rice, which we did not appreciate. Still, the vast majority of the food was great and we are resolved to come back for more. This is especially true as my mom is a soup person, and she will want more wonton soup in the future. I am very happy I took my friend recommendation. I took recommend if you're in the area to come to Hong Kong Chinese Buffet!

I ordered China Wok through GrubHub while staying overnight in St Mary's, OH. There are two…read morecomments I need to make - first about China Wok and second about the delivery. I ordered steamed dumplings and their Chef's special - Steak and Scallops. It was ordered through the GrubHub website and I was given a delivery time range, as they normally do. The food was okay, or at least what I could eat of it. When they packed the meal, they forgot to add any utensils. I tried to chase down the "Dasher" but even though I was next to her car waving frantically, she either didn't see me or chose not to. Dumplings can be finger food, but I'm afraid that any Chinese dish in a brown sauce isn't. The dumplings were well made and I did like the dipping sauce. As for the Steak and Scallops - I did try it using my fingers, which wasn't particularly enjoyable. The steak was tender and well flavored. There were ample vegetables in the dinner. The scallops were about pea-sized... I've never seen anything like that before. Typically, scallops are about an inch in diameter? They were kind of flavorless. Without utensils, I really couldn't eat rice nor eat the meal. So, I tried to contact GrubHub. They hid or got rid of their chat function so I emailed and did get a pretty rapid response saying they issues a $5 credit for the problem. We emailed back and forth a few times as I tried to explain I wanted either a refund or someone to deliver something I could use to eat the food with. Finally, the GrubHub rep told me to use their online form for faster service. I did and their autoresponder told me to expect a reply in 24 to 48 hours. I threw out the food. They simply could have contacted the restaurant, had them fix the problem, and take back the $5 credit. 24 hours, almost to the minute, I heard back from them. After a few emails, they won't stand by any sort of guarantee on this. How does a $5 credit solve the problem? As for China Wok, I would return again but would not use GrubHub. As for GrubHub, I don't suggest you use them for delivery from here.

Worst part of meal was the margarita. 4 of us at the table had margaritas (special for the night). No matter the flavor (we had 3 of them), they were not good: tooooo sweet and no tequila. It's decent-sized once you get in, plus they have an extra party room. We went there on my birthday, which was kind of a letdown. My friend ordered the corned beef and cabbage, which I also ordered. But the waitress talked me out of it and told me I should order the enchiladas so I could share. So I did, but I told her absolutely no onions because I am allergic to them. I started eating my enchilada and pulled out a huge onion and then like ten more. After pulling out all the onions I couldn't eat, there was barely any meat, so I was basically eating tortilla in sauce. I told our waitress and she apologized and told me that she told the cook no onions. I told her not to worry about it. My friend's corned beef and cabbage was good. The corned beef was a huge portion and cooked perfectly, but the cabbage was a little overcooked. Our waitress was very nice, but did not offer to take my meal off the bill, so I paid for something that could have harmed me. For $38, I was really hoping for a better experience and food, but I am willing to give it another try someday because they have such a huge menu. Next time, I think I will try their biscuits and gravy.
