The lady who took our order was nice and made sure to note both our gluten allergies on the ticket so the kitchen was aware and could take precautions when preparing our food. I ordered delivery from Pei Wei's as I had not eaten there for a long time. Such a long time in fact, that I didn't realize the one on my side of town had closed years ago. I ordered Thai Coconut Curry Chicken and crab wontons. I really like the sauce they give you with your crab wontons. The curry was fine. Overall, the food was average. It took about an hour for me to get my food, but I can't really fault them because they're on the other side of the river from where I live. It's going to take a lengthy amount of time for anything to arrive from the other side of town. If you're looking for something easy and tasty I recommend Pei Wei's. read more

I tend not to leave negative reviews since I'm a cook myself. But Honestly I can't believe I tipped you guys. Lazy service, and the amount of sauce the cooks put in my food made it in edible and I had to throw it away. That's 20+ dollars down the drain for me. And as a cook my self I just got off a double at work wanted some food. But I would avoid this place if I were you. 3 times in a row the service has been like this and on top of that I don't get a dinner now which is the worst thing you can do as a cook. So cook to cook, maybe don't add 3 family size worth of sauce on one dish? Just some food for thought. And hey on top of it you as a company save money. You can see in the photo just how soggy and drenched the dish is in useless sauce. I haven't been to a Pew Pei in years and my girlfriend has been on some type of Chinese fast food kick recently. We came here twice within 7 days because we downloaded the app which gives you a free entree after your first order and my girlfriend wanted to try multiple dishes. The one thing I really don't like is that you don't get to mix and match like you would at Panda Express where you can have to entrees with your rice or noodles. This is why we came back a 2nd time. There was nothing wrong with any of the food from the 4 dishes we ordered from the two times we ordered takeout, but everything was bland. I'm sorry to say it really lacked any seasoning. The curry dish, you really don't get enough curry sauce, but you do taste the coconut milk/cream. The Pad Thai Chicken was ehhh, I really could've gotten something better from the frozen section or the prepackaged stuff at the grocery store. Again food wasn't cooked poorly or anything, it was just lacking in flavor. I've had Pei Wei in the past when I lived in AZ and these two visits don't even compare to what I remembered. It has been a long time since I have been to Pei Wei. The other location cooking area was so dirty that I stopped eating at any Pei Wei locations. It was next door to a store that I was shopping in, so I decided to give Pei Wei another chance. Gluten free, vegetarian and kid's menu options are absolutely available. There are more options on the restaurant's menu than on the website. Clean restaurant and cooking area. Good customer service. However, I ordered a very spicy Kung Pao Shrimp and it had way too many carrots in it, just a few shrimp. In addition, ordered a kid's meal and meal had to be remade because it contained wrong protein. Will I be back to any Pei Wei? Probably not. Pei Wei seems to have lost its appeal. I always ordered the Thai Dynamite Chicken, a standard rice heavy American Chinese dish that was tangy yet sweet without being too overpowering. We were confused about some of the employees: one had a Dunkin' Donuts T-shirt on but was cleaning the counters, and another woman, who brought us our meal, was friendly, but didn't have an identifying uniform on, and instead looked a bit "out of place." Ah Pei Wei one of my favorite Asian restaurants. For those who say Panda Express is the best I'm sorry. This place definitely takes that title on so many levels. First being the food is always prepared fresh. The chicken in the sesame chicken is just perfectly crunchy everytime. The egg rolls, the chicken dumplings oh m gee! It's heaven in my mouth! Did I mention they even have a sweet rewards program? Yeah seriously, check it out. After 1000 points you get a free meal. So if you frequent like me, you'll get hooked up. Not to mention the sweet deals and offers they give you just for being a member. This location just like the uptown does not disappoint. Was searching for something a little on the healthier side so thought I would check out, Pei Wei, it's been many moons ago since living in my AZ days. I'm definitely all about Local, however some local businesses aren't open until Wednesday, unfortunately. Walked in and was immediately greeted by Ali the cashier, so friendly & helpful with the menu and basically help me decide what were some good choices of what I was looking for. The Manager Manny was so sweet & kind, since I changed my mind with what I was going to get and had to help the cashier make changes to my order. Their food was so fresh, so flavorful and one of the best fast casual take out, that I've had in a long time. There's nothing better than when you have those busy days and you just don't want to cook for yourself and now I can finally have awesome offerings like their chicken lettuce wraps and the beef & broccoli and so many more dishes I'm dying to try. They are super busy these days and all the staff is busting butt so in case you order keep in mind we're living in strange times of the waiting game, but these guys really deserve a pat on the back in how they handling all circumstances of restaurant team hospitality. We recently had DoorDash but we have eaten inside. This time the food was very small portioned and under seasoned. We had orange chicken and it was small and tasteless. Sadly, this location has terrible customer service. It is cleaner than my last visit (a year ago), but the young woman on "duty" was very unfriendly and difficult. There was only one other diner in the restaurant so not busy at all. I ordered wonton soup (hot and sour soup is sadly no longer on the menu). I received a tiny, flimsy plastic spoon to eat my soup with. I went to the counter to ask for a little bag of the crunchy fried noodles to garnish my soup. That turned into a five minute ordeal about what exactly I was asking for, stating that they don't come with the soup, but I could order a side of them. I said I did not want to pay for a side of this "garnish" and was treated like an idiot for thinking there was a charge. Well, when I was told they DO NOT come with the soup and I could ORDER a side of them, I assumed there would be a charge. Silly me. Meanwhile, my soup is getting cold and I'm frustrated. An absolute ridiculous exchange. So unwelcoming and so unnecessary. Disappointing. I felt sorry for the other two employees that had to watch and hear their "leader" act this way. Placed an Uber eats delivery. In the order was Thai soup, green beans, new drunken noodles with added extra chicken, added vegetables, added shrimp. All adds are additional cost. The soup tasted like hot oil, that broth was added to then seven pieces of scallion added and three dumplings. This is the bowl serving size. Don't be fooled, there was zero basil and zero lemongrass flavor to the broth. The drunken noodles were just ok. Sorta bland. Not very spicy. The additional items I ordered AND PAID FOR were not included. Not worth the money paid tonight. This review is for the customer service. Upon walking in we asked a male worker about lunch specials he snapped at us and said " NO, we have no lunch specials!" We said oh "I think you guys use too". Just making small talk while waiting to order and he said "well I'm the manager and haven't been here long" in a really rude manner and just walked away. As we ordered the lady who I believe is named Gina was so rude and unfriendly toward everything we asked about the menu. We sat down waiting and felt really uncomfortable as the "manager" just stood there staring at us. I felt very uncomfortable. I don't know the managers name but this was Monday 11/29/21 at 230. I wish I had something nice to say, but I don't. When I saw that Pei Wei is by PF Chang, I figured that it would be excellent, but I couldn't have been more wrong. We've not been eating out due to COVID, and about a month ago, I'd noticed that Pei Wei was on the usual delivery apps. After trying to place a delivery order unsuccessfully for a month, it dawned on me that maybe they had their own app which would include a delivery option, and they did! Ordering was easy enough. We ordered the $31 dinner which included an appetizer, 2 entrees (firecracker tofu & teriyaki chicken), side and dessert. I also ordered an extra entree of drunken noodles with crispy tofu. Although the compartments of the dinner were full, there was a minuscule amount of tofu on top of rice. There was MAYBE a tbsp of sauce in the entree. The tofu had no sauce on it at all, and it was over cooked to the point where the tofu was hard. I know how crispy tofu is made, and I also know that it should be placed in sauce and heated up after it's fried. I don't even know what this firecracker entree should have tasted like because I couldn't even taste the minuscule amount of sauce that was present. My husband had the teriyaki chicken, and it looked better than the entree I'd had, but he said it was bland. The vegetable fried rice that came with the dinner was also bland. The vegetables in it were undercooked to the point that they might as well have been raw. The appetizer and dessert were both ok. I'm grateful for the extra dumpling dipping sauce. We ended up using it to add flavor to our entrees. The extra entree I had ordered was probably the best tasting thing in our order. But again, the crispy tofu was over cooked and had not been cooked with the noodles, so it had no flavor. I've really tried to cut restaurants a lot of slack during the pandemic, but I'm tired of bad food. On a positive note, my dogs enjoyed the food. $60+ (after delivery, taxes and fees) is a lot to pay for dog food. read more

Pei Wei operates on a cafeteria type model - you start in a line, select the food that you're interested in eating from their attractively displayed panels, pay for it, then take a small plaque with a number on it, to your table. There you wait until your food is ready and brought to you by Pei Wei's staff. The friendly staff will periodically come back, checking on how you're doing and see if there's anything you need. You get your own drinks from the back. Overall, its a pleasant experience. So long as you don't hit rush hour, you should be in-and-out in 30 minutes or so. The choices are good.
