Horrible take-out experience!! Ordered take-out on June 2022. Chicken Francaise to be precise. When I got home, I didn't realize that the sauce had spilled all over my car seat because the staff had not sealed the container properly. I called the establishment to speak with the manager and there was none. So I explain to a young lady what had happened & her response was that these things happen when you order take out at any place. Yes, go figure!!?? When I told them that I was not happy because my dinner was ruined and that my car seat had stains. The girl in charge was quick to judge and told me that they couldn't detail my car. In the first place, I had not asked for that. All I wanted was that my situation be corrected since I had no meal. As I waited for a response, they told me the manager would call me back the next day. They didn't call. So, I had to call them back 2 days later. When I called the manager asked me what happened and then said that the next meal would be on them. She took my name, my phone number and my address. I came back 3 months later, placed my order and drove for about 30 miles; so they could tell me that they remembered me but they couldn't find there slip and couldn't give me my meal!! I was and still angry because they had me drive a long distance to tell me this!! I have eaten at this place for many years, never had a complaint and the manager was aware of this. I will NEVER come to this place again. Such poor customer service!! Manager & staff should take a course on customer service & satisfaction. And don't be surprised if your place goes out of business. This is a great place to eat breakfast. It's always packed and the food is decent. The waitstaff are always friendly. Dinner can be hit or miss. Sometimes we order something that is fantastic (fried oysters and prime rib on two separate occasions) and sometimes we order something that is very disappointing. Same thing with the sides, sometimes they are great and then sometimes they are just okay. I really think it depends on who is cooking. My wife and I decided to take the 2 grand kids out for an early dinner and picked Pegasus (despite a mix of some questionable reviews since we had been there a few years ago). We got there a bit before the dinner rush and the place was already crowded but were seated immediately. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive during our experience. Here's an example: My grand daughter asked what was on my salad (croutons) and asked to try one. She loved them and quickly polished off mine and some of my wife's... waitress stopped by and asked how things were.. I told her my grand daughter loved them and asked could she bring out a small dish with a few she could snack on. She brought out 2 dishes, each loaded. My 7 year old grand daughter got a the chicken parm. meal from the kids menu and the 3 year old grandson got the chicken fingers, Portions were more than ample for all the entrees ordered (the "kids" mean parm was adult size!). I got the stuffed flounder and my wife got Chicken Marsala and we all took doggy bags home. We got the specials so dessert came with the meals. The only reason for no 5 star rating (I'd give 4 1/2 for sure) was that they did not have orange or red jello.. only green and my grand kids both wanted orange or red. The were very disappointed, but overall, we were all happy that we dined there. Will definitely go back again. read more

The ambiance is that of a dinner, but the food says otherwise. I ordered the Oscar steak well done. It was topped with crab meat, asparagus and holinaze sauce. It was so good. The steak was cooked just right and the combination of the toppings gave it an amazing taste. The stuffed oysters were also good. Both are definitely worth trying. Sometimes everything is delicious, sometimes I am throwing it away whole. The prices go up while the food quality and unfriendly staff continue to lack. After several encounters with the same unfriendly and pushy employee we have decided to permanently take out business elsewhere. Have wanted to try this spot for many moons...finally i decided to order take-out yesterday afternoon..ordered 2 gyro platters..for my wife n i...Resteraunt was very clean..service was great...get home and open up our platters...the presentation was on point...the gyro's looked perfect (accept no feta cheese)..unfortunately the gyro meat had no taste at all...very bland gyro meat...the fries n cole slaw were good..reason for 2 stars is the service n presentation which is important to me was on point...if the gyro was better i would of given 4 stars at least...i will give Pegasus another try in the future though..stay tuned read more

I Ordered ham and cabbage. Nice portions but not eatable because of the overbearing taste of vinegar which is an unusual addition to ham cabbage. The dish consisted of one potato, quarter head of cabbage, a couple carrot slices and about six slices of domestic ham lunchmeat. It was not good at all and not eatable. When I first moved to this area I used to dine at Pegasus II, which was in Vineland. I always liked that restaurant, but sadly, it went out of business several years ago. Later when I met my wife, she introduced me to the original Pegasus. It was every bit as good as II. Greek-owned, there are plenty of Greek specialties on the menu. The list of daily specials is two pages. There is a lot of seafood. A few years ago I discovered their stromboli. It is hard for me to pass them up when I dine there. There are three dining areas: the diner part, the dining room, and the greenhouse. The greenhouse is typically used for larger parties and families. Service is usually nothing spectacular. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is clean. One will experience a wait at peek times (Friday and Saturday evenings). read more

I have been a customer of Pegasus for over 25 years and I will no longer be a customer because of the mistreatment by the owner himself that I received recently. Friday 9/16/22 my husband and I placed an order for pick up, NY Strip, baked potato, broccoli and for myself the stuffed seafood combo with rice, sauteed spinach with an extra side of spinach; 1 slice of cheesecake. (1st phone call upon opening the packages my husband picked up AND tipped $5 for, I received mashed potatoes with dark gravy instead of my extra side of spinach.) The "manager" took my name and number, marked me down for a side of spinach for future use for me. 15 minutes later, not only does my husband make a discovery that we received sweet potatoes that we did not order, but as I was eating some of my stuffed combo, there was grit in my clams casino, crab shells in the stuffing mix that was getting stuck in my teeth and I was able to tap on top of the crab stuffing that was blackin. Plus other clams looked like they charred them. (My husband later added after eating his steak because he was hungry, however the steak had no flavor, a very small baked potato, meal over all was not good.) After a few moments of reflection and knowing how many years I've been a loyal customer I decided to call back, the manager wanted the owner to hear my complaints and understand where I'm coming from directly. The owner was okay, he tried to explain the cooking styles but ultimately apologized and stated that he would issue a refund to the card that was used for the dinners; asked me to bring in the platter so he could review with his chefs. I returned the platter along with the extra sides we didn't request Saturday morning. I had to go to Pegasus on Tuesday morning because I did not receive a phone call, a refund or anything from when I returned the platter Saturday morning with my name and phone number w/an added note about the grit in the clams casino. The owner calls me 3pm'sh on Tuesday to try and explain how he has his chefs cook and the platter looked fine to him, but turned around and stated that the customer is always right; he continued to say that grit is "usually" found with clams, ignored my complaint about the crab shells going into my teeth but ultimately stated that he was going to have a "Credit" for me when I next called in. He didn't like it when I stated, "I want my money back, period." Especially after his attitude, explanations and yelling at me telling me that "There is nothing that will satisfy you that Pegasus could do and to either use my credit or come pick my money up." Needless to say, I'll NEVER be ordering food from there again and neither will some of my family members because they too have had bad experiences with customer service. read more

So this is a popular diner in this area, on Sunday they have a chicken and dumplings dinner that will not disappoint! On this visit it was very busy, but we were seated immediately. Here they have a server who just brings drinks, after waiting 5 minutes our server came over and said she would be right with us. After 15 minutes, I had to ask someone to find her. She said the kitchen was busy, understandable, but keep us informed don't disappear. The crab bisque soup is too salty, avoid! Our server, Alicia, was terrible. The food was good, they give a bread basket which is also very good. Had our service been acceptable, this is easily a 4-5 Star diner. When I was paying, which is done on the way out, I was asked how everything was and I explained but all I got was an apology, not even the salty soup removed from my check. I'll be back for the dumplings and hoping for better service. read more

Went there a couple days ago.This place has a mega page menu with tons of stuff in it which is typical of these diners.I got the "Amish style" pot roast which should be renamed deli style which is all it is.It was nothing more than sliced deli roast beef on top of nasty stuffing covered in bland canned gravy with bland instant mashed potatoes in the shape of an icecream scooper.Anytime you go to these diners with 100's of choices on them your best bet is just a plain old cheeseburger. read more

We were told "about 15 to 20 minutes wait time", but were seated at a nice table within 5 minutes. Our server Alex had a friendly smile & attitude. She served our drinks and appetizers very quickly. We started with their OUTSTANDING CLAM CHOWDER. This is about the best New England Clam Chowder There Is, at least in New Jersey. Greek Salad was fresh from the garden, (Someone's Garden!) with wonderful anchovy & artichoke hearts. Cornbread & sweet rolls are baked fresh on the premises and they are first rate. "There Are Always Too Many Good Specials To Choose From", Mom Said! Mom got Giant, Plump fried oysters. Delicious with very light breading. Mom also had a nice helping of mixed veggies and cole slaw. I had swordfish with rice & pesto, and broccoli on the side; ALL GOOD. Home made cherry pie & tapioca pudding were to die for, as are ALL THEIR HOME MADE DESSERTS! Way too much food!! I always order the Greek salad to go... large so I can eat it for a day or two... well, I ordered yesterday (about 5 PM) and today the lettuce turned and is gross! Almost all my salad has been wasted. In addition, they must have new cook, as their Greek dressing is NOT as flavorful as in past 20 years! Same thing with their Tzaitki (SP) sauce... not enough garlic and the Feta is NOT imported... I guess I will have to drive down to the Greek Restaurant in Vineland!
