Let me start by saying I used to always give this company 5 stars. And overall I still would based on the owner. As he has posted in other reviews their policies and procedures are clear. In addition, he has never held us to the 30 day contract cancellation. He has refunded us money when it was warranted. He has made good on any issues we have had and even promptly helped us on issues that he didn't have to. He honestly told us about some items that he could fix or ones that we could save $$ because he thought they were still under warranty. However, like with all growing companies, some techs are good and others are not as good. Our original tech was amazing! After that we had some issues with several of them. However, if you think you won't find this at a lot of companies, be warned. It is not a high paying job and these are mainly young adults. However, know the owner is honest and has made good on all issues and they are worth a try. I think as he gets help that sticks around and has time to vet some of them, the service will be increased all around and they will be worthy of 5 stars again read more

Honestly, I know I did not have a big project, and I could see why this would not be a priority to most companies - but not Peerless. Responsive, accommodating, and more importantly, communicates. Wow! These guys are amazing. I felt obligated to let my last pool company try and get it right this spring and they failed time and time again. When I pulled the plug on them and called PEERLESS POOL SERVICE, everything changed immediately. Every single time I wanted to use my pool it was healthy, clean, and ready to go. I didn't realize there was such a difference in pool care and effort. These guys do it right and they do it well. Patrick brings small treats for the dogs and spends a min or two saying hello and treating them like their his own, you can't ask for better service or care in my humble opinion. I hired Peerless Pool Services to complete the re-plastering of my pool, replacement of broken tiles and repair of the bond beam. Chris never showed up until after the job was complete and demanded I complete the payment as the work was done. Throughout the whole interaction he maintained I had contact with someone I have never met, and to be honest I am not sure he is a real person. The state of the plaster was horrible but he advised in his 20 years of experience this is normal and they will fix it under warranty. I asked if he would like me to post the pictures for the public's opinion on what they think of demanding payment as finished job, and he replied "I do not appreciate threats to defame my company". I can also advise I had a third party to inspect the pool and they also concluded the plaster was not done properly. After his company representatives added the acid the pool did look great, but within a few weeks white dots started to appear and the plaster finish became discolored. Peerless' first visit to inspect this they advised me that the spots brush away. However we witnessed the person on camera and he did not even go to the area of complaint in the pool. He simply pushed the brush once and left. Chris Scaife still maintained at this time that the white spots brushed away. Finally, after the problems with the Plaster being reported March 15th, Chris Scaife finally came to see it for himself June 3rd. For this he requested I was present and also the person that Chris Scaife continuously insists I have been communicating with, but have never met or spoke to. This person of course did not show, but Chris did. It was during this time that Chris agreed there was an issue. Also to highlight, the only available times Chris was available to come out to view the pool was 10 am to 2pm Monday to Friday which would clarify why he was unable to be involved in the project he was paid to look after as it seems he only works part time. Chris would not advise the issue, other then it is warranty, and he continued to delay so I contacted the supplier of the plaster to advise on the condition of the plaster. A representative from the plaster company did come to view the pool along with Chris Scaife and they advised i would get a report within 10 days. When the plaster company representative advised one of the causes was the acid start up, Chris tried to insinuate this idea came from me, however he has even stated in the emails that this was advised by the plaster company. This was another instance where Chris was either lying or not aware of what was going on in the project he was paid to look after. Now on another note they were to replace the broken tiles, which they did except 2 which Chris advises were damaged by shifting ground after the plaster was finished, when we have pictures pre plaster showing the damaged tiles. The repair to the bond beam was supposed to have epoxy "shot" between the slab and the wall. However they put silicone with a light coating of epoxy overtop, and then proceeded to claim that it is caused by shifting ground. Chris Scaife still claims "We did clean out and apply the epoxy under the pad", even after this being clarified to him. This is now over 5 months since Peerless Pool Services has been paid and the work has still not been completed. I will add in the last few weeks Chris has been more cooperative but still refuses to release the report from the plaster manufacturer before they complete the work. In summary if you would like a care-free project, I do not recommend hiring Peerless Pool Services. From the reviews he has it seems he is capable to change a pump or clean a pool and filter, but from my experience I would not recommend hiring them to do any serious work. read more

Big shoutout to Chris with Peerless. We had a motor replaced by a competitor a few weeks prior and then started having problems with the system. Not sure if it was tied to a loose wire or not. When I emailed and called the competitor, they wouldn't respond after multiple attempts. I noticed there was a burnt wire that could have been the culprit due to a short. After replacing, no power to the Aqualink module. We had Peerless install a full Aqualink/Jandy system in 2018. I reached out to them for help. I called Chris and he answered immediately. He was getting hammered by the schedule but made a point to come by as soon as he could. Within 10 minutes of arrival, he found the problem. Up and running. I have a 21k gallon fiberglass pool. Finding a pool service that was willing to maintain my pool was difficult. Then, finding someone that actually knew what they were doing was even more difficult. Peerless Pool Service is responsible, helpful, knowledgeable and affordable. Having several negative experiences with other pool services, I am pleased to have Peerless on my side! Poor management and zero professionalism!! Stay far away from these guys. I've only had them once to clean and then ran into communication issues . Their service person didn't call me, as per her agreement with me, so she just sat in vechile at gate for 2 nd clean. I was home waiting for her The manager said she would call me , but I never heard from her all day. Service person was supposed to come back at end of day but manager switched the plan to have her no-show and I pay anyway. They are located in Tomball anyway, and so am I so this wasn't out of their way. I have pre-payed for the month of October because they insist on payment in advance. Very argumentive and don't honor their word. This poor communication shows how petty they are. Very poor communication and business sense!! The service I get from Pearless has gone beyond expectations. The owner Chris is understanding and wanting to please his customers. Our pool tech Patrick is a great guy. This morning I let my dogs out on him on accident, he took it in stride saying "I got a big milkbone for y'all!" The owner, Chris personally answered the phone when I called to make a pool school appointment. He was able to come out right away and help us with our new to us pool. He stood in the blazing sun for hours showing us everything, and didn't leave until we were comfortable with all the equipment. The price was fair, and he has since given us estimates for other improvements we would like to make to our pool. By the end of our appointment, we felt like we had a friend in the back yard helping us with our pool.
