You can also buy Addidas - by Stella McCarthy - her designer range for running, winter wear and gym wear. Prices are reasonable. The clothes are fashionable as well as functional, which isn't always achievable in my book. The reason is probably because they work with gym and yoga instructors, who act as their brand ambassadors and who 'test drive' their clothes. This shop is clean and colourful and staff are friendly and on hand to help with sizes. And even if you don't end up using the clothes for exercise......at least you will feel 'fit' wearing them!

Their clothes are comfy and really fashionable, they have in mind every shape and size of woman. Most of their collections come in regular, long or short length, and they have in a stock a jersey trouser than you can trim to your desired length with scissors and it will never ever fray. The Alex roll-down pant (£39) have snuggle fit and are ideal for yoga, traveling or relaxed weekends. Finally, what really makes this brand unique and more than just clothes, is their offering of running clubs. Basically, a group of women meet at the shop at a specified time (6:30pm on tuesday) and have a qualified trainer leading them in a warm up and then a brisk walk or run. You can join for FREE all you need is the motivation to be there, and a good pair of trainers. I am joining the club, and after 10 times I can have hal price on pair of trainers. (Ace!)

At the end of the ski season, my sister and I hit Blacks, looking for ski gear. We're not slaves to the latest styles and are quite happy to be a season out of date fashion-wise. Otherwise, I find it so hard to pay such a huge amount of money for things like a ski jacket, which I'll only wear for one week or at most 2 weeks a year. There is also lots of stuff for walking, hikers, climbers and campers.

Oh boy, was I wrong!!! Worst experience ever.... Thought while I'm there I will not only get the shoes, but the rest of the ballet uniform too. However, after realising the uniform is at least double the price in the shop, rather than online, I decided to not buy it and only get the shoes. The man working there, I believe he was the owner, started mocking me, imitating the facial expression I made when I heard the price, picking up the stuff and saying I did not have to buy anything at all, even though I said I will only buy the shoes. His behaviour and attitude towards me as his customer seriously disturbed me and I shall never be returning to this shop again.

What can I say- the dude who helped me was very helpful, sympathetic to a fault (actually everyone but me think I had a very serious accident) and made some great suggestions on how to fall off next time. He also spent about 20 minutes helping me get a pair of gloves and fit a helmet. not easy considering both hands were wrapped in miles of bandages... Lovely little shop. Rate it second after the lovely local family owned place. You know what a soft spot I have for those...

What a rubbish service!…read more Came for an annual 'free' service I had booked well over a month in advance. Received a confirmation email twice, including a reminder the day before. Came to the shop on the day (a Saturday morning), just to be told that they don't have a mechanic, they don't why they booked me in and I can leave my bike for Monday. With their ridiculously minimal opening times it would mean I would have had to part from my bike for a week, thank you very much. That free service has a cost: a total waste of time! Will never cycle back there again...
