Used to be my favorite place for breakfast but they're just so overpriced for what you get if it was consistent I wouldn't mind the dinners are half-decent never said great and never said bad... My husband and I love stopping here for breakfast on the weekend before we head out for a full day of errands. Always delicious! However, we have stopped here at night after a long day of errands, for coffee and a slice of cake or pie. Please, do not do this. They have, without a shadow of a doubt, the WORST baker in the world. Both the cakes and the pies are so dang dry and flavorless. I have been here many times throughout the years, before and after the renovations. The prices were always on the high side. The Pegasus always had older clients, which is the main reason I stopped going, were made it depressing like a retirement home. The staff pretty much leaves you alone, if you need anything during your meal your s.o.l.. You can put a turd in a fancy box, but it's still a turd. That's exactly what Pegasus is. This is a local favorite restaurant. It's a step above diner food, but with more variety than a regular restaurant, and better quality than your average diner. Staff is friendly, and portions are huge, with multiple courses served with your entree. My favorite dish is the chicken picante, but depending on the timing, each chef does it slightly different, and I always check to be sure they remember the capers. It is what is it - one step up from a diner. We were there on Mother's day so I can't judge the service on one of their busiest days of the year. As busy as they were it was pretty good and I'm sure much better during normal times. The food is just OK. My Eggs Benedict were good and properly prepared but I'm guessing the sauce was a pre-mix. I can't believe this restaurant only has 28 reviews. It is always packed. My parents eat there, at least, two times a week. As a previous Yelper stated, it is a bit like lunch at a nursing home, maybe that what accounts for the lack of reviews. Most sandwiches come with a cup of soup and fries. I had the Louie Burger, a cheese burger with crab meat. My husband had one of the specials. It was a grilled sandwich with cheese, ham and turkey. Both were very good. Ask for some taziaki to dip your fries or upgrade to Louie fries; steak fries with feta, greek spices and taziaki. The staff was very nice. The price is right and the portions are huge. I have NEVER had a bad meal at Pegasus! I've come here for years, and have especially enjoyed my dinners here recently. This isn't some dingy diner. It's a fantastic restaurant with a lot of heart put into it. I love to start off with the fried calamari. Pegasus is one of my favorite places for it. You really cannot go wrong when selecting an entree from their menu. I personally love to go for one of their meals that comes with soup and a salad because it makes it that much more filling. I love their pasta, especially the lasagna. But seriously, everything is good. Then, if you somehow have room for dessert, finish with some of their giant chocolate-covered strawberries. Yes, they do taste as good as they look in the cooler! The service is also exceptional. The people who work here are kind and helpful, always checking on you and making sure everything is going well. Have lived in Vineland for 13 years but tonight was our first time here. Food was great and the portions were huge. Service was really good too. Attentive and friendly. The room we were in must be the last one to be redecorated. Decor was a little dated. Other rooms looked brighter and more modern - more in line with the updated exterior. We went for lunch and had soup, a gourmet seafood salad, and a California burger. The soup, which was luke warm, tasted like Campbell's right out of the can. The seafood salad had three shrimp that were steamed not grilled as stated on the menu, some artificial crab meat and a lot of bitter lettuce. The burger was obviously a frozen patty that was buried in a roll that was way too big for it, and on the whole, very bland. The prices were a little on the high side for what it was. I used to dine here often during my 20's with no complaints for the breakfast and lunch service. After having moved away for 10 years, I decided to try out my old haunt. The service itself was still quite good, attentive and friendly as I remembered. However the food quality suffered greatly on this visit. Knowing this place is Greek owned, I thought i couldn't go wrong with a chicken souvlaki which i've ordered long ago along with a recommendation of the Italian wedding soup. My soup at first was promising, steaming hot. However the meatballs tasted funky and rancid. The broth was over powering salty, more like a Campbell's condensed soup can where someone forgot to add the can of water. The chicken souvlaki was straight unseasoned chicken, very little or no seasoning whatsever. It was as if the chef just chunked up some chicken and quickly did a stir-fry and laid it into the pita. Since I have complained about my horrible experience here and on Pegasus' facebook page they have blocked me from commenting further and connecting with others who have also had a horrible experience with them, especially their management. Funny thing is, many of the other reviews, both positive and negative, have gotten a reply from the owner....me? nothing. They can't even defend themselves because they know there is no excuse for spoiled food and then bad customer service on top of it. Penny wise and pound foolish Pegasus. I've only ever been here for lunch. They have specials everyday which includes a cup of soup. Their soup has always been delicious. Their dessert selection is pretty cheap. The burgers are not very good, tasting like frozen patties and are served on kaiser rolls. The white pizza is pretty amazing! They have a "drive thru" which has a weird shelf on the outside. When I've ordered take out they put cold items such as pickles and coleslaw in the same box as the hot items which results in them being warm, gross. Inside waiter service is hit or miss. Very disappointed. Have gone to and ordered from occasionally over the years. Food quality has been OK. Take out is made easy with a drive thru window. However the prices have gone way up while the quanity has gone way down. Ordered 2 gniocchi take out dinners, includes soup & roll for over $25.00. The gniocci did not even cover or make one layer on the bottom of the metal take out dish. Half the amount of soup they used to have. Soup is in the smallest container possiblel. The little bit of soup was mainly broth that appears to be thickened. This is a meatless and should be relatively inexpensive meal. Between this and recently being charged too much to substitue a baked potato for fries - never again. read more

Outstanding Greek diner! The place was spotless. Excellent service. HUGE menu, even for lunch. My husband and I started out with appetizers, I had clams casino and he had the spanakopita. His order was big enough for the meal itself! Crisp fillo, ample filling, served with additional feta cheese on the side, fresh tomatoes and olives. Outstanding! THIS is the dish that Greek diners are judged by! My clams were delicious. Our lunch order was an eggplant grinder, which we split. It was huge! Served with a pickle, coleslaw and incredible waffle fries. It was delicious. Deciding that this was going to be our one meal for the day, we ordered dessert. I had strawberry cake and he had baklava. Both were outstanding! This is NOT a place to dine if you are on a diet! But splurge anyway, you won't regret it! The waitress was very pleasant, also. We have been going to Pegasus since they first opened 20 years ago. We have always been satisfied with our meals. If there has ever been a situation that we weren't they have always made sure that it was corrected. If you go there and leave hungry it is your own fault, as they always give plenty of food with their meals. Prices are comparable to any decent restaurant as far as I am concerned. Best food and service I have had in a long time. I travel all over the US on business and was lucky to find this place
