A friend saw the smoked bacon old fashioned as a feature of Decora and insisted we go in one afternoon while visiting the Cincy area. Drinks were fun and tasty - reasonably priced. I liked my s'mores hot cider bevvie and the contraption to smoke the old fashioned cocktails was cool. Food was super meh and despite us being the only table in the place the order came out wrong - but not a deal breaker as they fixed it. Finally got to try this place after driving by too many times! The artsy atmosphere is definitely the main selling point here, but my cocktail was also tasty. We ordered some flatbreads and sliders, and seemed a little pricey for the portion sizes, but it tasted good. We went in the middle of the week and it was not busy or crowded at all and the server was welcoming and attentive. I'd come back! I hosted a graduation party for my daughter who just earned an advanced degree here and everything was perfect! I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! The food is great, service is stellar, drinks are AMAZING, and the price was so reasonable! To top it off, you can't beat the amazing atmosphere! It is so lively and fun that nothing needs to be added! Everyone had a great time and loved it here. We definitely have a new go to spot now! Absolutely Horrifying Experience at Decora! I have never left a review like this before, but what happened at Decora was so outrageous, I feel obligated to warn others. The owner of this restaurant was shockingly rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. He made my friend cry by falsely accusing her of breaking a $600 chair. When I calmly asked to see the chair so I could resolve the issue and pay for it if necessary, he suddenly denied ever saying it was broken. Gaslighting much? We were also accused of being "too loud" -- which is ironic considering we were the only customers in the entire place and could barely hear each other over the deafening techno music they were blasting. The owner's attitude? Even worse. My friend, who had been out in the 90-degree heat for hours, got sick in the bathroom. She was mortified and immediately asked the bartender for cleaning supplies, offering to clean it up herself. She apologized multiple times and tried to do the right thing. Instead of showing an ounce of humanity, the owner stormed out and accused her of "falling asleep" in the bathroom. First of all -- she wasn't. I was with her most of the time. Second -- unless he has cameras inside the bathroom (which would be a serious violation of privacy), there's no way he could possibly know that. The only thing worse than his baseless accusations was his demeaning tone and the fact that we all witnessed men's underwear in the restroom garbage can? This wasn't just bad service by the owner. It was abusive behavior from someone who clearly has no business working in hospitality. Save yourself the time, money, and emotional distress -- there are plenty of restaurants in this city that will treat you like a valued guest instead of garbage. I wish I could give a 3.5. The atmosphere and ambiance at Decora is definitely the wow factor, but....something is not working. I got together with a group of girlfriends on a Thursday and we were the only ones dining there for well over an hour and a half. By the time we left there were a few others, but overall it left me feeling puzzled that this place hasn't found its identity yet. It is an eclectic place but it's too over the place. The menu is covering too many dishes and cuisine to really be remarkable. I got the fish tacos and the flavor felt lacking, especially for the price tag. It seems like the space (food and cocktails) is aiming for NYC when it's really NKY. I got a wells tequila and soda and was shocked at the price when checking out. I really would hate to see such a beautiful place filled with art fail, but the actual restaurant piece seems to be an afterthought here. read more

A message to the owners: please listen to your reviewers. There are many of us who LOVE to frequent privately-owned places. Heck, I'm even cool with eclectic vibes. One-of-a-kind places like this can be fun, but several things are off here. I totally realize that the small restaurant biz is difficult, but sometimes that difficulty is exacerbated by a poor delivery. What a cool place. A bunch of us stopped as a work group after dinner. Drinks were reasonable prices. Such a neat atmosphere and decor!

I have driven by this place so many times on my way home from work and never stopped until yesterday. So happy I did! It looks like an art gallery from the outside with its vibrant colors and decor. I had high hopes for this place, given its beautiful ambiance, but unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by terrible management. The service was painfully slow, but the real issue was the manager--rude, openly misogynistic, and condescending to both patrons and his own staff. It was uncomfortable to witness how poorly he treated the women working there, and his behavior toward female guests was somehow worse. The stunning decor and eye-catching art create the illusion of sophistication, but beneath the surface, the experience is anything but--tainted by toxicity, misogyny, and mismanagement. Until there's a serious change in leadership, I'd suggest spending your money somewhere that values both its (female) customers and employees. read more

I was hesitant to visit, due to other poor reviews but went here with a friend to give a new business a shot. The ambiance is obviously a huge draw and very unique. The owner created and painted every inch of the space, the variety and sheer volume of artwork in the space, is really impressive and cool. We went on a Sunday night, their menu is a little all over the place, they had all day brunch and a full coffee menu, which we loved. Their other menu items were all over the place, lots of fish options, BBQ. Their menu felt as if they took their favorite dishes from other restaurants and replicated them, even if they didn't make sense together. However we were happy with our food. We both opted for brunch choices and coffee. Our server had us start a tab, which I thought was super odd, I've never done that at a restaurant. Even at bars they don't require you to start a tab. We did it anyways but even writing this still seemed weird, we didn't order any alcohol either. There were only two other small groups there when we visited so nothing took long at all. The server was new but kind and tried to be helpful in suggestions. We felt overwhelmed with the variety of choices but truthfully he didn't give much in the way of suggestions. We ordered what we saw another table order which was their Cinnamon Rolls and the loaded tots. Both were good, but nothing special. It feels as if they just don't have their footing or place yet. They give off a night club atmosphere in looks but the actual atmosphere just did't match that with their coffee, and dessert section. Don't get me wrong I love coffee, so I was happy to see that, but it seems like they're still figuring out what they really want to be. If they find a clear vision, and get a specific vibe for their food offerings I think it could be really successful. My GF and I stoped in after Blink. There was only about 4 people in the building. The bartender was nice and asked what we wanted. I ordered the special drink. It was a Frankenstein sort of drink. The bartender started making it but kept going in the back for some reason. After about five trips to the back, he finally finished the drink. Instead of giving it to me, he gave it to the other bartender to try. We left. Never even got our drink after a good 20 minutes. read more

I don't know where to begin! I went with a friend after seeing a play (we're both older women) and the owner announced our entrance to the bartender as "his grandmas". Say what!!???? But we stayed and sat in the most uncomfortable chairs--too cushy, not a good match with the table. My friend ordered a wine which had turned so she sent it back. I ordered sliders--they were out--so I settled for the loaded tater tots. A big mistake. The tots had the smell of freezer burn and were unappetizingly heavy with cheese and barbecue. Our visit included performance art in the way of a dropped glass that shattered close to our table. We were checking our food for shards. There was no apologies.
