Do not despair however: Global Esprit have the smarts, the bikes, the gear and a fantastic store design and will not disappoint. Monthly specials can be found in the store and especially in the front window, or if you own a bike already repairs can be done in a workshop at the back of the store. There is a really good range of bikes available at Global Esprit: the cheaper options round off at around £100 and the most expensive climb towards £4000. There are a lot of kids' bikes as well, so this is definitely one for the family or just the casual rider. The high quality of this establishment promises that that many a rider has flitted off into the sunset after a visit. Now, if only there actually was such a thing as a sunset in grey, old London.

Very honest, and much appreciated as a woman who is often bamboozled by unnecessary bike jargon. They even tried to help me with parts for the new bike! I've returned several times, and Mark has offered me on-the-spot advice and quick fixes. I have now bought an expensive road bike and have absolutely no hesitation in taking it to Stratton Cycle. This is the first time I can say that after trying MANY bike shops in the area. The store front is very unassuming, but the service offered is second to none - I'd highly recommend for low to high end bikes!

As well as having a huge range of mountain, racing and all kinds of bikes, they are immensely knowledgeable and good at repair jobs. Be prepared for a bit of cockney banter and you can even haggle down the price on occasions. This is nothing like shopping at Evans Bike Superstore, but so much more of a personal and interesting experience.
