There aren't many options for boba tea in the Southeast Houston/Greater Hobby area, but at least they have a decent one here in the Hong Kong Market. It looks as old as the strip mall itself from the outside and unimpressively decorated on the inside. However, what it lacks in appearance is compensated for in value. I only paid $5.95 for my taro milk tea with boba. A drink this size would probably cost $7-9 in Bellaire. When I saw how large the cup was, I assumed that most of it must have been ice but I was wrong. Although it didn't contain anything particularly special to make it stand out, it served as a refreshing drink on a mundane late afternoon nonetheless. If you took a panoramic glance of the strip mall after parking, you'd barely notice this shop over the more lavish, modern-looking DaBoba a couple stores down. DaBoba undoubtedly looks nicer and offers more traditional food options associated with milk tea (e.g. popcorn chicken), but their drinks are significantly smaller and more expensive. Therefore, it didn't surprise me to see Oh My Tea still receiving a steady, albeit smaller, influx of customers on a Tuesday. In summary, a great option for boba but not so much a place to hang out. read more

Inside has very limited seating and it is mostly a takeout. There is a panel separation between the staff and the customer when you order. The drinks are okay but I will only get it if I'm in the area. My drink was the lavender milk tea and strawberry jelly. You can definitely taste the flavors and it was perfect with the sugar ratio amount. read more

Really friendly cashier that recommended the Flamingo drink. I have no idea what it is but let's try it! Recommendations are always nice. I also got some Nuoc Mat that looked good when I was finding a boba place in the area to quench my thirst. From the 2 drinks, I like the Flamingo better than the Nuoc Mat. I was a big fan of this place, however I will never return or recommend business to anyone else. The Manager Truong would rather argue about giving someone a replacement drink called Boom Peach Tea which was made incorrectly without the main ingredient "peaches". The tea didn't have all the ingredients. They failed to inform the customer that they didn't have the peaches that go inside of the tea before the order was taken. I bought a drink for my mother whom has had this same Boom Peach Tea several times and noticed the main ingredient peaches weren't there. She called in to the store to let them know that the drink wasn't correctly prepared. She spoke with the Manager Truong who told her she can come back to the store and they would replace the Boom Peach Tea because that didn't have anymore peaches that day. We decided to go back on Mother's Day! We encountered the Manager Truong and he didn't want to honor what he told my mother over the phone about giving a replacement drink. He stated that she could purchase a new Boom Peach Tea and he could add "extra ingredients"' the one they didn't put in the first time. Is that good customer service? No! Asking someone to purchase another drink only to get extra ingredients when it was their error the first time. The error they made was not stating they didn't have all the ingredients to make the Boom Peach Tea! If I would have known that, I wouldn't have ordered the Boom Peach Tea. He stated he couldn't give her a replacement drink for free for several minutes. Only for us to tell him it was bad customer service and he finally decided to give her the replacement drink. Just know if they mess up your order they expect you to pay more for their error. Now they have lost a customer that would go in a buy 3 drinks at once. Very tiny little shop almost hidden. Wasn't much to look at inside since it seemed like they were redesigning their shop. But the boba itself was pretty decent. It was smooth to drink. Nahhhh...i tried to love it. But i was in desperate search of boba one day and my other spot was closed. First off, the lady was super unfriendly. Upon entering she didn't greet me. Mind you the place is pretty small and not busy so it was just her and I- I thought mayb at first she didn't hear me say hello so i said it again...and juuuust one more time in case i was trippin. Nope! Indeed i wasn't. I chucked it up- ordered my Usual; jasmine, green. The boba was a little to hard for me and the tea was pretty bitter. When i asked how it was sweetened upon taking my order she said with sugar, so I opted to have without- so that's probably why. The place is small and friendly, the patrons all seemed satisfied and there was a steady stream of customers on a Saturday afternoon. Got the Taro tea with tapioca and almond milk. Took a sip . Fireworks in my mouth!! It was smooth, not too sweet, and the freshness of it all was truly remarkable. The location is hard to get to; the strip mall hidden, the parking lot is pocketed with huge pot holes, and the name of the place is different than what Yelp reports. They have a huge menu with various options. Unfortunately, their menu items don't come with a description, so their more fun and creative names you have to either ask about it or just take a chance. We ended up ordering honeydew and taro milk teas. They use power flavor for their teas which I'm okay with (I know some who aren't), but the teas we had were super chalky, and you can't even taste any tea. We had the egg pudding as well in one of our drinks and that in it of itself was also very chalky which left the drink being unappealing to say the least. read more
