The only thing better than seeing Starbucks in the airport is finding a Peet's!! Aside from Philz in Palo Alto and Cartel in Phoenix, Peet's is my favorite coffee shop around. This location was a bit of a mess given the long lines and tiny seating area (no room for bags which is tough since we're in the airport and everyone has bags...). I love that Peet's is still "hand pulled" espresso and the beans are much smoother than Starbucks. read more

The ugly: Being in an airport and having an actual restaurant space, you would think they would try a little harder to have some munching options... Unfortunately, they have some pathetic attempts at muffins it looks like they butyin plastic packages and unwrap to sell. The brighter side: They have some tables, some outlets and you can get on the Boingo internet to do some work. I do like the sound of the cappuccino maker going and the coffee crowd. Bring in some healthy options and some decent looking grab and go items, and I would definitely be a fan. read more

I ordered a black tie and waited in line behind everyone else like a normal person. I was surprised though when people behind me were getting their drinks earlier. After 5 people had passed me, I went up to ask if my drink had been made, and she said the order never came through. That's annoying. Then she took forever to make the drink and clearly didn't know what went in it. Even more annoying. The line is always LONG. Always. But I'm glad they're there - because for early morning flights, coffee is a must! My flight left at 5:30 am, and they were open when I got there at 4:45-ish. Coffee is fine. They are conveniently located at the fork to the different ends of the terminal. read more

Usually any meal or snack one has at the airport is a drag. Everything is normally disappointing and overpriced. While it is not cheap, Peet's was definitely better than I expected. The coffee was flavorful and the muffin I had tasted fresh baked. It was definitely a better tasting breakfast than I expected while waiting for my flight. The line is pretty long here, but they do a good job of keeping it moving. If you are having breakfast at Hobby, this is not a bad place to stop for coffee and a muffin. read more

I found peets to be a little dirty compared to other coffee shops at airports. Stopped in around 3:30 on a Thursday and purchased a medium frozen iced chai tea and chocolate muffin. Cost about $8. Came to this coffee shop cause the starbucks line was too long. I ordered a small caramel Macchioto. It was more expensive than the starbucks coffee which was pretty shocking to me. It was a bit too sweet for my liking but still drinkable. The customer service was nice but some of the seats need to be replaced as they have wide visible tears. All together not too bad of a place of starbucks is super busy. read more

The staff was not pleasant. The menu was small and there was not many coffee choices to choose from even though it's called Peet's Coffee. I got a blueberry muffin and it was very spongy and there was not much flavor. I got a blended Carmel coffee and it was all milk and Carmel just mixed together. This Peets is horrible. I was here today 9/6 @ 8:26am. The people that take your orders doesn't write down your names for your order so people were confused as to whose drink it was. There was only one barista and two cashier lines so the barista was really backed up with no help on barista so the wait for your coffee was about 15 minutes. I asked for no foam in my coffee yet still got foam. The barista that makes your coffee doesn't really know how to make coffee so probably needs better training. Sadly, I'd rather go to Dunkel Donuts down the hall terminal. read more

12/07/15: Just copied review from other Peets. Once this location goes live, will give that location a 1 star review. Went back today to new Peets. Took 8 min to walk down, grab coffee and get back to gate. Nice short walk to gates 1-5 with a people mover and no line. Also, Chick fil A breakfast is also at gates 1-5. I mentioned that below but it was worth mentioning again. :P THERE ARE 2 PEETS at HOU!!! Apparently the location at gate 1 has been open a little over a month (as of 11/17/15.) There is a Chick fil A, a Peets and a Pappasitos at the new gates 1-5. Road Warriors, you can get your coffee and get back to your gate (moving walkways) faster than standing in the other line. My 5 star review is for the location at gate 1. I would give the other location a 1 or 2 star (tons of employees, slowest coffee line ever.) Took 15 to 20 min to get a drip coffee one week. -_- Go to gate 1!!! It is a nice morning walk and will probably save you time if you are more than 5 to 10 ppl back in the other line. read more

This is the friendliest Peet's Coffee I been to. I was immediately greeted by the staff. placed my order & picked up within reasonable time. This place was run by two employees and they knew what they were doing. both worked as a great team. Also seemed very happy to be at work eventhough it was early in the morning. Bad attitude and lies from a Barista. I walked up to a Barista in training at about 12noon on 6/27/2017. I've been to Peet's coffee all over the country, including this location several times. I asked the Barista in training for my usual. An almond milk latte. She input my order and her trainer went to make my coffee. When I got my coffee and tasted, it was terrible. I opened the lid and saw that the Trainer had just made me a coffee and added a small amount of almond milk. I walked back to the Trainer and trainee, and asked if I could have the almond milk warmed up...a almond milk latte. She said they didn't do it. I looked up at the menu behind her and sure enough, they still had it on the menu. I've always asked for it and received it. It's the drink that got me switch to Peet's/ I hope the Barista in training doesn't pick up the bad attitude of her trainer. I won't be coming back to this location. read more

I was starving walking around the airport in Houston trying to find food. I stopped in to this no name brand coffee shop and ordered a smart water and a cheese danish. I was shocked that my bill was $6.69 which is way more than the cost of Starbucks items. The Danish was good which is the only reason I gave them a three star rating. read more

When I was flying a few days before Thanksgiving, I got two cups of the "day's drip" coffee for my mother and me. The coffee is delicious, the service was quick, the cashier was very friendly and pleasant but when I tried to redeem a coupon she wanted to check with her manager to see if they accepted them at this location--no problem. But the manager was obviously not in a good mood today. It's fine to be having a bad day, but the customers shouldn't see that, nor should your junior employees. And by the way, they don't accept the coupons at this location. To be clear, I'm perfectly fine with keeping my coupon and using it later at another Peet's location. I would always get my coffee at this place, but today they had the most rude baristas I have ever met (6/16/2017). My white mocha tasted like a black drip coffee that was burnt. So I went back and asked if they could remake it again. The barista was rude and asked what was wrong with it. I asked if she could simply make another one and she rolled her eyes and talked about me under her breath to her other barista friend. All she did was pump more syrup into the coffee and gave it back to me. No apologizes or anything. The coffee still tasted like shit. I guess I'm always going to Starbucks at this airport now. Sunday morning 8am, consistent line of 25 people served by 3 employees moving in slow motion, no apparent operational training. Wow the owners of this place have no idea of the sales they are losing. This is a review of the Peets near gate 41. Absolutely terrible service. One cashier was trying to keep the line moving by making people yell up their orders from three positions back in line, while ringing up the customer in front of him. Of course folks had to yell it repeatedly because he couldn't hear from that far away and was distracted. The other cashier didn't inform me there were no cold drink lids until after she'd made my cold drink and was rude and unresponsive. When I asked have my water bottle filled she filled it in the utility sink with her hand running under the water, rather than from the cold water spigot. The entire place was filthy, with overflowing trash and drink splashes covering the straws that are available right next to the trash. Just avoid this. read more

There are no Starbucks at Hobby Airport. But Peet's is a refreshing alternative. The deep wood, comfortable tables/booths, and the assorted treats make this place cozy. The staff is responsive and is conveniently located next to Gate 40. Take a look at the treats as well. I ordered a vanilla latte. It was rich, hot, and frothy. Get you one! read more

I stopped here for a drink before getting on a flight with my group to San Jose, Costa Rica. I had a mojito frappe or something like that. It was very nice & I would definitely love to get that again sometime. Occasionally, I also like the juices, teas, and snacks they also offer at Peet's.
