In the two inner rooms they both sell new and used bikes and also make and mend others. Many of the bikes in the shop are their own brand and they are mighty fine bikes - in an old school upright way you'd especially like if you were Dutch and totally unafraid at the thought of having no acceleration power to get away from bendy buses. Because of the craftsmanship many of the bikes are obviously quite expensive but you can easily pick up a second hand one you wouldn't know wasn't new for around 100 quid. They also do a good range of kid's bikes here so check those out too.

Do not despair however: Global Esprit have the smarts, the bikes, the gear and a fantastic store design and will not disappoint. Monthly specials can be found in the store and especially in the front window, or if you own a bike already repairs can be done in a workshop at the back of the store. There is a really good range of bikes available at Global Esprit: the cheaper options round off at around £100 and the most expensive climb towards £4000. There are a lot of kids' bikes as well, so this is definitely one for the family or just the casual rider. The high quality of this establishment promises that that many a rider has flitted off into the sunset after a visit. Now, if only there actually was such a thing as a sunset in grey, old London.

Like decent Kevlar tyres. A respectable range of Brooks saddles. More Abus products than you'd imagine in one place. Very well stocked indeed. they also do the bike to work scheme, if you are as scarred by Evans as I am. Oh, and there's stuff for your kids if you want to get them hooked too. It's more of a shop for people who ride Pashleys or off road, but they know what to do with fixed gear and single speed lovers too. No, and I don't mean slapping them.

Be prepared for a bit of cockney banter and you can even haggle down the price on occasions. This is nothing like shopping at Evans Bike Superstore, but so much more of a personal and interesting experience.

The prices are comparable to other stores as far as I can see. They also sometimes throw in brake pads for free if it was a large transaction such as a big service and parts.
