Anthem Community Park is honestly a beautiful, well-maintained park. The ambience is great, it's clean, and there's a huge variety of equipment and sports areas. I'd give the cleanliness and overall park quality a 10/10. There's something for all ages, and it's easy to spend a whole afternoon there. The train is definitely cute and fun for kids, but it's a bit overpriced at $5 per ticket, even for a one-year-old. Unfortunately, our experience with the train staff really took away from it. The woman taking tickets was extremely rude and didn't speak to us at all -- no hello, no eye contact, no thank you, nothing. It honestly felt like she didn't want to be there or interact with families. I was trying to make it a fun moment for my child by having them hand over the ticket, but they actually got scared and hid behind me. The woman selling the tickets, on the other hand, was very kind and welcoming. The park itself can also get very crowded, and we noticed older kids sometimes take over the younger kids' play areas, which can make it hard for little ones when there's roughhousing or inappropriate language. That's not really the park's fault, but it's something to be aware of if you have small children. Overall, it's definitely worth visiting at least once because it's a beautiful space with tons to do. I personally prefer smaller neighborhood parks for a calmer experience, but Anthem Community Park is great in terms of facilities. The biggest areas for improvement would be crowd management in the play areas and better, more family-friendly staffing for the train. read more

Anthem Park is a beautiful and clean well maintained park. It's quite amazing to see how much they have there for everyone of all ages. The ducks in the water are refreshing to watch and one can walk the park and enjoy the serenity and peace. It's a nice spot for a picnic and other kids sports events. Was in the area today and had seen an insta post about this park so we visited it! It is so nice. They have nice ponds, a little veterans memorial, huge playground, and a cool little splash pad! We've had some bad experiences with wasp infested splash pads lately but this one was not bad at all, I think I saw one flying around. Definitely a good amount of shading here, making it nice for the summer. My son had a lot of fun and this park was super clean and not overly crowded. My wife Blanca and I love our community park here in Anthem! Everything green, a few bodies of water with waterfalls and ducks, a nice bridge near one waterfall, plenty of sports facilities like basketball, soccer, baseball, football, or whatever else you want to play for the most part. Plenty of empty space too just to relax and take a load off. It also has two playgrounds. One exclusive for small children like toddlers which is nice. Another for bigger small kids with plenty to climb on and investigate, complete with a nice splash pad. They often have free concerts and other activities going on. Also, a train that runs through part of the park. A tunnel the train goes through is always decked out for the Season like Halloween and Christmas. It's slow but fun and perfect for younger kids and families. Come check it out sometime! They'll have a Autumnfest Arts and Crafts Fair on October 26th & 27th this year. read more

Great Park!! Checked in with our God Son and God Daughter today at the park. Our God Son is playing Club Soccer for Yavapai County and we met up with them and their Mom. Soccer game was great! He played awesome! The park is so beautiful and great facilities. Ball fields, soccer fields, Water park and lake. This is a great local park to visit when you've got kids in tow; there's lots for them to see and do. Tip: There's a Farmer's Market that's held here on Sundays; you might want to plan you visits accordingly. Activities available here include a good number of play areas, and even a splash pad!  There's also a miniature train that runs on the weekends. Amazing park! Great for all activities. It's very large play structure for kids and adults. Roller hockey arena, skate park, memorial, and much more. There is a train that runs on certain days, so check the website beforehand to plan your visit. There were a couple people fishing the ponds but fairly empty for the most part. Good selection of local eateries nearby, to grab takeout and enjoy in the park. I would not recommend walking to get food, as the road is 4 lanes and very busy. The veterans memorial is a beautiful and reflective place. It is set away from the play areas, surrounded by grassy lawn for lounging. Really a beautiful spot. Our visit was for some family activity. Absolutely Beautiful park! Very clean. Kids rode the train! There is a three story playground. There is a small splash pad and a toddler play ground. Several mini lakes, fishing spots, waterfalls and areas to play sports!! Encountered some nasty mouthed mother's cussing us out over our kids and her kids calling each other names (retard) she made sure to make it a point to come drop F bombs in front of the rest of our kids and harassing us about it. This park is awesome. My bf's family lives right around the corner to this park and we took the kids here on our last visit. Here's some of the awesome features they have. 1. First off, this park is huge. With all the amenities the park has, no wonder it's pretty huge. Lots of room to run around. 2. There is a train that you can ride that goes all around the park. It's only a few dollars to get on. 3. Skate park. 4. Play ground with a jungle gym. 5. There is also a play ground for kiddies ages 2-5. Everything is miniature size. So cute. 6. There is a pond with a water fall and ducks to feed. You can also go fishing but you have to release the fish afterwards. 7. There is a farmers market every Sunday at 9am. 8. Whenever there is a holiday, there is a little event going on to celebrate that holiday. 9. The restrooms are clean! 10. Lots of parking. Wish we had a park like this back home. Love coming here early in the morning before the big kids run over the little kids. Went on the train today and noticed in the tunnel where the train is stored and drives through, that there are 2 cans of fuel and no fire extinguishers. I would say it's an oversight, but the last 4 weeks that we have come here, it's been the same. Science says this is a recipe for combustion. Warning: This review is only regarding the skatepark within this place. TL;DR - Good skatepark with 90 percent assholes, until they started making you register to enter. This is the best damn skatepark I have been to in Arizona, especially since it has been renovated with two new portions added. The first/original skate area is the second largest of the three, and has some great ramps/rails and a deep bowl. The second area/the first new addition, is this small little place with 6-or-so bumps, and a couple tall areas to drop down on each end. Very fun to go around on your board. Definitely the least populated of the three. The third area is the biggest of the three. It used to be a roller skating rink sort-of thing, but they took it mostly down, and constructed a bunch of cool ramps, rails, and drop-ins within it. Second most populated out of the three, and probably the second most fun too. Now, heres where we get to why this is a three star park, and not five. Simply, as of 5/28/2022, they now make non-residents of Anthem register for entry into the skatepark, and I am not one to register to get into a skatepark. Sadly, I and many of my other skating friends will no longer be going here. Recently, i've been trying to teach my bf how to skate, and he didn't bring his board one day, so they ended up kicking him out of the park because he didn't have one. So apparently one of the unspoken rules is that you need to have something to ride in order to even enter, even if you're just trying to teach someone. Also, one other note, before the payment system was implemented, half the people that go to skate there are real assholes, and get judgy whenever you do something that they don't like/enjoy. read more

This is probably the best park I have ever been to. In general, I don't know if the city of Phoenix has more resources for maintenance or the residents of the area simply care more about the environment but the park (as well as the area in general) was exceptionally clean and free of garbage. Not only do they have a massive playground with some great features, but they have a train, ponds for fishing, a few trails and various other areas for misc. sporting activities. If looking to kill some time with the kiddos and burn of some energy, this is a great spot. read more

When we first moved to AZ, we came to this park to try and ride the Daisy Mountain Railroad. Unfortunately, it was closed. For whatever reason, we never made it back...until today. It was my son Bill's 4th Birthday (as well as my mother in law, too!) today and we decided to drive up and take a train ride. First off, this park is HUGE and really nicely maintained (clean, green grass, nice facilities etc). You could definitely spend a few hours here. Our main purpose was to take a ride on the train, so we did that first. The Daisy Mountain Railroad is a locomotive train that takes you around the park. Cost is $4.00 per person ($3.50 if you are an Anthem resident), and every person above the age of 1 needs a ticket. They also charge a $1.00 fee for paying with a credit card. Kind of lame, but whatever. We bought our tickets and got in line (train leaves every 30 minutes). We grabbed a seat and took the ride around the park. Being a former train driver myself (Santa Barbara Zoo, circa 2000), I appreciated the locomotive and the nice ride around the park. It is just a good old fashioned train ride....no speech or fun facts or anything like that. Goes along at a slow pace, pretty flat for the most part, and does have one tunnel that it goes through. The train ride IS nice and long though. At least a good 10-12 minutes or so. Well worth the $4.00 (They sell discount tickets if you buy in bulk, too!) Highly recommended! After the train, we decided to hang out at one of the kids playgrounds. They have a ton of stuff to play on both for big kids and little ones. I have never seen such big slides at an outdoor playground before. It was good times except for one incident................... There were some sketchy, aloof parents around. Example: There is a clear sign that states no bicycles, scooters etc past a certain point. Well, there was this one little kid with his "dad/adult guardian"? who was racing around on his bike in the prohibited area, and when he would approach you, he would yell either, "Move" or "Get out of the way". No "Excuse me" or "Coming Through". Luckily he only went by us once. If he would have came by a second time and yelled at me while HE was breaking the "rules", I would have hip checked that little fucker into the ground. No manners, no common courtesy, just a little shithead disobeying rules. His adult he was with looked like a douchebag, too. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, right? Anyways.........that's the only negative thing I had to say about the day. Will we be back? Yes! It is a bit of a drive from our house in Surprise, but worth it. If you came during midweek, you would probably have a better time with less crowds. (Not sure if the train only runs on weekends?) It is a very, very nice park and we had a great time! read more

I LOVE the train ride available at the park. It is inexpensive and it lasts about ten minutes. That's long for any ride if you ask me! Both my babies love it. The train takes you through the park so you really get a feel of the landscape. You weave through the various ponds filled with ducks. I've seen people bring their own bags of bread to feed them. It takes you around the large playground which also has a splash pad for the summer months. You even get to go in a tunnel for that extra wow factor! During Christmas the tunnel is filled with Christmas Trees and decorations galore! If you time your visit right, you will be able to checkout the Anthem street market, complete with local favorites and CBD coffee! No matter how many people are in the park, it never seems to feel crowded. read more

People that don't live in Anthem need to understand this is not a park for the general public. It is maintained by those of us who live in Anthem and pay dues to maintain it. There is signage indicating such but most people don't pay attention to it. This should not even be listed as a public place on yelp because it's not meant for the general public. You can ride the train if you don't live in Anthem though. read more

Anthem is a beautiful community and the park being just one part of it but we use this park all the time we love it wish there was more seating for parents in the actual park and the splash pad was a little more updated at the big park but we love it we love to fish and love the train I think there is some opportunity to decorate the inside of the train tunnel I know they do it for Christmas but you could do it really cool for Halloween and pretty much any season anthem hoas are expensive so it would be nice but we have lived here for years and love it read more

If you live in Anthem there is no doubt that you have visited this fabulous park located in the heart of the Anthem Community. Great playground with two different areas to play. One for tiny tots and one for older kids. A nice sand box where they can dig up dinosaur bones is a plus. A lake to catch and release fish, lots of ducks to feed, picnic tables, nice trails to ride your bike or run. A cute little train to ride (for a nominal fee). The park extends out to include some baseball fields, a skateboard park, and a soccer field. Gorgeous grounds with lots of trees and grass. We spent many weekends here and it was nice to visit the last time we were in town. Kids love it. read more

This place is huge and so much fun for all ages. I love that the park is pretty well enclosed by a fence since I have 3 little ones to chase. The major play place is 3 stories high with huge slides that are state of the art. It appears safe too since the top is completely enclosed by bats so no area to just fall off. They recently redid the park area and it was well worth the wait! Now they have almost all the areas shaded (major plus!!) There are 2 areas that have sand with "fossils" to dig up. Smaller child play area too. My kids absolutely love this place and it give me time to do some studying or work. Be sure to bring cash to ride the train! $3.50 per person or a book of 14 for $28. Talk about a hidden gem in the desert. Anthem is such a cute and family centered community. My husband works in Anthem so I get to spend quite a bit of time venturing around the area. There are so many great things to check out at Anthem Community Park. My favorite as well as my kids has to be the train ride. Yes it's small, but such a fun experience for the kids. It travels around the park and even had a caboose to ride in. There is a few, but you can buy multiple tickets and use them whenever you'd like not just that day. The playground is huge and one of the safest I've seen. Some areas go quite high off the ground , but have railings to protect the kids from falling. There's a beautiful small lake with ducks and skate park, picnic areas, and plenty of walking space if you love to exercise and walk your dog. Plenty of restaurants around that you could spend an entire day here when the weather is nice. read more
