I come in almost every day for coffee, and I'm always greeted with a smile or at least a warm acknowledgment that I'm there. I completely understand that they get busy and can't always be as social, but the staff is consistently welcoming. I'm always switching up my order and trying different things, and sometimes the baristas will even make something up for me, which I love. They also have dog treats and pup cups, which is obviously a huge bonus, and the food is always really tasty too. My newest favorite: the eggnog latte. It's here early this year, and I am absolutely here for it.

Urban Coffee lounge has been a neighborhood staple for years and years. I'm obsessed with the fact…read morethat they make their own syrups, with the exception of a few. I absolutely love their specialty drinks like honey cardamom, and a shakerato. The vibe and atmosphere is wonderful. It's usually social and low-key but never too loud. They have excellent food, matcha with option to remove sugar (not all coffee shops have this!). Generally, I feel like their staff is really great! Love the location minus the issues with parking being tricky for a quick stop, sometimes need to pay. I keep coming back here! With gas prices over six dollars and budgets getting tighter for so many the one thing that hinders me is their prices. Their baseline drinks are an average of $5.75 + tip. Quiche slice is $8 two hard boiled eggs near $4. Typical typically if I'm gonna spend almost $10 I'd rather buy a fancy drink like a bubble tea or go out for an appetizer and food. When you own your own espresso machine and Matcha at home it's hard to justify getting such expensive drinks unless there is that "I can't make this at home" appeal - housemade syrups, Boba, etc I do love that urban coffee lounge has pour over options which can be time-consuming and cold brew, which is delicious and also more time-consuming. I appreciate their presence in the neighborhood. Having lived in Seattle for so long with so much access to incredible coffee I appreciate urban coffee lounges level of expertise with coffee. It is more rare on the east side. (Zoka is great of course!) And I will keep coming back, but sparingly due to prices. (Am I the only one who feels this way? Let me know!) Thanks for being here, urban coffee lounge!

Vanilla iced latte was good, how can you go wrong. Service: Faster than normal today. I'm guessing the key was ordering an iced drink. Ambiance: Meh. The layout could be better. It's too hard to make food selections because everything is squished in the corner. Also, where you have to wait to pick up your drinks you block the main entrance to the store. Not my favorite to place to have to wait for my order. One less star for the store design.

When I politely reminded him that we had also asked for water, he responded with attitude, pointing to someone else's water and asking if that was my name. When I said no and explained again that we had requested one, he finally gave us the water--but acted as if we were inconveniencing him. What makes it worse is that I had even left a $1 tip. The mistake wasn't ours, and there was no reason for the attitude over a simple cup of water. Experiences like this are exactly why I won't tip in places like this.

There was a deal on Yelp for this place and I was super excited to try it because I love supporting local businesses and had met this neighbor once and wanted to try her stand. When I arrived she had no idea there was a deal on Yelp for first time customers. So she said she wouldn't take it. I ONLY went because we couldn't afford it without the deal. (Been relying on the food bank for past two years) I let my people pleasing get the better of me and it felt awkward to leave without ordering so I did .... What a disappointing experience. :(

Staff is friendly and upbeat! What brought me to this stand was Lauren's amazing photo here on yelp of the Iced Pistachio Dark Chocolate Matcha. The drink looked delicious and I wanted it! I ordered it 24oz with hemp milk around 1-2pm on a Monday. Stand wasn't too busy with only 1-2 cars at a time. The staff member preparing my drink was nice and had great customer service. They were all sold out of the lemon poppyseed muffins they sell but she gave me a freebie of a lemon poppyseed muffin top that was a mistake order they cannot sell and not their usual muffins which was very kind. Now on to the drink! It was super delicious and the barista let me know during our conversation that they get their Matcha from Japan which is awesome. She whisked the matcha right in front of me which as a matcha lover was nice to see. The menu is creative with barista choices and a variety of options. I look forward to trying something different next time. Only con for me was the massive ice cubes. Holy balls! Literally...ice was thicc. Refer to my photos. It was my first time trying this stand so I didn't want too many customizations to my drink. Note to self...ask for light ice next time girl!!! I will return and would recommend :)
