I have been to Peggy's many times, and will give you an honest review of food, service and ambiance. I've tried almost every menu selection at least once. Their food is good and portions are large. Many of us say a prayer before we dine, and the servers are considerably of the same religious leaning, so they allow you time to pray. You will find the cooking to be truly "home cooking". The service is consistently good. During your meal, they all check in with you 2-3 times. Your beverage will be refreshed. They watch for signs that you want your check, to return to work. read more

Good food and affordable and I had a good chicken tender meal the service is great and I was able to get seated immediately

Not a bad place, we came as a big group which will probably affect my review, compared to if it was a small group but. The workers were friendly and did their best to be attentive. The pizza and drinks did take a while to show up tho. The pizza itself was good and I would enjoy some more of it. read more

Found this little spot today. It's a little off the beaten path but so worth the travel. They have specials Monday thru Friday. Today was jambalaya and it was really good. We had mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and the marinara dipping sauce was awesome. We didn't eat everything so we could try his apple fritter with ice cream and caramel... another winner. This is really a 4.4 or higher. We liked this place. We stopped in for lunch, and everything came out perfect from the fries to the pizza, to the meatball sub. Even the Ham & Cheese roll was toasted, everything looked fresh and tasted like it was from this morning. Stop in and taste it for yourself, I wish it was closer to my house. Had the grilled chicken topped with peppers and onions it was delicious. My hubby had the wings that were just ok. Mashed potatoes were very good definitely need to try. Service was good once we had a waitress come over. It took almost 20 minutes before anyone came over to take our order. Restaurant was clean and well maintained. read more

The food is fantastic, and the service is great! We usually eat here at least three times a week. Some of our favorites are fried mushrooms, steak & cheese sandwiches, burgers, sirloin steak, blackened salmon, grilled pork chops, and house salad with homemade ranch or blue cheese dressing. read more

It's okay, but it's not PJs anymore. I don't really like how they've changed things. If anyone wants some insight as to what happened, one of the owners died and it was too much for the other owner to keep it going. She sold it to Michael Powell. It will always be PJs to me, not "Peggys Country Kitchen" or whatever it is now. Had you asked me what it was like before it was sold and everything changed it would've been a five star review. It will never have the same charm it had, a restaurant owned by a husband and wife with their kids helping out as employee. The staff were always friendly, and no, they weren't always related to the owners but it still felt comfortable and homey. Now I don't even want to dine-in because I don't know the new people. But, Omnia mutantur nos et mutamur in illis. I will calm, hopefully accepting change eventually. read more

The venue is fine. The location is good. The wait staff are great. The pizza crust needs to be more crispy and yeasty, more flavorful, and more likely to become a calzone if necessary. The toppings on our PJ's Special pizza included everything except pineapple. I don't recall detecting Italian flavors, as in sauce or spices. Cheese was present, but not in copious quantities. My major disappointment was that the pie was cold. The crust was cooked through, the very top layer was warmish, but the the bulk of the toppings were cold, uncooked, and raw-crunchy. If I needed a pizza in this area again, I would likely buy something from the frozen section of Piggly Wiggly. read more

When I first moved here I thought it was a nice place to go. I no longer feel the same. My wife had a gift certificate for a Meat Lovers Pizza a $20 value. She called and asked if she can get a large pizza with less meat but a couple of veggies and was told yes. I went to pick up the pizza and was handed a small pizza instead. I told the young lady it was supposed to be a large and she told me that the large is over $20. Why was she told that she could get the large pizza with the certificate. I got tired of arguing with her and just grabbed the pizza and left. Will not be going back there. read more

Chicken Alfredo is to die for, which so is everything else they have here. Service is always great, and any problems or concerns you have the owners will make sure to take care of them.
