But the lettering on the wall which was 20 inches tall was blurry. The sample reading card 8"x8" I was holding looked like a trapazoid! Not Square! The young lady who was fitting me for frames said "we made a mistake and "they" must have over prescribed the lenses. Finally, this morning I called at 9:50 to cancel my 10:15 appointment. I live 5 minutes away. They receptionist said they are going to charge me anothe $50 cancellation fee because they have a 15 minute window limitation on cancellations! Go figure! They will not grant a refund, not part of their policy, even though they admitted by their glass-fitter it to being their own error! They got their $$$ and all they can say is sorry.

(Their East Cobb location is not open Mondays.) I showed up very soon after they opened. I recognized Dr. Patel even though it had been over ten years. I explained the two things wrong with my glasses. A member of her team at the front desk examined them and agreed they could be repaired easily. In fewer than 15 minutes, someone walked to the lobby with the repaired glasses. Amazing! In this day and age when so much comes extra, when businesses are squeezed to nickel and dime their customers to make ends meet, I genuinely expected to be charged for this repair. Blazingly fast service and no pressure to buy anything even though it had been over ten years since they made a penny off me? I'm going to make a point to come back when I get my vision prescription renewed in a week. I hope that if you're reading this review it means you're checking them out. Have confidence in visiting them and trusting them to do right by you. I'm no one special. Not a VIP. But even after so long, they happily repaired my eyeglasses restoring my ability to get work done with my vision "restored" so to speak. You are not allowed to refuse. Most places charge $30 for the same tests and offer dilation for free as an option. The staff seemed nice but forced to robotically say the same line to customers all day about the doctor insistence on these mandatory additional charges. I looked up the charges on my phone as soon as they told me about it and found out that dilation was usually an option and that the charge was on the highest end of typical, so walked out and found somewhere else nearby later that same day and am so glad I did. I'll review them separately. Again the place is fine the employees are nice and the eyeglass sales woman was very committed and dedicated and interested but whoever makes their policies is out to make the most money possible with the least work possible.

Zeena Optical is NOT that experience. The feeling of warmth and home is what you get the moment you walk inside. The beautiful eyewear display cases beckons you to try a pair or two on. Their frames were all fairly priced. Once you get to the back, the state of the art technology was top tier. I was jaw dropped by the ease and care of the technician guiding me through the process. After the pre eye screening tests, I was ushered into a beautiful little private office exam room where elegantly placed decor and equipment married together in perfect and tasteful style. When Dr. "A" as she is affectionately called, walked into the room, I knew this would be my forever eye place. Dr. A is not only thorough and proficient, but also she is kind and personable. She is very easy to talk to and the most important thing is that she listens. I felt so seen and heard by her. She is simply in a word fantastic. Well, $15,000 out of pocket and I am back to wearing glasses full time. Even worse is that prior to my surgery, I didn't need reading glasses. Now I can't even see the food on my plate when I eat! I have to wear prescription sunglasses during the day and regular glasses at night and when it's raining. The glare and halos at night make my driving scary and dangerous. She basically told me that I was on my own as far as seeking recommendations for a specialist for an eye condition that I have been diagnosed with through testing. She gave me very bad advice about further treatment for my eye condition. She had a "God" complex as far as her time and treatment of patients is concerned.
