Lots of Cuckoo clocks all shapes colors patterns and musical boxes, musical TV, musical holiday frames snow globes and lanterns. You just have to visit it to get the full experience.

According to their website, Pebble People is a family-run business in Solvang for 43 years, specializing in handcrafted clocks, jewelry, music boxes, etc. There are a couple hand sanitizers around the store. We walked in because we saw the Disney items from the front door and had to stop and look. There's a ton of stuff to look at. Because the store was so big we split up and took our own page at looking at things. I saw some jewelry I really liked but couldn't bring myself to buy it. None of the staff stopped to check how I was doing or if I had any questions. If they did I would've asked what one of the necklaces I liked was made out of. There's also a small section with dragons. I like dragons so I spent the most amount of time debating about that necklace and staring at the dragons, deciding if any of what they were selling would go with what dragons I already had at home. It's such a large store, and everything is full so you could easily spend a good amount of time looking around.

This was my first visit to Solvang, and Pebble People; utterly delighted with both. My sister visited Solvang as a child; the inly thing she remembered was Pebble People, so of course, it was our first stop. Having lived through the Pet Rock craze, the little Pebble People offerings were so relatable (purchased two) and portable. One might argue that anybody could get smooth pebbles and make little sculptures, but for a certainty I could not. The shop offers many beautiful items of varying prices including watches, silver and semi-precious jewelry, clocks and snow globes among other items (not an exhaustive list, sorry). The staff were all very friendly but neither overbearing nor intrusive (and even remembered who I was when I returned to claim my mobile phone - oops!). We'll be making a return trip to visit Pebble People!

Always wanted a cuckoo clock from a recent European business trip few years ago and never managed to fit one in my luggage. Imagine my surprise when finding this quaint shop after weekend brunch! Lots of options such as wind up and battery operated, and in all sizes, some with popping birds, some without. I settled for this battery operated small one with a dog and rotating "dancers". The two older ladies who were working in the shop answered my questions and didn't really pressure too much. One stayed fairly nearby to answer questions. The clocks are supposedly made in Germany and they include a 1 year warranty. You get the one on the wall, because at least you know it's working - so check for any aesthetic defects before they box it up! This is particularly important if you don't live nearby and the receipt has a "no refund" policy and strict exchange policy within 14 days if something is wrong.

Awesome store for a unique gift. They even have Disney items.

From disney to dragons and even steins from Germany! This is a legendary must stop by spot in Solvang. I bought my girlfriend some copper dream catcher earrings and a porcelain Stitch. The staff were as friendly as any close family member could have been. They also wore masks and had hand sanitizer available.

Cute little store. Lots of things to look at. Staff was a bit standoffish so we "window shopped" for 20 mins and left.

Just know that this place is often very full of inventory and crowds so it can get tough to walk around & shop. It won't be a casual shopping experience. Especially on weekends and summers. I came here mainly because I heard it was a great place to get old Lego minifigure bags. However, I was not expecting some of the older ones to go for up to $30 a bag! That's highway robbery. You can find opened ones online for a fraction of that price and when you do that, there's no need to guess if you are getting the one you want (or be surprised at all by what you're paying for). If you're looking for bags to keep sealed, this is a great option for you, but for someone like me who was just looking to get one or two to complete a series, this just wasn't priced right enough for me to pull the trigger. I did, however, purchase a single mini figure that's exclusive to a Danish store chain. Was it overpriced? Yeah. But not too high that I didn't feel like treating myself. Staff is very friendly and I saw them happily helping customers all throughout the shop. Customer service is great here. So rest assured if you have questions about inventory or if you want to try on something, there will be someone here to help you out quickly.

There was a lady behind the counter but she avoided greeting me. I know this is a tourist town because the pricing was high. I do understand the mark up is needed to sustain the running of this business, etc. I will wait to return to Old Town Temecula where they sell the exact same items for much lower. This is one of the stores we stopped in during our wanderings. It's beautifully displayed, with many different feature areas. From unique kitchen gadgets and accessories, to home accents of many different types, there's much to see and consider here. Full retail is in effect, and some of the items seem very pricey, which is the reason for a one star reduction. Still, I found it very enjoyable to browse their selections, enjoying the stylish displays. I did find several items to take home, plus picked up a couple small gifts. I particularly love a silicone spatula I bought here, which has an ergonomic design that makes it comfortable to use. I don't know how they'll manage reopening / whether they offer buy online and pickup with minimal contact. I hope that they'll be able to survive the Coronavirus situation!

Happiness set in as soon as I walked through the door. Clean, organized, bright and more importantly -- no old, dirty smell! The first item that caught my eye was a handmade mug. It reminded me of when my grandson was learning the alphabet as he would excitedly shout "N is for Narwhal!" Needless to say, I couldn't put it back down. We browsed every corner and found so many lovely items, including a beautiful vintage vanity (on my wish list). Prices were surprisingly reasonable, which made it really difficult not to buy more. As we were ready to check out with my mug, the husband pointed out a tiny silver scoop in a locked case. He could tell on my face that I wanted to add it to my collection, so he called someone to open the case -- he's such an enabler. :) The staff are easy to find, incredibly friendly and helpful. While in Solvang, we found this really cool vintage thrift shop and walked around a bit. The inside had so many items to look at, but still felt very organized and didn't leave me feeling overwhelmed. They had everything - old records, comics, purses, fur coats, glassware -- even backstage passes from different concerts which I thought was pretty cool. I am always on the hunt for Uranium glass and A Piece of the Past had a few items. One being an ashtray and another being a set of glasses that I am still kicking myself for not just buying. Service was very friendly throughout the store and I also thought that most of the items were fairly priced - it didn't feel like they were trying to gouge anyone. Check them out!
