I took I my 1990 Klein Rascal for a new front shock and a general tune. Had a call from the tech a couple of days later with an estimate and recommended replacement of shifter/brake assembly levers. I approved the work and in a couple of days my old bike is as good as new. Estimate was spot on and I am loving this bike again! I've bought dozens of bikes over the last 40 years, and this was by far my worst bike-buying experience ever. New-bike day is normally a happy time, but I've been filled with buyer's remorse ever since. Their shop is very busy (as have all bike shops been during the pandemic), but that's no excuse to be dismissive toward customers who are looking to spend $5,000 on an e-bike. I was disappointed to find that the employees rarely knew anything about the e-bike I was shopping for, and I had to do a lot of my own research. Even worse, some of the statements made by the employees (for example, that e-bikes have smart batteries that can be charged overnight and not negatively affect battery life) was downright wrong when compared with what the battery makers say on their website. When I was picking up my bike and asked for paperwork/owner's manuals for the bike and motor, they had nothing. They even sent me home with the wrong charger! (I had to go back to get the proper charger, which wasn't even in a box -- the various cords were scattered around the store.) In addition, I don't think the bike they sold me was actually new. After I got it home and had more time to look it over without staff trying to push me out the door, I found a lot of little scratches and dings. I also found that the battery life is nowhere close to what was promised (30 miles rather than 90 miles), probably because they (or the previous owner) did not follow the battery charging requirements carefully. As I came to the realization that I didn't get the bike that I thought I had purchased, I researched returning the bike. Only to find out that they don't allow bike returns! In hindsight, I wish I had bought the same bike at REI (for less money) and not been suckered into trying to support this local bike shop. read more

I can't recommend this place enough. I've been to a fair amount of bike stores and I can confidently say that this is the best one I've ever been to. Everyone there is so helpful and efficient, I called in to see if I could get my bike checked I could ride tomorrow and Liam and service squeezed me in right away and answered any questions I had. Bike was way out of tune when i bought it and had to bring it back. Most of the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. But one of the female workers was not so helpful. My brakes were funky and she just tested them but spinning the wheel and pushing the brake. She told me twice there was nothing wrong with them. She kinda of had an edge to here. When i finally was able to have a mechanic look at it he test rode it and saw the issue and repaired it. Extremely helpful staff and mechanics. Front of the house gal, not so much. read more

My experience at Pedal is similar to many others, GREAT!! Recently, while in the middle of moving from one residence to another, my 2013 Tallboy was stolen (sans front wheel), and luckily for me I have great homeowner's insurance. My insurance company encouraged me to go find what I wanted and they would take of the rest. One of my good friends who I ride with met me at Pedal as he says he has always loved going in there. I was VERY IMPRESSED the minute I walked in. It was a late Saturday afternoon and the place was packed, but the employees could not have been having a better time, and the same goes for the customers. Chris helped me out and let me ride several bike choices and I finally decided to go for a 27.5" bike, the 5010C. They had only ONE in my size that was also on sale, so I was fortunate. It wasn't the color I was hoping for, but the sale price made up for it. Chris made sure I got the best pedals they sell and set everything up really well for me and in less than an hour I was on my way. Everything about the experience was a pleasure. Their shop is amazing too. They even have a WAY BETTER selection of riding clothing than any place I've been in a long time, even REI. So all in all a wonderful experience and as soon as the little bit of snow we got this week goes away I'm heading to Green Mountain for some fun! read more

The Pedal on Belleview in Littleton is great. On my first visit to the shop, they tuned up an old second hand bike for me, so that I could donate it to charity. I think that the bike ran better than when it was new. They've fixed a few different things on a BMX bike that I bought from a local toy store for my 8 year old son. They're always very helpful even though it's obvious the bike my son rides isn't as good as the ones that they sell at Pedal. About six months ago, one of the guys helped me to pick out my daughter's first 'real' bike -- a 24" Cannondale. Great bike, the best I've ever bought. I'm looking forward to buying another 'real' bike from Pedal for my son, when he outgrows the BMX bike. And one for myself, too, when it's time to replace my bike. I probably never would have considered buying bikes from a sophisticated shop like this, if they hadn't treated me so well during my first visit. it's nice to to business with a company that treats everyone well. read more

After shipping my bike from Pittsburgh for a long weekend of riding in Fruita/Moab, found my derailleur bent and needed some other urgent service. My cousin also had a hydraulic brake cable that needed to be replaced. We thought we would lose at least a day of riding. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and provided quick service. They got us in and out in @ 60-90 minutes (the Tap Room across the parking lot is a fair place to pass the time). This store was my savior recently. I was on a bicycle ride yesterday (Saturday) along the Platte Trail and discovered I had a flat tire. I tried to fix it and realized that I was not feeling confident about my tire-changing capabilities. Faced with the task of what to do, I took out my iPhone and googled local bike shops. I knew there was one near-ish as I've ridden this stretch of the trail before, but I couldn't recall how far away it was. From my Google search, I discovered that Pedal was only 1/2 mile away. I tried riding there, but then the tire started making a squeaky sound, so I decided to walk the bike there. Once I walked in, I was greeted pretty promptly and asked how I could be helped. I explained my flat tire situation and they took my bike back and had a tech work on it. The price for repair and a new tube was in the range of what I've paid previously. The tire was replaced within 15 minutes and I was back on the road. Sweet! I'll hope to stop in another time, although without a flat. read more

I'm currently out in Brighton, CO. I initially drove out to Pedal because they had Salsa bikes in stock. It's a drive because it's in Littleton. And I have to say that since I bought my bike, I have come to consider Pedal my LBS. There are quite a few shops in between Brighton and Littleton, but I have absolutely no issue travelling because Pedal is that good. They have tons of stock, and they'll take care of any repair you may need as well (as they did for me today). Their advice has always been extremely solid, and they've never steered me wrong. Anthony is awesome, and he immediately recognizes me and my fiancée as soon as we hit the front door (he even taught me how to shift my bike :-\). They're also right off of the Platte River Trail, so the location is really cool and convenient too. I actually just managed to ride back to Brighton today... read more

I've only been here once to get my road wheels trued ($12 each) and to purchase some cheap tires for my commuter bike ($15 each); but I have no complaints. They seem capable of handling all levels of cycling, from the commuters to the elite. The turnaround time on my wheels was little over a day; and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Finally signed up for a few races this summer so I was on the hunt for a new road bike and gear to up my game. I first went to REI and found the bike I wanted just in a different color. I was ready to pull the trigger but the sales associate actually said "ya know what...Go check out the local bike shop pedal." So I was on my way. I Purchased a Salsa CX bike from Pedal early this year, nearly a month later my bike was stolen from outside of my work. 7 months later I received a call from a pedal employee who had found my bike at a pawn shop nearby. Never been impressed with the customer service here but I recently had a particularly bad experience. Took my mtb in to get the crank tapped so I could put my pedal on (something very straightforward that should take about 2 minutes) and they said they would need my bike for 5 days. I understand they were busy but they were rude and completely unwilling to work with me even though I explained I was in a rush. Ended up driving to c3 in golden (which was also busy as heck) and they fixed it in about a minute while drinking a beer with a smile. Anyways, don't expect fast service here, these guys treat 2 minute fix like a fork rebuild. read more

I had just bought a new 5,000 dollar bike from Pedals and the on-line sales team was great. Once we arrived the place was very disorganized. It felt like I was just a number to them. It all feel apart when we asked to get a minor adjustment for my wife's bike while we were setting up my new Bike purchase. We are from out of town and where desperate for the help. They reluctantly agreed to look at the bike. They wheeled it back then quickly came back and said that the derailer needed to be replaced and that we where out of luck. I completed my purchase with them and checked my receipt, they charged me 20 dollars for this advise that took all of 2 minutes. After we left, we stopped down the street at another bike shop GoodTurn Cycles where Ryan looked at the derailer and simply opened it up sprayed WD40 in the thumb switch. The problem fixed with a 5 minute look at the bike with no charge. This told me that Pedals never looked at the bike, they simply wheeled it back to make it seem like they were helping me. Sure did charge me though. That kinda of service is terrible. It's a shame because the on-line sales team were good. Buyer be wary........ read more

After checking out many different Local Bike Shops in the Metro Area, and having most of them treat me as though I was inconveniencing their day by asking about bikes at a LBS, I stumbled across this one and I knew they will have my business from now on! After the very friendly employees, questioned me about what type of riding I was looking to get into, they set me up with a couple bikes with varying range of type, quality, and prices to allow me to pick and chose based on how they rode. Pedal also seems to have the atmosphere where any type of rider from experienced to beginner will have their questions answered. It also is worth noting that the salesmen are not commission based. When you purchase a bike from them they also give you a month long discount on accessories and free tuneups on that bike. All in all I wanted to give them a glowing review and help to steer customers to this good LBS! read more

Found a great bike for a reasonable price (it was 30% the usual $500 = $346, get there fast!), with great service by Joe and friendly follow up. Another store we visited the same day had $500 as their lowest price for a basic bike with gear. We bought a lock that was not long enough - they were willing to replace it with a different one although we already used it. Haven't got to actually replace it yet - but so far they look great.
