Nice addition to Columbia Tusculum. The space is beautiful and the outdoor patio is an oasis. Looking forward to seeing the outdoor fireplace, complete with TV over it, in action this fall. Well done, Pearls! read more

Pearl's is a standard place to go grab a drink. The place is cute and the patio is great, but beyond that it didn't offer anything incredibly unique or special. The service at the bar was good and friendly (on a relatively slow week night), but it didn't appear like they had a cocktail menu or specials, so I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for anything more than a beer or traditional well drink. One thing I did really like was the TV's set up on the patio. Overall, the place is nice and has the feel of a new place that could be a dive bar in a few years. read more

What a great neighborhood bar. One of Cincinnati's best old fashions as well. Not overly sweet. Never had bad service. Outdoor fire and tv are a nice touch. read more

Pearl's - Venues & Event Spaces Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Love everything about this bar. From the drinks, to the patio, to being able to order Taglio pizza without leaving your seat! I may be a little biased, but it's definitely a hot spot! read more

I love this little place! Really good signature cocktails and cozy candlelit atmosphere.

Love the space here! Cute upstairs area you can reserve for a small to mid size gathering. We come fairly often for happy hour. Love the vibe and drink choices! Check it out! read more

We have friends who like to meet up at Tostados. I'm a big fan of their food but not so much the bar so I wanted a place near by that was relaxed and comfortable and Pearl's is it! I love this place! First, the parking is ridiculously convenient. They have a HUGE lot they share with other local businesses and you will never have to park more than a 30 second walk from the bar. I love that, especially in this part of town. At the square if you don't get lucky you're talking a quarter mile or more hike but this place is right next to where you parked. Next, the look. The outside is clad in distressed clapboard siding. This building looks every second of a hundred years old and then some but as soon as you walk inside it's all new. They re purposed old wood but the look and feel is that of a place that just got finished having a major rehab. I love the look of wood and how it adds warmth to a room when it's used right. They did it right here. The back patio is so cool! There's an open fireplace to keep the chill away on cool evenings and you don't have to give up watching the game to go outside as there's a large screen at your disposal. The disparity of the outside and inside just looks and feels nice. The bar feels like it's been here forever but at the same time you have a great polish to the place. The overall effect is warm and inviting! They have a rock solid selection of wines and beers with a great nod to the fantastic local brew scene we have here now. I always drink beer when I'm at a bar but we did try a couple of the signature cocktails. My girlfriend got the East Sider which is well balanced and I honestly didn't expect that. The description made me worried we might be getting a sickly sweet blend of juices with a touch of booze but this is a legitimate drink! When I order a cocktail I don't want sugar water to chug I want booze to sip and this little gem delivered. I got their take on a Rye Manhattan. When I drink good whiskey it's usually up, with just a couple cubes or if I'm feel like a party I get a Manhattan. This take on the classic is the best I've ever had and I've had quite a few! If you find yourself, as I sometimes do, tired of the fruity sweet whiskeys out there today and just want a drink with the honest to goodness taste of whiskey get one of these. It'll turn a cloudy day into blue skies. read more

Pearl's is a staple. With a great selection of drinks, a warm staff, and (with heaters and a fireplace) a warmer back-patio, Pearl's draws in guests from all over Cincinnati. It's no wonder why this renovated home draws in so many regulars. This place serves as "Cheers" for young professionals, neighborhood personalities, and of course a few out-of-towners. There's something to be said about a business that treats you like an old friend... especially with an awesome happy hour and a couple flatscreens. A great bar for a first date, a night out with the boys, or just to meet new friends. read more

They've almost got it. It's definitely an interesting space. It's around a bunch of strip mall type buildings and even pulling up from the outside it looks a little out of place, in a good way though. Walking in feels very comfortable and well done. It's a little modern rustic-y (word?) but still new. Basically, a how-to on designing a trendy "hipster" bar. Nothing wrong with that at all, but just giving you an idea on what you can expect. Upstairs is another room, which seems to be geared towards parties and events which is a great touch. Outside is a huge patio complete with fireplaces, and tv's. A perfect spot for a summer night drink. Make sure to watch out for the "death ledge" that is in between you and the patio where the huge doors swing open. I tripped at least 5 times coming in and out. As did countless others. This needs to be addressed. It also seemed a little college crowd heavy. A lot of buckets of Bud were going around the place. Nothing against college kids, I was one at one point, but take from that what you will. On to the product. I just ordered a couple beers on draft, which they have plenty of, so you'll have no problem finding an awesome beer to drink. The cocktails all looked and sounded really good. But, from what my girlfriend told me, none of them were very special. I did try a sip of three different cocktails and they tasted mediocre at best. It makes sense though because each cocktail took approximately 15 seconds for the bartender to make because it looked as though they were simply being poured out from pre-mixed bottles they made earlier. Great for speedy service, bad for quality service. We didn't indulge in any food, so that is on the docket for my next visit. Overall, this will be a hotspot, especially considering their location. I would have no qualms with chilling on the amazing patio next to a fire watching a Reds game this summer. Some minor tweaks, like the "ledge of death", and increasing the quality of the cocktails and this place will be practically perfect. See ya next time Pearl's! read more

Review for a private event. We were hosting this party from out of town and without ever having been here. The staff, the service, and the venue all lived up to and exceeded the hype. The manager, Clint, helped us through the process, was timely in answering questions, and made planning really smooth. We rented the upper floor for a Saturday afternoon party. Over the course of about 3 hours, we expected about 60-75 people to filter in and out. The size of the space handled this with room to spare. The manager let us bring in catered food from elsewhere and then let people order off the normal bar menu. The drink variety was spectacular - lots of excellent beers, including a solid variety of brews local to the 513. The room has a small outdoor porch/balcony that allowed people to get some fresh air. Our space's decor was rustic but sophisticated, and featured photos from the building's origins. A woman named Pearl lived here. Ask the bartenders for the story! The staff here went above and beyond. We got there a little early to set up some decorations, including a laptop with a little photo slide show. One employee recommended that we hook the laptop up to one of the TVs using one of their HDMI cables, then went to get a cable and hooked it up for me! The images became the hit of the party and really set the scene for my family. And we never would have thought of it without the employee's recommendation. Both of the bartenders dedicated to our party were attentive and knowledgeable, efficient and affable. I really cannot speak highly enough of Pearl's. read more

Always a good environment and a good time. Patio is amazing. Bartenders are efficient and on point. If you are single and in your thirties- get your ass to Pearls. read more

Checked this place out for happy hour last week. Not only is the bar really cute, they also have nice outdoor seating with a tv and fireplace. The bartenders were some of the friendless I've ever encountered. I was told there is an upstairs room for private events, and they sometimes open it up if it's a busy night. I'll definitely be back again. read more

Trendy, fun place, love the open air garage door off to a back patio! Jerky is sooo yummy!!!

Really cool little spot for a couple drinks. I could see hanging on the porch for happy hour if the weather is nice. Very attentive service, just a limited menu. Was hoping for a good lunch, but had to go elsewhere on a Saturday afternoon for a "real" meal read more

Pearl's has a nice vibe, the beer selection is decent. We went for a couple of beers and ordered the humus plate, which was good. I look forward to going back again. read more

Pearl's is my usual stop when I'm biking along the Ohio River Trail, so I've never been here during the evening or ordered any food. But, just stoping in for a beer a few times was great. It's surrounded by more boring run-of-the-mill chains but it stands out in a restored historic home. During the Summer they open up the back wall to a great back patio. They have several TVs to watch sports, but they are not intrusive or the centerpiece. They have a great rotating selection on tap, I like to try whatever new beer they have and have not been let down. The bartenders are always very friendly and helpful. Pearl's is a great Summer night option, or drink with friends. I'll have to return during an evening to get a feel for the nightlife. read more

This is my new favorite bar. The outside is gorgeous white distressed wood and has a back patio that is perfect for sitting with a large group and enjoying a beautiful day. They have two flat screen TVs, a beautiful fireplace outside for cooler nights, and plenty of seating. The inside is even more beautiful; all dark wood and you can even smell that woody scent that I happen to love. They also have a great space upstairs you can rent out for special parties. I'm very excited about this new bar! read more

I went to Pearl's Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised with the neighborhood feel of the place. The bar area was pretty spacious in the renovated 100 year old building. They also have a very nice outdoor patio with a brick fireplace that should be a great way to spend an evening outside boozing. They had about 8-10 beers on draft from what I can remember as well as a pretty decent bourbon/liquor selection. It was also relatively cheap for the area, I had a pint of Rhinegeist Truth and my girlfriend had a Stella and our bill was only $10.00. I have a feeling that I will be spending more time at Pearl's since my significant other lives in the area and I'm not mad about it. It's a nice change of pace from the usual packed bars by me in OTR. read more

Pearls is a great new bar in Columbia Tusculum. They renovated an old house, and left a lot of charm along the way. The paint on the outside is still distressed, and you can see thru cracks in the floor. But the feel inside was perfectly under lit and quietly modern... I enjoyed the vibe it brought. Outside is a nice big patio, and a fireplace for chilly nights. The best part was pricing... very reasonable! I'll definitely be making this a regular stop. read more

It feels like Pearl's was picked up from the hipster central in OTR and plopped down in a parking lot in Columbia-Tusculum. I think the place has potential, but it's still a little rough around the edges. The pours on my jameson/ginger beer were inconsistent - sometimes too strong, other times not strong enough. It was very busy on a Thursday evening so they must be doing something right. I'll give it another try because it's good to have more variety in the area so hopefully it gets better as time passes. read more

I love Pearls. The atmosphere is always really nice and the patio is perfect on a nice night. I absolutely love the fact that I can bring my dogs to the patio! Every time we bring them, a bartender brings out a bowl of water and dog treats. The fire on a chilly night is a great addition to this bar. read more

I hosted my sister's Bridal Shower in the upstairs room at Pearl's, and we had a wonderful time! Clint was very easy to work with and accommodating in answering my many questions. We were able to bring in our own food, which greatly helped with our cost-savings. Clint and his team set up the room in a way that was perfect for laying out our food as well as allowing enough room for all guests to sit and eat - we had just over 25 guests total. Pearl's let us bring in balloons as well as table decor to perfectly decorate the space, which is already pretty and gets a lot of natural light. Our bartender (I think his name was Rob) provided excellent service throughout the event, even walking around and offering refills to guests through the event (which was outside of his job description)! I would highly recommend Pearl's for any private event you may need! read more

Stunning historic building in an up and coming location. We are beer drinkers primarily and they had a decent beer selection. I was hoping for some more exotic cocktails though. Also, right now not a lot of bars in that area so a little off the map. I imagine this would be a great place for happy hour! Beautiful patio in the back as well. read more

Finally a great neighborhood bar in Columbia Tusculum! The owners and bartenders are super friendly and really try to get to know their regular customers. The story behind the bar is cool too... It was the last residence standing in the now commercial Columbia Square, and the bar is named after the home's previous owner! Love the history and all the character. Plus, they definitely don't skimp on the pours! Cute, large patio with TVs and a fireplace. Can't wait to hang here in the fall! There's also a top floor that can be rented out for private parties for a nominal fee! read more

I'm a fan of the space. They have a great patio and the renovation they did to the bar is really cool and unique. However, the food/drinks are subpar compared to the atmosphere. The selection of draft beers is really strange and cocktails aren't anything special either. Don't go if you are hungry either because the food selection is even worse than the drink selection. Four different apps that are nothing special and can be found at any other bar in the city and probably in your own refrigerator at home. read more

This place was great! We went out there because a friend recommended it to watch the game. While I don't think this is the best spot to go out and watch a sporting event, it definitely won me over with its charm. It's a hidden gem on Parkway. Like others have commented, it's nice to see a space that has a lot of parking. It was pretty cold outside, but there were lots of heaters to keep warm to enjoy the beautiful patio. I stuck to the tried and true bottled beer, so I can't comment on any of the cocktails. I thought it was very clean, and it didn't feel too crowded. Overall, a great spot I can't wait to go back to! read more

If you're looking for a chill and relaxing place to drink that isn't too packed and not too much of a ghost town, Pearl's is for you. As a college student at the time of writing this, I loved the atmosphere away from your typical college bars and crowded venues that made you question how you ended up in the middle of two sweaty dudes in the first place. On a serious note, Pearl's offers that sense of backyard patio camaraderie that you and your friends can come to after a long day's work or a go-to if you want to have an easy-going night with a drink or two without the pressure of getting plastered. The servers were all super easy to get along with and were receptive to all our needs and gave solid recommendations based on our preferences. For this particular night, Laura, one of the servers, was especially exceptional due to her cheerful demeanor and attentiveness. Pearl's is definitely a must if you just want to sit back, relax, and drink away the night with friends and loved ones. read more

I love the secluded-feel of this bar. You can have a conversation with your company and there be no need for yelling. The drinks (Moscow mule, Manhattan, and old fashioned) were delicious. Staff was very nice as well! read more

Being honest....this place was really not even just ok. It was rather poor. Service was sub par at best...more so that the server just did not listen very well and was very very very slow in seeing us. Multiple mistakes on our order. Food....just bar food served on paper plates with plastic forks. Not how I want to eat my food truthfully. Would I come back? Probably not. Can't honestly recommend this place at all. read more

It's great to have more selection in the Columbia Tusculum area. Very easy parking which is a plus compared to Mt. Lookout and Hyde park. Old home renovated into a bar with a great outdoor area. Great local beer selection. Mostly cans though. Not a huge draft selection. Good place for a after dinner beverage. read more

One of the best new bars in the city. The concept is so my style with rustic and modern themes. Has an awesome outdoor patio in the back with hanging lights, TVs and a fireplace for chilly nights. The bartenders are awesome and friendly, always willing to help you, and even though it's s smaller main bar they are pretty quick with service. Beer selection is huge and up to date with current popular local brews. Overall 5++ stars. Plus they also have an awesome music playlist every time I go there which earns big points in my book when it comes to bars. read more

We just recently had our wedding reception at Pearl's. Clint did a great job of answering questions, and the private party room was super nice. I would highly recommend this venue to everyone. read more

Pearl's is a place that is a pretty cool spot and has lots of potential, but I do wish their draft beer selection was a bit better. I cannot attest to much else like cocktails or food but the space itself is great with a very nice outdoor patio area, a few TVs outside, and during warm seasons it is completely open in the back. Overall I would go back and hope to see their draft selection improve a bit more in the future but it is a nice place to meet up with friends for a few drinks for sure. read more

Excellent neighborhood spot to grab a drink. 30's and up crowd - bartenders are super friendly and a great drink selection. Don't go there if you have an appetite. Food is limited to finger food/bar snacks. Always my favorite place to meet friends for a drink and to watch a game with no sound :-) read more

We reserved the upstairs room at Pearl's to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday and had a great time! The reservation process was pretty easy and I worked with Clint to work out the details. We had a group of around 30 people and easily met the $500 bar minimum. We had plenty of space with access to a small deck, 2 TVs, and plenty of seating. We played a few games and had a really good time! The accessibility of a free parking lot outside is great! There is an opening to the lower level so you can still hear the music from the main bar which we enjoyed. I highly recommend reserving Pearl's upper level if you want to have a night out with more privacy/space than just going to a bar. read more
