If you like you cycle shops snooty, full of carbon, and staffed by people who would rather cut off their little toe than sell you a £200 hybrid then Sidcup Cycles is not for you. Personally I think it is a great little shop, but then I do cycle round in ripped shorts and 3 year old trainers - on a bike that only gets washed by the rain.
Their target market is firmly families and leisure cyclists, which is not surprising given the local area, but they do stock some serious kit too. I've used them in the past for quite a few repairs, and they have always been helpful, cheap, and fast.
UPDATE*****
Thought I'd update my review to let people know that Sidcup Cycles has a Saturday morning ride starting at 8.30 split into different levels of ability (something to suit everyone). I went out with them and they are fantastically friendly, even to the point that one of the guys came back for me when I got lost. I'd highly recommend both the shop and the ride - i'll be back ! read more
