Ordered my glasses on April 1st and was told it would take 2 weeks max to get them back. A week later, i get a text that my glasses were ready. After having headaches and trouble seeing for however long, I was excited. Wrong lenses were in my glasses. Didn't realize until I got home and tried reading with them. Furious, I bring them back and ask how they could put the wrong lenses in. They say they'll take care of it, so I give the glasses back. A week later, get a text my glasses are ready. Leave work to pick them up, and they aren't there. Fed up with the gross incompetence, I ask for a refund and cancel the glasses. (At this point, it's been nearly a month since I ordered my glasses and no end in sight) Am told they can't until the manager is in and he'll give me a call. Bottom feeding liars I am beyond furious. I was lied to by a bottom feeder salesman about an upgrade and I decided to go elsewhere because I didn't trust them. I wasn't going to leave a review but they just sent a text saying that my prescription expired and I must "act soon". Fun fact, prescriptions are good for a year. Lying chumps still trying to blow smoke. FYI, Costco is way cheaper. Doesn't seem like it up front but I got two pair of glasses with higher end frames with progressive AND transition lenses for $400. They wanted $375 for just one. That "free frame" deal is smoke and mirrors. read more

Normally no issues but today after driving across town to pick up my daughter's contacts...they've "closed early"? Sign on the window says Saturday hours until 4 PM. I arrive 3:30 PM to pick up contacts only to be turned away because all the lights are off and everyone is gone! Extremely frustrating not to keep the posted hours. Very inconvenient. read more

Excellent service from Kristi from start to finish. She came up with a creative way to get me temporary glasses in an hour and offered prescription sunglasses at a decent price. Eye Doctor in residence is terrible. He doesn't want to answer questions, he doesn't want to help. All he wants is to do our exams and get you out of there. Very upset with the way I was treated I had some questions that were very important to me and he ignored all of them. The Drs at the office are great--- this review is not a reflection on them. Glasses are never complete and ready when quoted. When I picked up a pair a month ago I told them something was wrong. Tammy said no they are right. 30 minutes later and after further looking at the lenses she noticed the lenses were defective. Funny ---- you should listen to your customer when they tell you something is not right. Next issue a month later, I went in on a Friday afternoon to have the my prescription redone and I was told they would be done the next day. I said ok the next day in the morning would be fine. When I called them to find out the status of my glasses I was told they may not be done until Monday. Wait---- What???! This is unacceptable! It seems to be a pattern with Eyemart. TO LET YOU DOWN. It also took Them a month to get my moms lenses correct. The funny thing was when we were in there about my glasses my mom specifically asked about her lenses and if they were back, the lady checked, she said no I do not see them. This is my favorite place and I've been wearing glasses for 40 years! The doctor was absolutely wonderful, but I understand he's not employed by Eyemart Express. We have a large family and we all have vision needs. The cost for exams was very good, and we are thankful. The staff at the store took lots of time with the six of us, making sure we were finding the styles we wanted, but also making sure that we benefited the most from the multiple specials they had going. I had a reasonably good experience here, until I tried the eye doctor. My prescription was incorrect. Also, the office sent my paperwork to the incorrect insurance agency. And when insurance was denied did not notify me until almost a year later. Further, my name was not listed correctly on the insurance papers. Unfortunately, this was probably one of the worst experiences I have had with a doctor's office. I would not recommend signing their paperwork, since they don't seem to be competent at working with insurance, unless you plan to pay straight up. read more

I took my daughter here to get back-up glasses since she had just switched to contacts. She picked out 2 pair with no-frill lenses for $80 total! We went out for lunch and were texted when her glasses were ready an hour later. Our experience with the staff was wonderful. My daughter had to take off her contacts to try on her new glasses so was allowed back in the optometrist's office. The doctor actually set her up with solution and a contact case. Then when she went to put the contacts back on, the doctor saw she was struggling so gave her some advice. He then asked the office manager to give her another tutorial. We didn't get an eye exam OR contacts at Eyemart but they treated us like royalty! I was expecting bargain basement service to go with their great prices but was so wrong. I had the best experience at this Eye Mart Express. Holly was thorough and very helpful. I'm not going into any specifics, but they made a mistaken on my prescription sun glasses and made up for it in the best way! I highly recommend going here for your glasses. Mine were progressive lenses which take longer and my two pair of regular glasses were ready about a week earlier than anticipated. I went in to order frames and was there for 45 minutes just waiting for them to call my insurance and the lady who I had was on drugs and after all that time I spent there, they decided to tell me my prescription expired. I bought a pair of glasses in Columbus, Ohio while visiting my daughter at school. They told me about the guarantee replacement. My glasses broke 9 months later in South Bend, In. I called the local Eyemart Express. They said NO PROBLEM come on in. In less than 30 min they replaced them and I was out the door. They were so helpful and efficient. We read the complaints about the office service, but both made appointments anyway. Very glad we did. Our insurance arrangements were complicated but we handled most of it over the phone when we made the appointments. Our examinations by Dr. Longnecker were simply exemplary. He listened carefully to our wishes, double-checked his work, was willing to take all the time we needed, and was very attentive, personable and professional throughout. Neither of us could have asked for more. The opticians we dealt with were also efficient and careful. They also were very understanding of the complexities of our insurance and of our wishes for some nonstandard specifications. Our experiences both were efficient and seamless. We will recommend both Dr. Longnecker and Eyemart Express very highly. read more

This is by far the best experience I have ever had purchasing glasses. The Dr. on staff was amazing. He told me things about my eyes that no one ever mentioned. The staff within the store were top notch. I have a difficult prescription, far from blind but difficult. No once did anyone make the whole "ohh wow...gezz" comments that I have been accustomed to hearing most of my life. It is also the first time in 20 yrs I have ever had a company be able to make the glasses the same day. I have always had to wait a week or two. In the past I have spent 500-600 dollars for just one pair. At Eyemart i was able to buy two pairs for less 400 dollars. Again, I have a difficult script so the fact I could get 2 pairs for the price I paid for one was amazing to me. Also, I have always paid to have the anti-glare added to my glasses which is costly. The Dr. told me this actually doesn't help me at all due to how my vision is. I have been paying for this for years and I could have easily been talked into it again. Not having that feature on m lens has made a world of difference. read more
