Peet's!!! Woot!!! From what i was lead to understand, there were no Peet's in the Seattle area. I had been told that back in the days of yore there was Starbucks, and there was Peet's, and there was fierce competition, and so Moses parted the red sea, and the Peet's wandered off into the desert for 40 years ... or something like that. And then i saw Peet's on a google map of Redmond! I could hardly believe mine eyes. Peet's has always been my mother's favorite coffee, as she is from the Bay-Area. And i have always been very fond of it, picking up a bag whenever i'm in California. Having discovered it, it saddens me to say i probably won't be by a lot, as i pretty much only drink the free coffee i get at work, as am to lazy to make it for myself in the morning. However, it is great to know that it is there if I want it. The beans are so far superior to Starbucks. Sigh, now all i have to do is convince my company to make Peet's their supplier. read more

Pete's is always good, but I found this location n a little on the slow side. Might just have been the mobile orders coming in? Tons of outdoor seating, but not a lot indoor for larger groups. read more

I'm sorry if I'm coming into an establishment and the first thing they say is no pets allowed as I'm clearly walking a service dog in who is very calm by the way, I'm not interested . I love this Peets. My honey used to work across from it, so was introduced a few years ago. Then....my daughter moved to Redmond, so I stop by on my way to visit her there. The coolest thing is that they save Pumpkin Spice Latte beans and have it year round! This is so very cool, and they make me an iced latte that sings with sweetness and light! Best coffee and unique/seasonal coffee/tea drinks in town. For something different try the golden latte (with turmeric) or a lavender latte. It's hands-down my favorite for coffee beans. Fantastic coffee and service. Peets in Redmond is the only place that consistently and correctly honors my request for "light ice" in my iced lattes, whereas other places do not honor my request for light ice or other places define light ice as filling the cup with 50% or more ice. The baristas at Peets are always pleasant and hardworking. I've tried hot drinks, cold drinks, bakery items and breakfast. The nondairy iced lattes and the frappes are my faves. Went in at 7:10pm tonight for coffee hence stopping at "Peet's Coffee". When placing the order for a small coffee the barista stated she can't make me coffee because they are going to close in 15 min. She also seemed unapologetic about it.There was about 2 selections for bakery items.At this point there was no need or want for anything there. looking at Yelp they were going to close in 45 minutes. read more

The best place to get caffeine in Redmond, way better than Fivebucks, I mean Starbucks. The staff here is very welcoming and the location is an automatic for me to get to before I go to work or a quick jog during my break to get some caffeine. Their Americanos are wonderful, Cafe Fredo (equivalent of a frappuccino) is sweet treat, and I believe they have the best mocha around. Best way to warm the tummy with some warm mocha or cup of joe when it is soooo cold now! :) Love the smell of the freshly roasted beans when I enter the place and warm greetings in the morning certainly helps me to come back! read more

They just opened this store next to Whole Wallet. I think this is a replacement for the one that used to be in the Larry's a few blocks over. Since Victor's wasn't open very early this morning and I normally like Peet's a lot, I decided I'd try it. The store is immaculate... sterile even. They have gorgeous brown granite counters and tables. The floors are covered in large taupe-colored tiles. The rest of the store is dark wood and glass. The thing that sucks the most is there are no comfortable chairs. They have only about 6-8 small tables with hard wooden chairs. The coffee is served up by a few teens that very obviously don't care about coffee or customer service. I got a cup of Sumatra drip this. It was vile and not very hot. I ended up pouring most of it out. Also, the espresso this morning was not the best. The good espresso at Peet's is Espresso Forte, but they used Garuda. I don't know if they were out of the good stuff or what... Yeah, I think I'll go to Starbuck's next time. So long Peet's. We had a good run. read more

Massively superior coffee quality to Starbucks. I also love the fact that they sell K-cups of almost all my favorite blends there and give me a free coffee to go with it! Only downside is their customer service. Just today I walked in and waited while the manager(?) chatted with her friend until she noticed me and asked "Do you need something?" to which I responded I would really like to get some coffee. She quickly summoned up another barista to take my order so she could continue her conversation in peace. I don't understand how you can treat paying customers like that while offering your buddy free drinks in the same breath. I'd really like to get a better review, but I'm really disappointed by how I was treated. read more

I don't go to Peet's that often. I think the reason for that is the inconsistency in the flavor of the coffee from location to location. I have been to Peets about 5 times, and I think that is enough to give it a fair review. Sometimes the coffee is really good, sometimes its horrible. If I want a cup of drip, I will come to Peet's, not for anything else though. My boyfriend was getting his free hair cut at Great Clips, so I went over to get us a couple iced drinks. Like I said, I don't go to Peet's that often, so I don't know how to order correctly apparently, and the hipster taking my order felt like it was good Customer Service to condescend me in the process. Sorry I ordered a tall when you want to be different and call it a small, but that doesn't mean you have to be a dick to me about it. The Barista on the other hand though was very nice, and my coffee was ok. Overall though, if I am in the mood for an iced mocha, I will just go to SBUX. I understand everyone's hatred for it, but the reason I like it is because I know exactly what I am going to get every single time I walk into a SBUX, anywhere in the world. Overall: Finally a coffee shop that tantalizes my taste buds! I can't believe that I missed this place for nearly two whole years! We're always in this area and have skipped this place so many times... why? Because I thought it was the usual "coffee shop" that has put me off coffee since I arrived in the US. The typical over-roasted-burnt-bitter-tasting coffee - that's totally unpalatable if you want to enjoy a simple, strong espresso. Alas, we decided to give it a go and we were pleasantly surprised. The coffee wasn't the slightest bitter; in fact there was a "sweet" aroma to it - just like good coffee should be. I was totally shocked! When I got home I did a bit of research on Peet's, only to find out the founder was a Dutch man - that explains a few things! If you're sick and tired of the usual burnt, over roasted, sour tasting coffee - try Peet's! They are polite and friendly, the seating is pleasant and it's never overcrowded. read more

It snowed the day I first came to Peet's. I was meeting a guy for the first time and he picked the location. When I'm meeting internet dudes for the first time, I like going to coffee shops. They are okay with you buying a cup of coffee and then sitting for a few minutes until your girlfriend calls you to make sure you haven't met up with a serial killer so that you can make an gracious escape from a bad date. My date wasn't bad. In fact, it lasted for nearly three hours. This location is actually very nice, considering the view is of the parking lot. I can't really imagine sitting outside in the summer amongst all the exhaust fumes, though. But when you lift your eyes upwards, you see the tall evergreens across Redmond Way and it's almost as though you're someplace completely different. And with the snow falling that day, it was someplace magic. I'll always have very nice memories of sitting by the windows, warm and cozy with my great cup of coffee, talking with a handsome gentleman while the snow swirled around outside. read more

I love Peets's Coffee! I would not necessarily come to this coffee shop to "hang out". I agree with previous reviewers that the environment is a bit sterile. But then again, so is SBux. The staff is effiicent and friendly in the mornings. My vanilla latte is always delicious and always tastes exactly the same. I love the consistency of the quality of the espresso here. Also, they will provide you with samples of all their beans and tea if you request. Service is pretty quick in the mornings but very slow on weekends. I have tried to stop by after Marymoor dog park runs but the service was painfully slow even with only 1 or 2 people ahead of me. read more

I really like this Peet's. It nice and cozy inside, the staff is really friendly and the coffee is tasty. I just used the $1.00 off yelp check-in offer good for any of their seasonal drinks. I'm trying the hazelnut cinnamon latte upon the barista's suggestion. So creamy and addicting. I decided to go balls out with the sweetness and calories, and got a blackberry lemon glazed scone too. Perfect pairing. I've had their drip too, in the past. Smooth. Parking is not an issue. Outdoor seating available. Clean restroom. Not full of hipsters, at least the times that I've been here, granted it's like 6am right now. Music (Christmas music) not too loud. Well lit. A cute place to chill. Consistently the best mocha around. When you order a med mocha, single shot, decaf, soy, no foam or whip, 130º you might expect a sigh. Not at Peet's. The freshly roasted coffee beans ship to the Redmond store within a week of roasting. That is fresh! Mocha Java Decaf (Swiss water process) is my regular order. Delivery of their freshly roasted beans is Thurs. I usually call and reserve my decaf beans, assuring I will leave Peet's with my mocha and beans. I was thrilled when Peet's came to Redmond. It's a little dash of the Bay Area in my adopted hometown. And the coffee is GOOD. It's strong. Really strong. The baristas are very nice and I just like hanging out here. I'm a regular. I will go out of my way to stop there after a morning at the gym. I hate to give a "this place is a dump" rating to a place that isn't really all that horrible....but I HAVE TO! Yep, I'm telling you that my hands have been tied by Peet himself here. I get a pretty simple drink. Coffee, black, tall, with an add-shot. Simple enough? The only problem here is that two days in a row, my coffee tasted like something that comes from a coffee pot that's sat for entirely too long. Without question I can say that my first and last two visits to this coffee house, I had worse coffee that what I'd expect from a 7-11! Allow me to not dwell solely on the fact that the coffee shop's coffee stank. Now if you're in business for yourself, such as myself, you may find yourself on the road a lot, looking for coffee often or simply looking for the "perfect" place to work, while on the road. There are a few things that REAL road warriors look for: great food, the perfect cup of coffee (or just coffee that doesn't taste like sludge), and a reliable place to set up the mobile office. This being the case, if you were me, or just someone like me, how would small tables, minimal power outlets for laptop plugin, and annoying WiFi that you have to wait in line to get a code to use for one hour, make you feel? I'm guessing, not very good. Over all, the modern day coffee shop really does need to meet a few, very minimal expectations. Great coffee, hopefully some sort of "knock your socks off" food, good work space, and nice people. Peet's in Redmond has only one of these. read more

Small, tiny really. And cold. I am a person who tolerates cold well, and even I find this place cold. Heck, people are sitting around wearing coats. Geez, Peet's, how about a little heat? A coffee shop should be warm and cozy. Not so cold that people have to wear coats inside. And, the free WiFi only lasts for one hour. The cocoa I had was okay, but it was also nothing special. I won't be back. Oh, I was doing 2 stars until I just got to the bottom of my drink and found all the syrup there instead of stirred in. Yuck! read more

Peet's Coffee is hands down my favorite large coffee chain. The drinks have so much flavor and are of a high quality nature. Staff is friendly, menu variety is great and seasonal offerings are over the top. The only down side to Redmond is the location is small and the location really has no unique personality... all in all though it is Peet's Coffee and that is what counts. Surprisingly, there aren't a lot of coffee options (aside from the ever present green mermaid) in Redmond. However, Redmond is home to one of the few Peet's Coffee in this sea of green (trees, not mermaids - or maybe both). I've had a couple meetings here, the wifi is good and its not too loud. I especially like that if you buy a pound of beans, they'll give you a free drink - or a card for one later if you don't take the drink when you get the beans. They have a nice selection of pastries, food and snacks, even towards the end of the day. They have a large selection of at home brewing goodies as well as lots of teas. I wish their chai tea (not the latte) had more spices in it, but that's just my preference. read more

6pm on a Saturday evening doesn't give you very many options for coffee. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Peet's is open until 8PM on Saturdays. A check-in on Yelp gave me a $1 discount on any coconut beverage so I decided to go for a coconut latte. The baristas are fantastic and super friendly! One of them accidentally took my order as 12oz instead of 16 and when I pointed it out (after they had made it), they very graciously decided to make me another one. I got an Americano last weekend, and it was really smooth, very good. BUT the mood in this shop is really un-relaxing. The seating area is completely inconducive to conversation or lingering. It feels intentional, actually. The lighting is hospital-esque. The staff is probably from Redmond High School. The clientele was sadly vapid--even by Eastside standards--and the tables are close enough that I was forced to hear the insipid conversations. Depressing. There was one creepy tea drinker in the corner, sitting alone, looking heavily medicated and absorbing the lame conversations. Creepy. I know nothing about coffee, except I like the smooth finish and I use a ton of cream and Splenda. I know. It's an abomination. I've been drinking Peets coffee since 1992. There's few places on EARTH that serve better coffee. Alfred Peet died wealthy. There's a reason for that. Then the head roaster, Jim Reynolds, retired. Peet's reached out to me based on my past experience and I was able to get a new drink made which was much better. I used a different location (downtown Bellevue inside Capital One) and once again the service was excellent. The staff is always very friendly, they always ask about my day and seem to genuinely care. They do a good job building repertoire with their customers. I buy Peet's beans about every other week and love their perk of a free cup of coffee with a half pound or pound of beans. Their lattes are delicious, and although my boyfriend is usually the one that orders them - the caramel freddos are fantastic (so much better than Starbucks!) Great location, easy to find parking (except at lunch time), great service, great coffee, free (clean) restrooms and free WiFi - all I'm looking for in a coffee shop :) read more
