I was searching for a new place for pizza and found Peel Pizza, Adams Street, Milton and ordered, even though I had never heard of them. Reviews looked good. My husband liked his sausage, banana peppers pizza and I did not care for the white meatball pizza I ordered. Ordered online, put information in for prepay with credit card, email said would arrive 1 hr. - 1 1/4 hr. which it did. Rude delivery person from "Slice" told my husband it was a cash receipt and it was a special order form which we could have put the tip on. My husband told him we had prepaid. Driver looked at me and said call restaurant which I didn't because he was already on the line with someone. My husband showed him the charge from our bank and he still didn't believe him. He asked the person on the line "how much I get"? I called the store and spoke to a man who answered. He kept asking me for my address. I asked if Slice was the delivery service for Peel Pizza but he never answered me. Said he'd tell the owner tomorrow. Not good enough. We will never order from here again. read more

We've been ordering from here since they opened in Milton! The pizza we are usually happy with but this weekend we ordered a chicken parm calzone and they asked if they could put the sauce on the side which was totally fine but when we received the calzone it had maybe 5 chunks of chicken throughout the entire thing! My husband who rarely complains also said he felt like he was eating a block of cheese. So disappointed! Also, we were greeted with some rude comments from behind he counter. This used to be our Friday night take out place, NO MORE! On Good Friday we ordered a parmigetten and got a pepperoni. When we called to complain and request delivery of the ordered Pizza- nope and no manager call back despite multiple promises that would happen. Decided to give them another try picking pizza up this time. My husband arrived at the promised time and pizza was not even started. Guy with who usually answers phone gruffly-sorry. I wanted to give them another shot so ordered 2 pizzas. Wings and salad last night. I was told by woman 40 to 60 minutes for delivery. After 85 minutes I called re status and got rude gruffnguy who rudely told me it's Friday night, what did I expect and order was still there and would be out in 5 to 10 minutes. After 15 minutes I called back and was told by woman order was out for delivery and she would void charge and profusely apologized. She took my number for manager to call me back and I expressed my concern re the problem gentlemen who has no customer service skills. More than 24 hours later no promised manager call to follow up once again. Evidently management doesn't care so I am taking the $100 plus I normally spend at peel Monthly some place else. Honestly this is my first Yelp review~ I was so angered by the callous customer service,over 3 occasions I felt the need to share my experience. I've been ordering pizza and sometimes the chicken wings from peels since they opened. We really like the food but something I need to let you know here. The service is horrible. The order is never what you asked for. Every time you ask for something different than they have in the menu, it will be wrong. So if you don't mind about eating things that you didn't ask for or missing things that you asked for, the food is good and you should give a shot. read more

I was the payor a visitor from Atlanta. We had a carryout order for $65 worth of pizza including a house salad with very wilted and brown arugula lettuce. Dressing was ordered on the side and I did not see it, wilted enough so no need anyway. The toppings were sparse and the arugula on one of the pizza's was.... you guessed it wilted!! I loved this place down to the very last bite. The skillet baked wings were so tasty I was ready to order more to bring home. Staff was pleasant and restaurant is right off the expressway. Pizza was cooked to perfection, lightly crispy crust was delicious to the very last bite. I tried the touchdown pizza and it was loaded with toppings and perfect. Do not recommend this restaurant. While good pizza, they are unreliable often not available by phone to make the order. I decided to give them another try after pausing for a year. They told me 30 minutes after calling in the order. I arrived 40 minutes from making the order and after waiting 5 minutes to pick up the order, they told me they lost the order. I've had the pizza before and it's good. This review is for the lack of customer service at Peel Pizza Hingham. I placed an order on Sunday to have some food for friends who were passing by from out of town. I had called the restaurant at first and there was a message with NO indication that they were closed. I was even placed on hold. So I turned to my trusty sidekick, Seamless, to place the order. Boom. "Order received by Peel Pizza". 2 hours later. No pizza. Hungry friends. Humiliated hostess. After calling Seamless, we find out the restaurant was, in fact, closed. Peel Pizza did not turn off their ordering on Seamless. In the words of Michelle Tanner, "How rude!!" I would give 3.5 if I could because I like that the menu is unique and attempts to use higher quality ingredients.The pizza is thin crust similar to Angelos over in Quincy with a crisp dark edge and some oil and cornmeal on the bottom crust. My issue is that for the price the amount of toppings should be far more generous. I spent $50 to get a large pizza, a small pizza, and wings. Probably could get the same at other places for $15-$20 less. So, is that amount worth the difference in quality??? Maybe occasionally but not as your go to Friday night pizza place. Will I be back? Delicious pizza. Don't know what it is, but there must be some magical ingredient in the crust here that isn't normally in pizza crusts in this area. So delicious. I work in Milton and recently stopped in to Peel Pizza on my way home from work. I ordered a thin crust pizza and asked that it be slightly crispy. It was by far the best thin crust I've had. Asking for a crispy pizza is definitely a gamble, at most establishments I end up with a charred mess. Needless to say, I now stop in once a week to grab a pizza on the way home from work. Guys, I have had it with Peel Pizza. This is the at least the fourth time time they have disappointed me. First time, I order a pizza and they say it will be delivered in 45 minutes and it comes in 2 hours. Second time, I call two days ahead to order a pizza. They lose the order. Third time, pizza comes and it is covered with cheddar cheese and is disgusting. Fourth time, I call and they say I can use their text app to put in the order. Great! I do that. The order is supposed to come at 5:30PM. I have a text that says this. Guess what? It comes at 3PM! I call and am FURIOUS. The guy has the guts to say to me: "You should always call to verify the text order. I didn't see that it was at 5:30." And he is rude, and it is unbelievable to me that they would have a text ordering system without the ability to actually, you know, order by text. This is the worst possible customer service on the planet, and I'm not even mentioning the general incompetence of those working at the store. I have tried and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but my conclusion is that they do not care about their customers. I worked in the restaurant business for years and years and would never dream of treating a customer this way. I will be writing this scathing review on every possible website that I can think of. I'm giving this 1 star because the first time we had it, it was overly pricey but really good. 35 dollars for 2 small pizzas seems a bit much, but the quality was good, so we were willing to order again. The problem with this location seems to be on the customer service end. As I mentioned, we ordered delivery from this location a week ago, and it was really good. I'm giving this 1 star, because when we called this week (at 4 pm, not a super busy time), the woman on the phone couldn't understand our street name. After we spelled it out for her 4 times, she then got frustrated, and stated that they don't deliver to Quincy. We said that they delivered to us last week? She said, well we don't deliver to Quincy ANY more. We live literally an 8 minute drive away (according to Google Maps). We gave up and hung up. Not going back there. read more

The pizza here is AWESOME! Thin crust with a lot of flavor. We had the PB&J (pineapple, bacon and jalapeños) and the Clam Chowder. My kids love Peel, but after the second time of getting our order wrong and being dismissed as if we, the customer, made the mistake, we will no longer be ordering from Peel. They actually asked if we called another location while giving our daughter half of our order. When my daughter asked for the rest of the order to be made while she waited, they said no. Normally I enjoy Peel, especially the Arrabbiata which is delicious. Today was a terrible experience. The wrong pizza and the wrong size was made; despite giving my order 3 times over the phone. I was very excited to try this new pizza place, reviews of other locations looked promising, called for delivery at about 3:30 and was told it would be about 40 min . After 90 minutes I called to check on the status of my order and was told there was a mix-up with my order and it was on it's way, 15 minutes later pizza and wings arrived cold. Awesome thin crust pizza. Great menu, loads of toppings. We would def order again. The only drawback...our food was delivered cold. I had to put into the oven to reheat it. Ordered here a few times and pizza and wings are great. However, the delivery driver had no change at all so I was forced to give a large tip- weird that a delivery driver didn't have change. We ordered 3 small pizzas here recently. There were only three of us eating and we couldn't compromise so we each got our own. It is pricey, our total was $54 and I was a little stunned. However, the small pizza is more equivalent to a large at other pizza shops and needless to say we had plenty of leftovers that reheated nicely in the oven. We ordered the Grate Outdoors (without arugula, personally I don't like arugula) the Roasted Veggie and the Chicken Bacon Ranch. The first two were delicious (I tried them all) and the quality of the ingredients was fresh and top notch. The Chicken Bacon ranch was average and no better than any other pizza shop. Overall though I was very impressed and the Grate Outdoors was one of the best pizzas I have ever had, and I've had a lot! Looking forward to trying more and now that I know how generous the small sized pizza is, it isn't so pricey! read more
