I stopped by after arriving on a flight and the service was poor with Cristopher. The associates were talking in a small huddle when I walked in, and it eventually came to take my order. I always stop at Peet's for an iced coffee before my flights out of Houston... I just don't always get to have one. The line is usually very long, but they typically move it pretty fast. I am going to keep this short and sweet. The muffin I got was too sweet. The coffee was alright but I think the milk got a little burnt and they didn't put sugar free syrup in it, which i requested. The line was very long but I think if people realized there was a Dunkin down the terminal a bit more then this line wouldn't have been so long...wish I knew the secret. Peet's is very much like a Starbucks. Their menu is very similar and their prices are comparable. There is not a lot of variety or choice when you are in the airport. They are a great replacement since there is no Starbucks. There are coffees and lattes and different muffins and bagels. Before my flight, I stopped by Peet's to grab a sandwich for during my flight. After entering the cafe, I had to wait at least a minute before a staff person appeared. The one who did had a couple of bags of sandwiches in her hand and was on the way out but she told me someone would be right with me. A few seconds later, another gal came out. I asked her for a recommendation on a sandwich but she deflected and said she likes the salads they had. She went on to say that she was not a big fan of any of their sandwiches because they each had some dressings/condiments she didn't like. Upon hearing that, I was a little dismayed but being that there weren't any other cold sandwich shops nearby (at least none that I was aware of) I just grabbed smoked turkey on focaccia. The sandwich was okay but it was dominated by the bread with VERY little content in between. I really didn't taste any overwhelming flavors which apparently had turned off the staffer but I felt like I was paying mostly for bread and not much else. As to the staffer's comments, I would be more than just a little upset if I owned and/or managed that store. The last thing you want is someone who works for you practically driving away business. As a customer you like honesty, even though her comments weren't on point in my eyes. Not sure I would come back here though - next time, I'll maybe go just across the hallway and enjoy a hot Chick-fil-a sandwich before I board. The only reason I didn't dine at CFA or another restaurant in the gate area was that I wasn't hungry to eat right then and I also didn't want to take aboard hot food that I would eat later but only after it was cold. Since Peet's is a coffee shop first and foremost, I won't give them a lower rating. If I come back here, I'll stick to their coffee or something more in their wheelhouse. read more

There's really no peets anywhere else in Houston besides the airport so I was glad to stop by during my travels here. I really like the green tea latte with vanilla or sweetened. I ordered their summer iced green tea latte with vanilla and even asked for less ice and they still ended up filling my cup with 3/4 ice. I finished my iced latte in a manner of less than 3 minutes. The whole experience there left me feeling rushed to order and it wasn't really about customer service. The iced vanilla version of the green tea also was not that good. I was fairly disappointed and will stick with the hot version. Make sure when you ask for less ice in your drinks, that they give you less ice. I was better off telling them no ice to get more bang for my buck! read more

The workers were rude. To everyone I observed at the counter, not just my daughter and myself. My chai tea latte barely filled half the cup! I could tell how light it was when I picked it up . But to avoid confrontation with already unfriendly workers, I opted to not say anything and instead write this review. I worked in customer service for many many years. You have to leave your problems and attitude at home if you want to be successful in any kind of customer service work. I was really disappointed. My daughter is a service member.. She's only 19 but I hate seeing people be rude to her. She asked, really sweetly, if they could add vanilla to her iced chai, and they immediately snapped at her . No! We don't have vanilla... I have never experienced treatment like at this coffee shop. Got my coffee, took a sip, and it was cold! I asked the employee behind the counter if she could heat it up. She then went on tell me I did not get the coffee from her. I showed her the container with Peet's coffee on it and she said again I did not get it from her. I pointed to the lady I got it from and said I got it from her and she said I must speak with her. The girl I got my coffee from said she could not heat it up, but a new batch will be done shortly. While waiting at the counter I asked if she wouldn't mind throwing away my cold coffee. She pointed to the trash outside of shop in airport walkway and said throw away your own coffee. Peet's coffee is good coffee. It's coffee and that fact alone is good enough to make early morning flights seem less bleary. The coffee is decent but has a tendency to be a little weak sometimes. I like a big, bold coffee taste. Strong and what many consider bitter is fine by me. I welcome it. As much of a raging sweet tooth as I have, it seems I'd like sweet coffees and teas. Dead wrong. Therefore it's very off-putting (and literally sickening) when I order a caffe latte with no sweetener, flavoring, etc. and I'm given some sweet, disgustingly stomach-annoying coffee concoction. Don't do that to me at this early hour please, especially when you have noted that I want it unsweetened. I am willing to overlook a mistake because we all make them. Many might judge me since I drink blended coffee, but I know a good Frappe. from a bad Frappe and Peet's blended drinks are pretty good. This is primarily because they lack the ease of customization that Starbucks has. This Peet's would be at least a 3 star establishment, but their pastries are way below par. I needed food, so I grabbed something quick here that was prepackaged. I got a bottle of water and a sandwich. My sandwich was wheat bread with lots of turkey and some cheese on it. I was offered mayo or mustard, but I personally don't like either. It looked boring without lettuce or tomato or something. However, it was actually surprisingly good. We were here on the evening of January 10th; I got a plain coffee and my friend purchased a little carton of milk. We had both eaten the same goods all day long from Pittsburgh to Houston, except for her having this milk. Within an hour, she began feeling nauseous, and having serious stomach problems. It's now been over 36 hours and she is STILL sick. If it had simply been spoiled milk, she would have felt better pretty quickly after throwing up the milk; however, only a contamination from parasites or bacteria could cause this kind of food poisoning. Beware of this place; if one carton if milk is contaminated, there's no telling what else is contaminated at this location. There's also no telling how many other customers may have already been affected! Health department, come check it out!! read more

Only good coffee spot in Houston Airport. Line moves fast, friendly staff, odd design layout, but espresso does the job and the coffee is decent. The coffee could be A LOT better, but it works for an airport. Stop here every time I travel through. Iced Coffee + Sweet n Low get it! read more
