I am absolutely disgusted. I ordered the lettuce chicken wraps and found a press on nail inside my food. This is not just gross -- it's dangerous. I went back to show the manager, and his solution was to offer me a gift card. Why would I ever want to eat there again after finding a someones fake nail in my meal? This shows a complete lack of awareness and accountability. Food safety should be the bare minimum, and clearly it's not a priority here. I will NOT be returning, and I hope they take this seriously before someone gets seriously hurt. Do better. read more

Update! What a nice visit! Came by for dinner with wifey and got lettuce wraps to share and our own dishes. Service goes from great at the counter to even greater still. The lady that brought our food out came back a little while later to check in and see if everything was okay, and of course we said yes. But (she was VERY observant) she mentioned a really wasn't eating my dish and she was concerned I might not be satisfied with it and asked if I'd like it remade/changed (she wondered if I found it too spicy, etc.). Wifey and I actually laughed at how utterly sweet she was being, and we had to assure her I was only focusing on the appetizer first. She (very kindly) was like "are you suuuuuure?" It of course cracked my wife 'n I up. Anyway, it was just the most enjoyable service/personality we've had in ages. It was obvious that she truly cared. Anyway, I asked her name on the way out sayin' I'd shout her out on Yelp, she said it's Joslynn and she even handed me some cards for more lettuce wraps in the future! Wifey & spoke later about it and wonder if she is so vigilant because of so many "Karens" out there that are impossible to please, stuff like that, and she was keeping out in front of it. Whatever, she was just adorable. Oh, and we also thought what might have made her believe I didn't like what I was eating is I like to eat all my items first that don't make good leftovers, so there'll be more if I do. AND, wifey 'n I had just experienced something frustrating earlier that day and we were still chatting about it, and I might have had an annoyed, animated appearence to people across the room, so she mighta thought it was about my dish. Stopped here on a rainy day to pick up a to go order. It was fairly easy to order on the app. I have to say the staff was friendly and the inside was nice and clean. The food was hot when I got it home a mile away. Just not that impressive. I haven't eaten at a Pei Wei in years and it's not the same as I remember. The quality was the same as Panda Express. The third is because of the super friendly staff. Just very mediocre quality. read more

Pei Wei has always been a top restaurant of mine but not having it for a while made it even better. Every employee is nice and kind and incredible service always making sure our stuff arrives shortly after ordering. Pei Wei is a nice zone with several drink options and they may not do this on purpose but it always smells wonderful in there making you even more hungry. The food is sweet but salty, fancy but simple, and just delicious. I like the way the restaurant looks. It's a very familiar ambiance to enjoy your meal in. This was entirely underwhelming. The salad was very wilted. The spicy tuna roll was soggy and sticky. Tasteless and spicy would be a good description. The potstickers has a really weird texture to the filling. Goopy? The white rice was fine. The chicken was hot but overall kinda bland. Update to review - it was okay. Better service, but only dealt with the female upfront taking orders. Disappointed that the sweet n sour chicken was removed from menu. It was better this time. Mongolian beef more tender and better portion. Bento box was fun but they forgot the dressing. Seems to be improving. The toddler really loved her orange chicken Childrens meal. Both enjoyed the coke machine and picking random flavors or coke and sprite. Peach sprites pretty good lol. Very disappointing! Your service looks like a bunch of amateurs. They have no system for takeout whatsoever and do you like to sit out on the counter for 10 minutes. This will make my 2nd visit here. My 1st visit the service wasn't the best but the food was great. I ordered two Vietnamese spring rolls and magnolia bowl with noodles. The food was hot, seasoned to perfection and delicious. So I pretty much could overlook the cashier and her unwillingness to help. My second visit... cashier was nice , sweet and energetic. Placed my order ... same as last but only 1 Vietnamese spring roll. Now if you're never ate here before; here's the process: 1.Order and pay for your food 2.Grab a place to sit 3.Wait for the waitress to bring your food 4.Eat Not one time did anyone say "we don't have mushrooms" for this dish. Not the nice cashier (who Probably didn't know) and not the waitress who brought me my food. I took my food back to the front cus man what's magnolia bowl without mushrooms?!? I mean it's still a magnolia bowl but I like mushrooms sooooo.... cashier says I'll have them recook it for you. Waitress brings it back and says "we ran out" put the plate on the table and just walked away. No... is there something else we can get you? Do you still want it? Not a "I'm sorry"! I kept it and guess what y'all... the food isn't even good! So I'm probably not gonna come back cus it's a hit or miss on the food and service. I'm still sitting here ... but chipotle is next door. We used to love Pei Wei and honestly after today we are not going back. The one in Fort Worth off of Heritage Trace was just horrible. We should have known something was up with the place when we walked in at 1pm on a Sunday and one other couple was there. In the past our food took a little bit to cook which as fine because we knew it was fresh. We literally got our food two minutes after we sat down. It was like it was pre made and they just put it in a pan to heat it up. They do not have Hot and sour soup anymore and the egg rolls were hot on the outside and cold in the middle. As I was walking by I saw one of the cooks dumping something out of a bag into a pot. Needless to say we will not be going back. The only shining star I could give was the person taking our order. I was very skeptical to try this location after reading the prior reviews but I was in the area and wanted my Pei Wei fix. We got our order to go and both my son and I had the Dan Dan noodles and my wife got the Mongolian beef with added spice. We waited while they made our food and the place was fairly quiet for a Saturday afternoon. They had our three orders ready in about 10 minutes. When I saw them place the order on the counter I was very happy to see that our Dan Dan noodles were piled high in the container and had a perfect mixture of noodles, bean sprouts, chicken and cucumbers. As we were driving home my wife kept commenting on how good the food smelled and we couldn't wait to get home and try it. Well, it did not disappoint us, the Dan Dan noodles were perfect and the portion size was very generous to say the least. My wife said her Mongolian beef was delicious. We saw that they had many new items on the menu and now we can't wait to go try them in the near future. read more

I have to say this is the second time we have been here and it will be the last. The one on 377 in Watauga is much better than this one. I would say drive the few extra minutes it's worth the drive. I've always ordered the honey seared chicken and it normally comes out great but this time it came out with this goop on top that looked jellied and it was barely warm. My daughter always gets the chicken chow mein. That's what she ordered this time and the noodles were dry and absolutely no seasoning at all on the chicken. Not that there normally is but there was nothing this time. The one good thing is I tried the cauliflower fried rice and I did like that. And for the first time we tried the mango roll and it was pretty good. Eat well read more
