    You have been warned!

This is a fun park that is adjacent to the Premium Outlet Mall but a 5-minute drive to get there. Interesting street design so if you are in the park there is only one exit and it's the way you enter. If you want to take a short cut to the mall, this is NOT the way to go. The park is designed to appeal to all ages with lots of open space and room to play soccer and baseball. There is a skateboard park attached. You can walk all the way around the park and get a good workout. There is ample parking. There seemed to be a great many grounds workers busy making sure the park looked good when we were there.

This park has a lot of room to walk, run, have fun! This park is huge. There are soccer fields, tennis, pickleball, basketball courts, playground, swings, splash pads, skate park, and many benches and trees. This park is becoming my favorite place to walk. There is so much room to walk and play. When the sprinklers are going the grass is cool and refreshing. You can walk and not really run into another person. Lots of personal space and safe distancing. Highly recommend this park. Like all of Arizona bathrooms, benches, etc are closed.

    Nice protective ground cover, Mayor

Mayor Gallego needs to stop treating Phoenix like a run down rust belt metropolis and take some big cues from the City of Chandler. This park used to be an absolute gem in the southeast valley. Awesome playground, splash pad, plenty of Ramada space, dog parks, huge expanses of open grass, tennis courts, skate park, pool, etc. I've been taking kids here from the time it opened until present day. To say this park is run down is not telling the story. It's turned to absolute junk, and in many respects it's not safe for kids to play on. The protective ground cover on the playground area is torn up down to the ground almost. God forbid anyone falls on these areas. The equipment itself is broken in areas. The sprinklers on the splash pad are cracked and broken throughout, so jets of water stream at full force straight into the air. Benches for parents have been yanked out recently, nothing replaces them, just bare cement where they used to be. One of the swings is cracked, definite pinch hazard. Weeds and trash everywhere. I don't know where the tax money goes for the parks, but it sure it's going towards upkeep and maintenance. What a dump.

Great park... lots of parking, play area is large, with a smaller play area for younger kids, also ball fields, skate board park, pool (sign says open from June - Sept). Beautiful view of the mountain range and sunset in the early evening.

    Clean, safe play equipment

As of 1.20.25 they are doing construction on the kids playground. The skate park, tennis courts and other areas are open to public.

I'd give the cleanliness and overall park quality a 10/10. There's something for all ages, and it's easy to spend a whole afternoon there. The train is definitely cute and fun for kids, but it's a bit overpriced at $5 per ticket, even for a one-year-old. Unfortunately, our experience with the train staff really took away from it. The woman taking tickets was extremely rude and didn't speak to us at all -- no hello, no eye contact, no thank you, nothing. It honestly felt like she didn't want to be there or interact with families. I was trying to make it a fun moment for my child by having them hand over the ticket, but they actually got scared and hid behind me. The woman selling the tickets, on the other hand, was very kind and welcoming. The park itself can also get very crowded, and we noticed older kids sometimes take over the younger kids' play areas, which can make it hard for little ones when there's roughhousing or inappropriate language. That's not really the park's fault, but it's something to be aware of if you have small children. Overall, it's definitely worth visiting at least once because it's a beautiful space with tons to do. I personally prefer smaller neighborhood parks for a calmer experience, but Anthem Community Park is great in terms of facilities. The biggest areas for improvement would be crowd management in the play areas and better, more family-friendly staffing for the train.

The ducks in the water are refreshing to watch and one can walk the park and enjoy the serenity and peace. It's a nice spot for a picnic and other kids sports events. There is also a train ride for kids that costs $5 I believe.
