Excellent food! Gringo tacos were the best ground beef tacos we've had! Strawberry infused margaritas awesome as well! Good service, could be friendlier, but attentive. Nice change up from the mounds of seafood we had consumed the past three days. read more

Staff were very attentive and fun. Food is great, atmosphere is awesome! Great little spot! From an out of towner. Highly recommend!

Our burritos and roasted corn were excellent. They also have a Donald Trump piñata...enough said!

Slow service, limited menu and so so drinks. I was disappointed. The food was okay, tex mex.

Not sure what happened at Pedro's... Last 3 times have been so disappointing....and this place used to be a "sure thing", so it's confusing. Drinks are definitely not what they used to be, in presentation or taste. The food pricing is not cheap, but in line with other overpriced places in the immediate area. Soup of the day was very good. The salsa fresco needed lime or cilantro or salt it was very bland (and not free, there is a charge for chips and salsa) . Tacos were good, but there are no sides. None. No rice, no beans, nada. 2 small tacos on an appetizer sized plate. Confusing, since it was a dinner item. Sides from the special were the best part of the meal, great greens and a delish potato dish. Pork, however, was quite overcooked and dry and the sauce was cloyingly sweet. If this was a one time thing, I'd say it was just an "off night", but this is the third strike. read more

Pedro's is a fun place to go. The decor was very festive and service was very friendly. The patio looked like a great place to sit and chill out on a warm summer night. Now the food, bland, bland, bland. Not sure if they ever heard of spices? I got a beef burrito and my wife got the quesadilla. They looked nice on the plate, but both had no flavor. It's a great place if you have an ulster or sensitive stomach. read more

If you like fresh, vibrant Mexican/Tex-Mex and need a little break from the fried seafoods, don't hesitate to stop in at Pedro's just off Route 9, near-ish to Dock Sq. Great drink menu, clearly focused on tequilas. Fish and chicken soft taco combo was absolutely del-ish, as was the vegan rice bowl. Great salsa and guac, with homemade "hand cut" corn chips. Outdoor seating option, parking lot. Excellent, low-key service. Overall: Wonderful. read more

Really cute Mexican restaurant in Kennebunk. It was packed! We just got drinks and chips and salsa and guacamole, and all of them were fantastic. It was a little loud given how many people were there, but the food and great service definitely made up for it. read more

The special was lobster tacos which were good but would have appreciated being told they were $29.00. Other Tacos on the menu were around $12.00. Both my daughter and my wife ordered the shrimp tacos - came with two tacos and each taco had 1 1/2 shrimp on them. Really? Not worth the money at all. read more

Almost went to a different restaurant until we read the yelp reviews.... Glad we went here! Everything was delicious and clearly homemade... The waiter (who was super nice) said they make everything there except the tortillas. I had the Chili Rollano and my husband had the fajitas, both were fabulous! Would go back in a heartbeat! read more

again, drinks, atmosphere, friendly staff , Great ! The food, I just don't get. I had the tequila shrimp appetizer which I have not tried before. It was shrimp drowned in salsa . I expected a nice seared or glazed shrimp with tequila flavor. I am writing this review because I so want the food to get better or just define itself to authentic mexican or something new and fresh. , I will from now on , just go there for drinks. read more

Food was good but service stunk . Put a smile on your face honey. Looked like she was mad while serving us , I got the lobster quesadilla which was great but took a while to get here . Also music gives me a headache . read more

Pedro's - Mexican Near Me - Kennebunk, Maine

Love Pedros! Great food, laid back atmosphere, great bartenders! I have never felt rushed but we do avoid it in the summer season!

After a long day at work my coworkers and I only wanted two things. Something with cheese and an ice cold drink. We chose Pedro's since we had all been before and we could sit outside. One of our friends had gotten there earlier so we joined her outside. It was the perfect night for some margaritas and good company. Needless to say the company was the only good thing about this visit. Our cold beverages did not come for about 30 minutes after we sat down, and when we received our food mine had to be sent back. Mind you I know this is Kennebunkport at dinner time and I was trying to be understanding knowing how it can be. With that being said, it really was not busy at all. I have dined in the port plenty to know what I was experiencing was not okay and not what I expected at all. I think our server was too interested in the table next door based on what we could overhear of their conversations. We certainly were not on top of his list of priorities. By the time I got my food my friends were done eating so I had to get mine to go. My friend asked to talk with a manager and was created with a not so nice look from our server. The manager only took my meal off and did not seem super impressed or interested in talking with us. Moral of the story: three hungry women, not impressed in the slightest, left super disappointed. Sad to say that was my last margarita there and I will be venturing elsewhere from now on. read more

Padros is amazing! The best Mexican food you will find on the East Coast! The staff is amazing and so friendly. The first time we went we felt like we were home with friends..... That is because all the staff makes you feel so welcome! You will not find a better place to eat, drink and be treated like family! A must visit if you like great food and wonderful people! read more

This place feels like a mini trip :) I really loved the decoration and the set up. The menu was awesome and so was the food and drinks. We had a great waitress and really enjoyed our dinner . read more

The owners here get it !! With the area overwhelmed with seafood and fish oriented cuisine Kate and Pete identified the perfect need. Pedro's has the freshest ingredients daily, a staff that works their tails off and a cuisine that is the perfect foil for the K area. A great idea executed well !! read more

I eat lobster, at least once a day, when I'm in Maine. Last night, we wanted to see what else was out there. Worst Margarita Prima ever! I believe the bartender left out the Grand Marnier and agave nectar. It was so sour I couldn't even drink it. When I asked the waitress if they left out the grand marnier, she assured me it was made properly. The food was fresh, yet everything was very bland. We had to pay for chips and salsa. Disappointing all around. read more

My wife and I had dinner there Friday night and sat outside on the deck. Our waitress was great . She gave us the happy our special for Margaritas at exactly 5pm. Pretty Cool... We both had tacos for dinner. My wife had the fish and I had the spicy chicken. We also spilt the shredded beef. All tree were perfect. If I was to criticize one thing , it was the fact that we had to pay for our chips and salsa, it was not that good. The chips were very greasy and the salsa , well my wife makes better salsa. Other than that, our evening was great. The food, the service and the atmosphere was great. We will be back ! read more

Four of us dined here for a late lunch - our first time and very happy to have come across it!! Friendly staff, delicious margaritas, and awesome atmosphere! Loved the vegetarian burrito and look forward to trying the many other dishes the menu has to offer. Only downside was bland guacamole, nothing that salt from our margarita rims couldn't fix! read more

Staff was very nice, service was quick- but man was the food terrible! Bland, dry, and way waaaay overpriced. $40+ will get you four of the tiny over-cooked tacos and chips. Honestly, I feel like I'm being generous with two stars. read more

Would have given this 5 stars because the food and drinks were wonderful. The only complaint I have is that the hostess told us to sit anywhere, which we did. She then came over with the menus, napkins and silverware in a pile, dropped them in the middle of the table, and walked away. Things didn't start out so well. Our server was great and friendly, offering suggestions when we asked. The food was terrific and the margatia(s) were excellent. Glad we didn't leave after our rude introduction to the place. read more

after a day of coast watching, we saw Pedros and stopped by at 4 to see if our dog could join us. They had no problem with the dog on their patio. I had the taco plate and my wife the taco salad with beef. The tacos were juicy, not too spicy, and I totally enjoyed them. The Tecates were only 2 bucks and went down easy on a 90 degree day. My wife loved her salad as well. Great place and highly recommend. read more

Sign me up for the best nachos ever and a spicy margarita! Pedro's had consistently improved over the last few years and is on top it's game now. Live this fire pit and the live music every few weeks! read more

I have never been treated so poorly by wait staff! I knowingly arrived earlier than my party. Advised the host that my party would likely be at least another half hour and they told I was ok to take a table now. I even ordered myself a drink and an appetizer while I waited. I was then told by a waitress that I couldn't hold a table and if I wasn't eating I needed to leave... Even though I had a drink in front of me and had just finished an app. and told them I'd be ordering food when my party arrived. There were no customers waiting for a table either. If it was such a big deal, they should have asked me to wait to take a table. Also if they want tables to turn over immediately, what is the point of having bands. We were looking forward to a long dinner and drinks and good music. For the record, while we were there a couple hours total we also spend over $200 for a 4 top. Needless to say I will never be back. read more

We walked in and they were a packed house with only a small table for two that sits right in front of the main door. I do not know why they would put a table there as customers that are waiting uncomfortably stand right over you. When this happened it was also winter time so the opening and closing of the doors was unpleasant. We asked if we could be seated in a section that was closed off but we were denied because they did not have their full wait staff. We understood and took the small cold table by the door. Not 5 minutes later, their servers shift must have started and they opened up the closed section to let another party in that came in right behind us. We were pretty offended at this point and the owner was in no mood to be helpful. In no way were we rude during this whole process, but we were offended by their blatant disregard for customer service. We have not been back since. read more

Bland food. Good service. Nice that you can sit outside. Try One Dock instead.

My husband and I had take out two nights ago, and I'm still mad that I wasted $35.00 for the worst meal I/ we've ever ate. I have never wrote a bad review in my life, but I had to write this in hopes that it might change your mind from going there. This is not Mexican food. It's horrible, save your money go the place in Biddeford, its not great either, but it's better than this place and you won't pay as much. read more

I am usually an advocate for our local business, but I feel like Pedro's has sold out to the tourist crowd. Called the other day to place a take out order and was told that they don't accept call in orders during "their busy hours" between 6-9pm, but that I could come in and wait by the bar for carry-out. I was told that the kitchen "would go nuts" if they saw an order come in for take out. Now let me ask you: what is the difference between waiting at the bar vs calling in and doing most of the waiting at home? I went and placed my order, and waited 25 minutes for my 2 burritos (which by the way the kitchen got wrong as I had ordered one with sauces on the side and they just omitted them altogether), watching as the couple seated at the bar 12-15 min after I'd placed my order get their nacho appetizer well before me. The bartender explained that "the kitchen is going to put their priority on the tables." Why? Do they like the idea of people who are NOT going to be consuming drinks and appys taking up floor space around the bar, preventing other customers from getting in to place their orders? To me, restaurants with somewhat limited seating have a fixed output: they can't serve more than they can seat EXCEPT when they have take out available...then they can sell more without adding extra seating. Pedro's needs to sit down and do the math here, but they don't seem to be so inclined. Consequently, I'll take my (local) business elsewhere in the future. read more

Not sure how the food is, didn't get the chance. It's a shame about the inexperienced hostess who misquoted a wait time over the phone and then lied about the wait once we were in person. read more

The service was terrible, we waited for a table for ten to twenty minutes, being ignored by staff. We then had to wait an additional ten minutes until a server came to help us. The staff spent most of the time chatting behind the bar rather than helping anyone. The food was diarrhea inducing. Had to keep asking for service. Do not recommend. read more

This place is so good. We have lived in Southern California and we know our Mexican food and we were shocked that Maine would have such good Mexican food! I really have nothing but good things to say. We only are here once but it was solid. read more

Great family dinner with very good food and great service. Only disappointment was the queso which was difficult to eat with chips as you could not really dip with chips. read more

I ordered the enchiladas, $15. I asked for no chicken and to substitute the portabellos and avocado offered on the veggie tacos. The waitress's response was right away that they don't like to substitute anything in the kitchen. I asked then if there would be any discount considering the no chicken, only cheese enchiladas and the waitress said they would still be $15. I asked her to ask the kitchen to substitute the portabellos for the chicken in any case. When she served the only cheese enchiladas there was no mention of having asked the kitchen for the substitution. One star for poor service and no consideration for the customer. I don't need to go back. read more

Terrible customer service. We walked in on Saturday at 1:00, 2 waitresses looked right at as, but did not greet us with a smile nor any direction to wait to be seated, or seat ourself. We waited about 2 minutes, and then chose a table near the front door. After 5 minutes, nobody gave us any acknowledgement - so we left. The young guy in charge of menus/chips/salsa/water was "out to lunch". He had no idea what was going on. I'm glad we didn't stay any longer. There are so many good restaurants, why waste your money dealing with crappy service. read more

Pleasantly surprised. Great margaritas with fresh-squeezed citrus flavor. House made chips and salsa were excellent. Scallop ceviche special was absolutely fantastic. Tacos were the happy hour special. Not your run of the mill tacos, soft shell with fresh toppings and great seasonings. Great service and the place seemed to have numerous regular customers on a cold weekday afternoon. Can't wait to go back and try the chile rellenos. read more

I really liked this place. I know that a lot of people do, too, including anyone we have ever taken there.

Fish tacos were dry, refried beans were terrible. For whatever reason they put sugar in them. There was 12 in our party and we all agreed the Food was below average. read more

Good food, great drinks (especially at happy hour)...not super attentive when busy, but stilll very good.

Pedro's is an outstanding restaurant with great atmosphere, awesome service and some of the best tacos I've ever had! The street tacos were outstanding and our waitress was very nice and attentive. Definitely coming back! read more
