Just after your money! Staff is very argumentative. Especially if you are a senior citizen!

The letter below is fairly self-explanatory. But it was forwarded to the person about whom I was…read morecomplaining! The ultimate decision was to do whatever she wanted done. Neither the doctor(s) nor the unresponsive office manager Gail assumed any responsibility. Customer service, patient concern. Nonexistant. Parts of the letter: Throughout my vast collection of years, I have never, ever experienced such unwarranted, unprofessional, unacceptable unpleasant treatment as that which I received from Diane in optical. ... I went to the optical area to pick frames and found an amazing style. It was chic and cool and looked (and felt) great. Diane told me it would be too heavy. That's all she said. Period. Since the frames were so comfortable, I shrugged.... When I came to pick up my new glasses, no adjustment was needed. Were they heavy? A little, but seemed to fit perfectly. Later that night, I was in anguish. My nose was really sore and bright red. Diane had been right ... A week later I returned to the office. When Diane sat down across from me, I smiled and said, "You were right." I then pointed to a lighter pair and before I could open my mouth she told me she had spoken to her manager and I could not exchange the glasses for new frames. She's losing money on me. This happened way too much. In a state of utter shock, I asked for an explanation. She was wearing glasses I had returned two years ago. She then accused me of being a liar. But wait. There's more. She also noted that I had returned glasses last year, too. Well, no. Those glasses came from Costco and were simply adjusted after my appointment with you on February 15, 2017. Then, when I asked if I could have lenses made for existing frames, the answer was a resounding NO. Since she didn't carry those frames anymore, neither of them could be used. Period. End of story. Summary: My only options were to keep the heavy glasses or return them. I could not exchange them for new ones. I could not have lenses made for existing frames. The refund had to go through the doctor(s) and could not be put on the credit card on which the amount had been charged. Additionally, since our vision insurance was already used, I will have to pay full price for new frames/lenses somewhere else. And I need new lenses." It took several weeks for the office manager to call. Sad. Very sad. Unprofessional and irresponsible.

I had my first eye exam recently with Dr Schwartz. Doctor and staff were very friendly. I had…read moreprescription lenses fitted to my own frames. I got the glasses back the same week and they are great. My only complaint was that as a first time patient it was a bit challenging to find the office. I wasn't familiar with parking at Memorial and spent way too much time circling the area to find parking and then when I got into the building there were no signs indicating where their office was. There were signs for other offices but not theirs.

While doing my exam she forced me by using her hands to push me to fit into the machine, which hurt. I like Dr Snachez she is knowledgeable.Very approachable.Important for a doctor. Low marks due to lackluster staff not doctor. Don't hold this against them all in all got the job done.

Well my story started 2/15/2024. Went for glasses and they said instead I was getting cataract…read moresurgery. They said it would be a two week ordeal. I'd see better than i have ever seen before. So I got cataract surgery on the first eye. This was done by Dr Molly Walsh. Woke up couldn't open the eye. Then when I could open it I only could see white. Went 3 weeks of multiple visits to the office being told they didn't know why the swelling would not go down. Unable to see the surgeon because she was on vacation for 3 weeks. When I finally saw her she said I needed to wait 2-5 months and she guaranteed I'd see again. That she's been doing this for 20 years and she knew what she was talking about. I was so upset when I left there I was in tears. After her dismissive attitude I went to get a second opinion at a different eye doctor. He told me I would never see again without a cornea transplant which was damaged during the cataract surgery. Of course Walsh said nothing about it being damaged during surgery. He set me up to go to Indy to get it fixed. After multiple trips to Indy, staying for a week at a time at my own expense mind you, my eyes are finally fixed. I have been trying for months to get this eye dr to give me the card that I'm supposed to carry in my wallet at all times. This card should have been given to me the day of the surgery 2/15/2024. They keep passing the blame to the surgery center. The surgery center blames the Dr. I don't care who was supposed to give it to me. Someone needs to get me the card. They need to order another set of the exact lenses that they put in my eye and give me the card out of the box. It's supposed to be in my wallet. Definitely a shit show. Tired of this crap and am about to hire a lawyer. The date today is 11/22/2024. 9 Months of crap because of this place. Get your stuff together people. You are messing with people's sight and livelihoods.

I walk in and the ladies at the front are taking care of people, so I stand there in line to wait to check in. Deb gets up and walks a customer to another location , doesn't say hey give me a min or I will be with you no type of greeting at all. So I stand there, Deb comes back answers the phone and still acts like she cant see me. I sit down in a chair need her and wait, two others people come in and she takes care of them, mind you i was there for about 30 mins and I have gone by my appointment time at this point. She talks with the people all nice and pleasant, and like a flip of the switch she is like umm can I help you( talking to me) do you have a appointment. i responded with yes I have tried to check in but you just walked away and have showed no acknowledgment I was here. She responded very snippy and rude with well i had to help others. Mind you she had a whole how you doing conversation and asking about this woman's life talk and still did not help me. I then responded with my last name and said just cancel my appointment. I have no clue if the doctors are good or not here, but I will say your two ladies that are up front to check people in are the first impression of your office you will loose more and more people. not a very welcoming place and to think I was excited about coming to a new optical place.
