Do yourself a favor and order takeout! Honestly, it's a genius concept here and I don't know how it's always empty! You can literally craft your bowl to your specific liking so no reason you don't like it! I'm specifically talking about the build-your-own bowl. The sauces are the best and the options are plentiful :) Additionally, they have several proposed menu items that sound delicious! So, if you love stir fry or Asian-type fusion, check them out. This location is MUCH better than the one closer to my house over by Alliance area. The food wasn't burnt and made fairly quick, cooked at the perfect temperature. The service was Great! My server was very attentive but not TOO much. I dined in alone and she made sure I was taken care of without bothering me too much. This restaurant is also well kept and clean. This place is understaffed! But he bartender/waitress/greeter that waited on us was excellent. I think it definitely is a training issue as additional staff that came in just seemed to stand around while one person did everything (management may need to address). I had a small bowl and hubs had a medium. We both had tea. Food was really good and our waitress was on top of everything. The bar that has the food you compile your bowl from was clean for as busy as it was. The cook was friendly and gave us a big smile when we placed our food on his bar. Currently eating my food from this place and it is good but I do have to say the customer service needs ALOT of work. I stood by the hostess stand for a good couple of minutes or so and waited for a waitress to ask if I needed to be sat. 2 walked past me multiple times and didn't say anything to me, actually looked at me like I was an alien. I couldn't find the to-go section so I went up to one of the waitresses to ask her kindly where the to-go orders would be (after placing my to-go order my pickup time was set for 12:20 and it was 12:17 when I got to the establishment). She essentially laughed at me and said "we haven't even made the bowls yet" in a very sassy tone like I should have known my order would be late? She told me I could wait in the bar section for my food. So I'm sitting waiting at the bar and both of these waitresses pass me multiple times again. Never asking if they could offer me a drink while I wait or anything. I understand my order might be considered big but I didn't realize it would mean being treated like an inconvenience to the wait staff. Waited an additional 30 mins for my order and when she brought it to me she essentially set it on a table behind me and walked away before I could even finish saying thank you. I won't say Genghis grill is my favorite and especially after this experience it is not but I just think that even if someone is getting to-go orders and they have to wait, the courteous thing to do as a waitress is ask if the person waiting would like a drink. I was even willing to pay for it but I felt like a bother and so unwelcome in this space. I had purchased $200+ worth of food and I'm not complaining about the wait time but both of your waitresses are very rude. You guys also messed up one of my orders, gave shrimp to a person with a shellfish allergy. Do better. read more

Then I had to wait another 15 minutes to get my food. Because they had to remake it. Our waitress just disappeared halfway through leaving us with empty drinks most of the time. We sat waiting for the bill for 20+ minutes. Our waitress literally just disappeared in that time. There was literally one other group of people besides us and they seemed to have the same problem as us with the service. On top of it all the place was pretty dirty. We used to love this place! The bowls were always cooked right and the Blue Dragons were lovely. Some friends and ate here yesterday. The bowls were way iver cooked... the egg was like they cracked the egg onto the grill and made a flat, rectangular scrambled egg patty. Everything was burned and dry. The best part of my bowl were the Udin noodles... nothing from the grill was good at all. One of my friends hates onions and so she didn't put ANY in her bowl, but when she got hers... onions. My other friend doesn't like shrimp, and sure enough. He ended up with shrimp in his bowl. What if they'd had a food allergy? There was just enough of the wrong, burned stuff in the bowls that I suspect they let the ingredients sit too long in one spot in the grill that they had to get really aggressive to UN-stick ingredients and were knocking them every where, including other people's pile. Not ok. They need a new kitchen manager or something. read more

We ate here a few weeks ago and the restaurant was FILTHY!! The girl serving up the food before it was cooked had boxes around her that were being unpacked and food all over the floor. The dining room was disgusting and needed to be swept. My husband wanted Thai hot sauce and our waitress refused to look for any after saying she didn't know if they had any. Every Genghis Grill is a little different and this one has a different way to get your protein - a server will scoop the meat for you instead of you getting your own protein. I actually ended up with more meat than I typically serve myself - this was a good thing! However, this process backs up the line to get your bowl ingredients. Aside from that, it is the typical Genghis Grill. Service was okay, I mean the server is just getting your drink and then checking in after you get your bowl - nothing complicated. We plan on eating here since it's closer to home than the one on Western Center. read more

While visiting family in Texas we went to Genghis Grill for dinner. The method of selecting your foods makes the experience individualized and unique. There's a variety of meats, vegetables and sauces to choose from that you pile into a metal bowl...take to an assistant who gives it to the cook who cooks each persons meal kept separate from others. It is then served in colorful, individual bowls to eat using chop sticks or forks. (Try the chop sticks which add to the experience) It was a fun, up-beat time with family...doing something different for dinner. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews, but honestly the Chinese buffet near my house doors a better job. Tables were dirty. Waitress was ok but really just brought us our drinks and left the table. I ordered a fish bowl cocktail fur my wife and I, my kids were also at the table, she bright back the drink with four straws, then I had to e explain to my kids why even though the waitress served to think they could drink alcohol....they can't, their six and eight. We were arrested by a girl who pointed in the general direction and said, pick a seat, all of them were dirty. Bathroom was dirty. And even though there was more staff than people eating, our service was poor. Not consistent with my experience at other GG locations. read more
