We went out (on a school night!) to see Ben Levin. It was a great time! The Hubbs was "starving" so we got him the stuffed mushrooms to hold him over. They were amazing! I had a salad and added chicken thinking I'd also have a sandwich...slow down, sister! That salad was definitely a MAIN and not a side. Husband had a Philly cheesesteak and polished off every last crumb. Our server was lovely. The only downside is the parking situation. Definitely leave with enough time to park and walk. Such a nice little venue! We were here with friends last night for a show and it was a great time. We had a table and ordered drinks and food before the show started. While the food was definitely way better than we expected - it's not awesome. But we weren't there for the dinner experience. We were here for a show. The Old Fashioned I had was very good. I only had the one and sipped it all night but everyone else had a variety of cocktails and beers and had no complaints. Our server was fantastic. Friendly and quick. Everyone that worked there was friendly. My husband mentioned again this morning that he really liked the venue, had a nice time and thought the service was great. Cincinnati's favorite band "Soul Pocket" plays at the Redmoor about once a month. The band is known for playing music from Motown to today's hip dance songs. We chose to have dinner and we're pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We chose a wedge salad and a Redmoor burger and found them to be quite delightful. Wedge salad was fresh Romaine loaded with Real bacon and a good quality Blu cheese crumbles and dressing. And the burger was a hefty 7 oz burger with cheddar on a freshly toasted bun. And yes! Hot! French fries. Service was excellent. We arrived about an hour before the band started and enjoyed cocktails and dinner in a no rush situation. Once the band starts it's large and in charge. Enjoyed a great evening and a Rodger Klug concert at the Redmoor. I subscribe to the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra who does a pub crawl here annually - always fun. Easy to get to on the east side of Cincinnati and plenty of parking. The theater is a basic, "club like" venue with a bar, stage and food service. Service was great, even in a sold out concert. From the marquee there were plenty of interesting upcoming events. We ordered a couple of appetizers (crab rangoon, breaded shrimp), followed by a yummy signature Redmoor burger which was excellent. The warm chocolate brownie/ice cream was a great end. I would definitely look for a reason to go and enjoy this place again - super laid back and fun atmosphere. read more

We went to the Redmoor tonight to see a comic perform. We weren't sure how crowded it would be, so we went early in order to get seats and decided just to have dinner there. Well, who knew that all of their food was made fresh in their own kitchen? It really was delicious. We started off with the Buffalo chicken eggrolls. (Similar to Delwood and Parksides) They were absolutely delicious and came with a side of hot sauce with blue cheese. Then I had a cheeseburger and fries and my husband had the pepperoni pizza. Their fries were fresh cut and really good. All of the food was. The service was amazing. The waitress checked on us often and we were never without water or drinks. We attended the Sunburner's Christmas Show last night. The sound is wonderful ! I've been there a few times before. The staff is great ! Very attentive and friendly. One night, my wife and I went to The Redmoor for a concert. The Redmoor is a bit tricky to get to. In fact, we spent a good portion of time trying to find a place to park. Soon, we were rewarded with a parking space, far behind the building. From the outside, The Redmoor looks like an old movie theater, so naturally, I was ecstatic. On the inside, the walls were painted with bright colors and the bar was hard at work, keeping up with patrons. The hostess escorted us to our reserved table, followed by our friendly server. He started us off with drinks and answered our menu questions. I had ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and my wife had wings. We had shared an appetizer which were like Southwest Eggrolls. Everything tasted great and they kept the soft drinks going. The only problems I had during my time in The Redmoor, were the carpet and the restroom. The carpet had a mildew smell which didn't go away. In fact, it drove my allergies into an absolute frenzy. The restroom was in decent shape, but one of the paper towel machines stopped working. Not a big deal, just an inconvenience. All in all, the concert, food and service were great and overshadowed the little inconveniences I had. Please check this place out. It has taken me some time to figure out what I want to say in this review and that is because I don't feel like words alone are enough to say how incredible Mandie, Jennifer and their team are. I wish there were many more stars we could give. We got married on May 11th and everything was just perfect! Mandie and team didn't miss a beat and really ensured that all we had to do was show up and enjoy our evening. The food was outstanding and we had several guests pull us aside the night of the wedding and say how great their meal was and how impeccable the service. I love the space, but the food and drinks could be a notch better. This is a great place to see a dinner show. I've had a few different drinks here and I think the alcohol content can be a little inconsistent considering the prices. Additionally, the food is not terribly remarkable. Certainly not bad, but I wouldn't come here for any specific menu item. On my last visit I did see a wonderful music/improv performance that I wouldn't mind seeing again. I'm not certain, but I'm guessing that staffing has been a bit more difficult lately, as it has been for many in the food service industry. Our server, though friendly, seemed very stressed. I couldn't characterize the service as speedy, but it wasn't terribly slow either. I wouldn't mind visiting sometime soon, but I hope I find something a little more exciting on the menu. read more

I like the Redmoor and I enjoy going there but I really hate it when places don't sell tickets at the box office. The only way you can get tickets is Eventbrite and more and more these ticket vendors are just a pain in the neck and a rip off. Would it really be so bad to be open a couple hours a week to sell tickets directly? read more

I guess I have had my better days at the Redmoor in years past. The venue is still good and them serving food at concerts is actually pretty sweet. The downside is that the bands who came did zero advertising in the Cincinnati market and the crowd sucked. We saw Dead Centric and there was not a hippie in the place except for a half dozen. The rest were yuppies from the surrounding area and they could have cared less for the music. Evan was our waiter and he was sporadic, but we did get our food. There were three women waiting tables as well and they seemed to be very attentive to their tables. The wedge salad was the highlight of the night. Romaine hearts with blue chees, balsamic glaze, and candied hot bacon. The crab rangoon tasted good but he presentation was blah. They could have lined the plate with a bit of lettuce or something. Needless to say we felt the night was a bust overall. The prices were good for the food and drinks. The burgers and mushroom appetizer we saw go out looked good too. It's so pretty and romantic. They serve food made with fresh quality products. There's beer on tap, wine by the glass or bottle, soda and signature drinks, salads asks appetizers and specially made doughnuts. The stage is huge along with the venue. There is a television on either side of the stage, although I didn't view them, I'm not sure what they are used for.The bar area is large. Beautiful place! read more

I just visited this classic establishment in old Mount Lookout. I had a great time. They put on the Oscar nominated Short films, both animated and live action. They also added in some great foreign commercials. They had a limited menu but a good bar selection. It was a popular event so seating was tight but everyone got a seat from what I could tell. On Saturday night we attended the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra's Summermusik performance of Radiohead standards at Redmoor. We tried to park in Redmoor's designated parking lot but there was only one really narrow spot left (as in we wouldn't have been able to open our doors once we pulled into the spot). I found what appeared to be a makeshift spot but the tow-zone signs scared me parking at a meter on the road. OK so 15 minutes down and I finally get into the venue. Upon entry I noticed the large bar on the right an people were two-deep around most of it because it was 15 minutes until showtime so there were trying to get their drinks. The bartenders were moving with purpose and I was asked for my order within five minutes. Seating was general admission so we found two standard chairs on the middle right. We saw a sea of heads in front of us and decided to move back to the upper level bar-height chairs and table. Each table had four chairs and two of them were taken so we introduced ourselves to the couple already there. We liked how relatively intimate the venue was, the deep purple curtain, the lighting, and of course the acoustics. Overall we enjoyed our Redmoor experience. read more

We met friends at The Redmoor last night for a show featuring the Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra and Mandy Gaines. This is a great venue. I have only been there once before and have had a good experience both times. The show was fabulous and we were very happy with our food. We shared a buffalo pizza and a wedge salad. The wine selection is so-so, though they do offer a nice selection of draft beers. Our server, Luke, was attentive to our needs throughout the evening and worked well in the tight quarters. As noted in other reviews, parking is a concern but not arriving at the last minute is a good strategy to over-coming that possible irritation. Fantastic music, 8 dollar cover (which is nothing for what you get to listen to) Super nice staff, reasonable prices for drinks (I haven't eaten here) I came here once when it was called something else about 5 years ago or so and had forgotten and got a nightmare flashback about that night (when I fell on my face because I may or may not have been over-served... I'll let you decide) Hilarious. Anyway... you walk in and there's your standard bar area, then there's a lower level with tables and a giant dance floor and stage! The crowd I'm sure can vary, but I was definitely on the younger side - more of a 40+ crowd, but I'm sure that just depends on what's going on. I had a great time. The sound isn't great, it's hard to hear clearly when someone is speaking. Watch out for the floor outside of the bathrooms. The floor slants and you can trip if you're not paying attention. It's Mt. Lookout, so parking can be an issue, but they have valet for larger events. read more

If you want to have the night of your life at your wedding, go with the Redmoor. We first looked at the Redmoor because we wanted a place with character and we definitely found it! It's a 1920s movie theater transformed into an event center with a beautiful bar and decorations. The planning process with Mandie went very smoothly. She met as often as we wanted to and knew what all we needed to do. We were a relatively hands-off couple and she made sure we had all of the details taken care of. The day of, she and her staff took care of it all. They will set the place up for you and tear it down so you don't have to stay after your own wedding to clean up! The food and drinks were WONDERFUL. We went with heavy hors d'oeuvres and I'm so happy we did. I highly recommend the shrimp, steak skewers, and spinach artichoke puffs (everything was good but I found myself wanting many of these!). They have a craft beer package so you can add local craft beers to your menu, and the liquor drinks were perfect. The atmosphere of the place was everything I could have wanted. Having the dance floor down at the bottom by the stage really encourages dancing because people don't feel like they're on display. Our guests could eat, dance, and mingle as they pleased. Truly, I have nothing but good things to say about the Redmoor. Mandie was absolutely delightful and although it went by too quickly, we had a perfect night! This is a great and versatile venue, I have been here three times already for three different uses of the space. I will say that they seem to get overwhelmed when at 3/4 capacity which seems like a management issue. The drinks are just OK, the food is decent, but the dishes could use a bit of work. For example if you order the gruyere dip and pita bread you will get an enormous platter of pita and only enough dip for 1/6th of them. more cheese will cost you extra and will take a while to come out. The service is good when you can get it, or maybe we just keep going to the super popular stuff when they are understaffed ( why?). I would come again, but maybe eat dinner beforehand. read more

The Redmoor, like the 20th Century in Oakley and the Madison in Covington, was once a movie theatre. It is now just one big room with a stage, tiered seating and bar area. If you go for the jazz on Thursdays you will find the ancillary noise to be distracting -- there is no door to the kitchen so you'll hear plates banging and staff talking and the talking at the bar can get pretty loud. None of this matters on rock-n-roll nights, they crank it up and the music is so loud you can't hear yourself think. Saw some great films there -- Oscar Shorts and Buck Howard. The Redmoor does not present the films -- they rent to CincyWorldCinema, which brings in a screen and rear projector. Too bad they don't have a big screen and front projector like the other club venues, guess they won't spend the $$$. Not really the best environment for film -- all of the above noise factors apply and the chairs and bar stools become uncomfortable after about an hour. If the bar were separate and there was a door to the kitchen it would be a lot better for both music and film. read more

I see that The Redmoor has a lot of great reviews, so apparently my experience was unusual, but I still don't see myself going back. It took extremely long to get a drink, so you'd have to order a bunch at once if you didn't want to spend the evening waiting at the bar, but then it was hard to find a place to set your drinks down. And it was almost impossible to find a place to sit. At one point we grabbed what we thought was an open bench but someone came over and yelled at us - it was not an employee, but the person was very rude and it was the final straw to ruining our evening. read more

As far Seeing Live Music, Redmoor is not the place to go. Food, Bar, Atmosphere is fine, but they care more about weddings here than Live Music. The audience area is literally lit up by 4 overhead bright white lights. It is like being at a high school dance. I just visited the Redmoor last weekend to see Ekoostik Hookah and felt bad for the band and sound/lighting people. I actually spoke to the band technicians and they said the owners were concerned with people smoking, so the lights are right on you, and they were not happy about it. The Band can probably see you better than you can see them. I asked the co-owner of this venue why the lights directly on the audience? She gave a very canned answer about fire code / fire dept requirements, but it was easy to see that was just a line of you know what......... All these other venues in Cinci don't flood their patrons in white light on the dance floor ????? Dear Redmoor, I know some of the Band members in your up-coming Charity Band event this weekend and I'm sure you'll hear from them. good luck!
