I got a hold of MyEyeDr corporate and the rep there confirmed this charge was an error and told me to have the collections company call him back. However a few months later I got another call from the collections agency, and this time the MyEyeDr representative said that this was "required coinsurance" because my insurance company didn't pay what they had expected. I finally paid collections. I'd not recommend MyEyeDr. They really ripped me off IMO and wasted an hour or more of my time on phone calls.

I've been getting glasses for more than 40 years and this was the absolute worst exam. After the exam they refused to give me a copy of the updated prescription. I had to call the corporate office to get a copy of the prescription sent...only to find out that the prescription wasn't valid. After 5 more phone calls they offered me a new exam or they would validate the bad prescription. Why would I have another exam if the first was bad? Why should I accept a questionable prescription? To sum it up: - A terrible eye exam - Awful patient service trying to fix a problem they created My suggestion is go somewhere else.

Well my story started 2/15/2024. Went for glasses and they said instead I was getting cataract…read moresurgery. They said it would be a two week ordeal. I'd see better than i have ever seen before. So I got cataract surgery on the first eye. This was done by Dr Molly Walsh. Woke up couldn't open the eye. Then when I could open it I only could see white. Went 3 weeks of multiple visits to the office being told they didn't know why the swelling would not go down. Unable to see the surgeon because she was on vacation for 3 weeks. When I finally saw her she said I needed to wait 2-5 months and she guaranteed I'd see again. That she's been doing this for 20 years and she knew what she was talking about. I was so upset when I left there I was in tears. After her dismissive attitude I went to get a second opinion at a different eye doctor. He told me I would never see again without a cornea transplant which was damaged during the cataract surgery. Of course Walsh said nothing about it being damaged during surgery. He set me up to go to Indy to get it fixed. After multiple trips to Indy, staying for a week at a time at my own expense mind you, my eyes are finally fixed. I have been trying for months to get this eye dr to give me the card that I'm supposed to carry in my wallet at all times. This card should have been given to me the day of the surgery 2/15/2024. They keep passing the blame to the surgery center. The surgery center blames the Dr. I don't care who was supposed to give it to me. Someone needs to get me the card. They need to order another set of the exact lenses that they put in my eye and give me the card out of the box. It's supposed to be in my wallet. Definitely a shit show. Tired of this crap and am about to hire a lawyer. The date today is 11/22/2024. 9 Months of crap because of this place. Get your stuff together people. You are messing with people's sight and livelihoods.

It comes with free boxes of lens and 50 coupon for glasses. They advertise frames at 69.00 and up. I called for appointment and they let me pick the day and time which I liked because some days I cannnot leave work. On my way there for my appoinmtent I get an automated call sating my appointment was the next day, a day which I couldnt. I called and they acted like it was my fault and I had to come into tomorrow. I said well then I will not be in because thats the one day I cannot come in and I do not mind if I have to rescedule to next week. I was transfered and they were able to squeeze me in later that same day, which was good. I am near sighted and need prescriptions to see far away. I read 100 essay papers weekly for work and I have never had problems seeing the words. I come in and the dr said I need to be switched to multifocal lens and then went on to say thats normal for my age since Im getting older (40 yrs old). Two years ago I was just fine at a different doctor. I figured oh well. Until I got out front and was told since I need multifocal that online coupon doesnt apply and I have new multfocal prices on not just my lens but the exam itself. I had to pay 99 for just the exam and then they said my contacts were 150 a box, where Im used to paying 50 a box. I said I was just going to buy them on 1800contacts and to just charge me for the exam and I would just get glasses later. They said they would price match me on the contacts so I went ahead and got them. I couldnt find any lens in the store under 100 bucks so I got a pair for 110. Then the lens were crazy expensive since im now on multifocal. The tech offered me a deal if I signed up for the club for 20 bucks where I got 50% off my glasses. So my total price was 500 instead of the 800 full price for glasses and 2 boxes of contacts. I am happy I did get a discount, however, I was only expecting to pay 300 at first.

Visible to the necked eye. I went from having two pairs of eye glasses to one pair. I am extremely angry and I won't go there again.

The left eye lens was correct but the right lens gave me blurred vision. They confirmed with my old glasses that the prescription for the right eye was different from what I currently have. I told them that my old glasses corrected my vision better than the new glasses. I was then told I had to "try them out" for 3 days or so before they would do anything about it. The main problem being that these glasses were explicitly purchased for DRIVING. How exactly am I supposed to "try out" glasses used to drive when they make my vision worse??
