Really nice park for a morning jog or to walk the dog! I came here in early April 2023 for a place to go running outdoors. Granada Park is only a few minutes drive from the Biltmore section of Phoenix. As you approach the park (which is close to the Arizona Canal), dedicated spaces for parking are limited but street parking around the back side is plentiful. The park has a kid-friendly playground and a man-made pond with desert flowers and a pretty view of the North Phoenix mountain. If you're looking for a place to jog in the morning, I would recommend the short drive here! For a longer jog, you can follow the trail along the Arizona Canal. read more

Great place to spend afternoon with kiddos! 2 ponds you can throw out a pole for some fishing, ducks to feed, lots of green grass with shade trees and playground! Restrooms are clean and not scary like some parks. Always see 4 legged kiddos walking their owners, and occasionally a trainer giving a class. My favorite park in the city! My granddaughter and I have visited this place to eat lunch a couple of times. That means it was so nice the first time that we went a second time. Now it's too hot, but we will go back for lunch when Phoenix cool's down. It feels like a safe place and the people there were friendly. Kids played and it was fun. Very much wishing I had read the previous review on here about local's harassment if driving something resembling a camper, but I didn't think I had to read reviews for visiting a park to enjoy myself on a sunny day! I drive a camper van and upon arriving a man started recording my van and I, circling around me yelling "we don't want you here" among other things. After I said I was just using the park he said "yeah, well we'll see after 10pm," then proceeded to threaten me. He has my face and my van on his phone, and as a young woman (23) on my own here, I do not feel safe. Another man stopped in his car as I was pulling out of my parking spot to leave the park and stuck his head out the window and literally barred his teeth at me like a dog. I've never seen a face like that from anyone it was pure violence and hatred. I feel incredibly upset and angry after all that, and saddened that people are so bold with their hate. The park was beautiful but could not at all enjoy due to the contamination of such outward violence from locals. The people there cannot allow others to simply live their respectful lives in peace- so please if you drive anything that resembles a camper van or unfortunately (most likely) resemble somebody who may be disadvantaged in any form, I would stay away from this place for your own safety. They treated me (as I'm sure many others) like I was not even human, but shit on their shoes. So saddened that the world is this way, and sending compassion to those nasty, hurting men. I wish them healing, and safety for all, so I would recommend staying away from this place if you don't want to get harassed or potentially attacked. God forbid I was there past 10pm... I can only wonder what they would have done :( read more

This is a beautiful park tucked away in a residential area near the 51 and Lincoln/Glendale. You can fish, play in the large grassy area or just enjoy the ducks and views of the Phoenix Mountains with a picnic lunch. The park is very busy and the parking lot can fill up but there is ample parking in the street. read more

Found not far from the Phoenix Mountains Preserve, this park is a great recreational resource for people who want a quiet walk of jog or just a restful morning or afternoon sitting by the pond to do some waterfowl watching while admiring the view of Piestewa Peak. The park's parking lot is not very big, but street parking is available in the surrounding residential streets. Bathroom facilities are available, and the grassy areas are great for strolling, picnics, or playing frisbee. I love this park! It's a great place for walking, workouts and scenic views. There is a small parking lot in back but we usually park on the street and use one of the trails to get to the waking paths. They have restroom facilities as well as several picnic tables and benches strewn throughout the park. There is also a small playground. The paths are mostly shaded, depending on the time of day. Dogs are welcome but they need to stay leashed. Make sure to clean up after your pups! And make sure to bring enough water for you and your dog- especially during the hot summer months. The thing that really makes this park unique is the ponds/pools/whatever they are called! Ducks, geese and even turtles love the area! read more

GP is a nice green oasis on Maryland Ave. It's a little hard to find but worth a walk. There's some nice tennis courts, shady areas and duck ponds. Safety is above average since there's a large City of Phoenix police station across the street. Recommended. read more

This park is one of my dogs absolute favorites! The loop is super easy to walk and it's never too crowded. Doing the full loop from start to finish 3 times is equivalent to approximately 1 mile. For the most part, the area is usually free of litter and has a ton of green grass to enjoy. At night, all the rabbits like to hang out on the grass. There are 2 large ponds with many ducks swimming in it and a small playground as well that is located further into the park where lots of parents like to bring their children. They only have one restroom facility, located in front of the parking lot, that is usually always open to the public. My one concern is that many people walk their dogs unleashed despite park safety regulations advocating against doing so. I've had at least two dogs run toward and actually attack my poor old lady dog, which really traumatized us both. Please be more responsible for your pets! Also keep into consideration that just because you claim your pet is friendly doesn't mean that mine is too. read more

This park is nestled away in a residential area close to the 51 fwy which made me weary at first as I didn't know how safe it would be. I was pleasantly surprised to see how big and open the park is! There's a pond with ducks, open space to run and play as well as a playground. Granada Park has it all! My first encounter with the park was a couple months back when we celebrated our soccer teammates birthday...we did a beer mile aka ran a lap around the pond then chugged a beer this lasted for 4 laps until Jay yaked! We followed up the beer run with small goal soccer and enjoying the sunset. Next venture was with my daughter and her bike...we were in luck as there are plenty of hills to help her coast into riding her bike without training wheels! Now we head to the park with the dogs, our bikes and lunches packed because an hour at the park just won't suffice! Few Points: -Parking is limited within the designated parking lot next to the restrooms and pond. However there is street parking. -There are bathrooms. We've never used them though. Good luck? -The pond is shallow. I know because we had to retrieve a soccer ball. See photo. -You can fish the pond. Probably should eat what you catch though...? -Weekend mornings are slammed with kids and families running around the playground. read more

There's nothing like having an afternoon picnic under a shady tree by a lake. Granada Park is a nice place to have a family meet up, evening walk or a water gun fight with the kids. It lacks a good amount of tables/benches, maybe on purpose but this park is pretty popular with the neighborhood it's located in. Parking can be a bit tricky to find as it has a small parking lot. There are garbage and recycling cans around the park and it was pretty clean and tidy. Tons of ducks and pigeons to feed...or in our case, dogs off leashes that ran to our area and almost snatched my best friend's lunch. read more

How have we not been here before?! This is the closest park to our newish home and we've been going to our old park this entire year, only to find out that this one is closer and much cooler! It has 2 lakes with loads of ducks, awesome play features, loads of grassy areas to run and picnic, nice bathrooms, and it's safe to say that my 2 yr old and sheepdog were happy campers! I see many many more park days in our future here, especially with another boy on the way! They had picnic tables scattered throughout with gorgeous mountain views. It's seriously one of the coolest parks that I've been to in the Valley! We're thrilled that we found it and that it's only 7 mins from our house. See you again soon, Granada Park! read more

I lived half my life in Phoenix and when I was a kid my parents always took me regularly to feed the ducks. This last time I went (Aug 2011) while visiting family, so my dad, daughter, and I made our traditional visit to this park. I love this park and always will. Its clean, pretty, and how can you forget the DUCKS! There are so many ducks, and if you bring a loaf (or two) of bread it is so fun and easy to feed them. Some are more friendly and eat right from your hand, or lips! (see my photos from here!) If you're looking for a fun, basically free, thing to do in the area, this is a must do. A casual date, friends, family outing, it does the trick. read more

It boasts large open fields, a lake filled with fish and ducks and a great playground. The bonus is it has amazing views in every direction. My spunky toddler enjoyed waking though the desert landscape before arriving to the playground and I love how the restrooms are close to the playground. 5 stars are not given to this park because the playground is pretty close to the lake and that scares the out of me! read more

What can I say? This place is beautiful! The views here are absolutely breathtaking anywhere you look. It's kind of hidden, so on your first visit, I would suggest using GPS. The parking is pretty good, we have never had to park outside of the park. When you walk in, there are usually a ton of birds and ducks to look at. There is a very large pond with a walking path around it, so that is really nice. We usually bring our dog and daughter, and one of us takes our daughter over to the playground area, and the other exercises the dog. We always have a nice time, and there is usually a nice crowd. They have bathrooms that are nice near the entrance. read more

When Brophy/Xavier MILFs aren't hustling me on the tennis courts at Granada Park, I cry myself to sleep, dream of better tennis skillz and wax nostalgic about the beauty of the rest of the park here. Mike and I present a formidable tennis duo to the typical tennis novice, but we lack the shrill catty barbs and mesmerizing tennis skirt swoosh of the Xavier Mom. Even dog walkersby can't help but notice the competitiveness of the courts here. Re: the rest of the park? I'm with David on the unique and hidden appeal of Granada Park. It's large enough to have your own peace and quiet and given its slight slope at the base of Lincoln Drive, southwest of Piestewa Peak, the setting offers a hilly landscape, ducks quacking in the ponds and views of the Central Phoenix skyline. Quiet picnics are definitely in order here over other parks in the area. Check it out. read more

It is a clean and nice park with a pond with ducks, play area for kids, benches for lovey dovey couples to sit and watch the waters, etc. Parking here is a little hard, but it is a good thing that is streets are extra wide so you can park on the sides of the street. read more

Not a bad park at all. The canal path is great to run along and is usually pretty open during the early mornings on weekends. As it gets nice out, it can be filled with bikers, runners and walkers alike.
