I dropped of a R/x in November for new eyeglasses. Returned in 2 weeks but the R/x had been made for distance, not 'readers'. Went back after another two weeks but had the same problem. An associate , Astrid, said she would guarantee a correct result and in just one week I got the correct eyeglasses. It was not a big problem because I have some old specs and the store location isn't too far, plus they welcome my vision insurance. It was just a bit inconvenient. Astrid thanked me for my patience and sweet attitude and comped me a pair of sunglasses - free!! She gets a '10' for excellent customer service. I have been to some really bad vision companies. Many of them assume that you have to spend your money there. They have poor customer service and don't take the steps needed to give you a complete work up. THIS particular vision works is not one of them. My husband and I had a great experience here. After having an extremely poor experience at another vision works locations we scheduled an appointment at a completely different eye location. Unfortunately their customer service was horrible as well so we tried the Visionworks in Kennesaw and we are so glad that we did. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff here. Everyone was so kind and friendly and competent. They helped me find frames I actually like! Although they were quite busy and my weekend appointment took two hours from start to finish, the end results were worth it. (And the doctor apologized for the wait!) They helped me get the best deal for glasses and contacts based on my insurance plan. Shipping speeds were fast, too, and problems adjusting to my contact prescription were worked out quickly. I called this store to order contacts where I bought my glasses and some previous contacts. I noticed when Karen gave me a price, it was $25-$30 more for each box than other places were charging. I asked if there was any discount to match or get close to other places. She would not take any off so she lost a sell for 6 boxes of contacts. I asked for my prescription for contacts and she emails me my glasses prescription. very frustrating companies do not care to have repeat business. I pull into the parking lot for my appointment and they call me and say I'm not even eligible to do my exam, like they couldn't tell me that days before my appointment? And then I come inside because I'm already there ... and she says if you want to do your appointment you have to pay $119. Like not only did they not to their job and make sure if I am even eligible for the appointment, but proceed to tell me I have to pay $100+ dollars. And I say can you guys give some type of discount considering everything? And she said nope. Not even apologetic. I give their customer service a 5-star rating. Everyone was extremely helpful and all done with a smile. When it comes down to pricing, the lens and frame discount they offer is pretty swell--60% off (excluding the Ray-ban glasses for the frame cost) The only problem I had was the selection of frames to choose from. I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my glasses. They def. don't have the same selection that you would find at Lens Crafter. You can always purchase the frames elsewhere but you don't receive a great lens discount. read more

I will start by saying, "Eyeglasses can be very expensive!" I've worn glass most of my life and in my experiences, and there have been a lot, even when a store advertises certain deals or sales the price seems to raise by a couple of hundred dollars in the end. However, this is not the case with doctor's Visionworks. I brought in my prescription and got the advertised special for 49.95 even though I have an astigmatism- which always raises the price!!! I would also like to add the Guess frames I purchased were originally $200 and had been placed on clearance. I've had my glasses for a couple of days now and am extremely satisfied. I would recommend this store not only due to fair prices, but quality and costumer service as well. read more

The staff isn't pleasant at all. They don't smile, they don't seem to be happy to help. I went to get my eyes examined and I didn't know what to expect. I've never had problems with my eyes before. Therefore, I've never worn glasses or contacts in my life. This was all new to me. The staffed asked me if I've ever worn glasses or contacts. I told them no. Yet they continued to ask me the same question as if I didn't understand. Afterwards I wasn't shown where to be seated or what the procedure would be. Finally after seating a while I asked when would I see the doctor. An woman of asian decent was the rudest of them all. She told me to pick out 4 frames that I may like. I asked if she could help, because I thought I needed to purchase frames that actually fit my face shape and of course my needs. She said, with a frown, know one does that anymore, just pick out a frame! I chose a few frames that I wasn't sure about. I picked them based on the style, but they somehow seemed to big. I found some that were smaller but they looked frames for a child. I asked her a few times for her assistance and she refused to help. finally after seeing the doctor and he discovered I needed glasses for reading only. He wasn't really informative, I had to pry answers from him. I told the receptionist that I would come back with my husband to choose my frames. Later I arrived with my husband and he noticed how neglectful the staff was as well. He helped me choose two frames. The asian decent woman ( sorry can't remember her name) tried to appear a bit more helpful after I brought my husband, but she was so stern and never cracked a smile. I guess I caught her on a bad day. The frames were buy one get one free. one pair of glasses were only 70.00 and the other pair were only 135.00. My total was 400.00. Wow! It didn't sound like a deal to me. However it wasn't the money as much as the fact I paid 400.00 for less than top rated service. I will never buy glasses from them again. Before I need another eye exam, I will shop around and read reviews closely. I didn't go with America's Best, because of the myriad negative reviews. It was the same for Lens Crafters. I thought I'd take a chance with Vision Works, because they didn't have as many negative reviews as the rest and they are conveniently located inside Town Center mall. Now I'm forewarning anyone else whom will be in search of a place for vision care. DON'T GO TO VISION WORKS in Kennesaw, GA. You'll pay too much for glasses and receive crappy service. read more

I've gone to this location and gotten numerous glasses. My glasses are fine but as soon as I get a pair of prescription sun glasses I have issues. The lenses in them melt causing them to be blurry and unusable. You would think that sun glasses would be good in the sun but I guess not Vision works sunglasses. I have gotten prescription sunglasses in the past and never had this issue. Just felt I should let others know of my experience. read more

Excellent service! I had a few hiccups initially but the manager took care of everything! I have been coming here for years and it is good to know that they have a top notch management team that looks out for the customer when things don't go as they should. I will continue to come here. There was not one pleasant moment in my visit there. I called to schedule appointment and verify coverage. I had been there before. During my visit, I arrived 15 minutes early, and at 30 minutes past my appointment time, I was told it would be another 45 minutes before the doctor would be able to see me. I only found this out by asking. They treated me as though I nor my time mattered. read more

My husband and I have to travel from Rome to Marietta to find someone for our Eyecare needs. At Vision Works we were immediately treated like valuable people. Dr B is soft spoken and makes you less nervous. He suggested an eye mapping procedure at $30 extra. I recommend this, it showed my husband and I have a spot. Mine is from a childhood injury that had never showed up. My husband returns in a few months for a recheck. The doctor thinks it will be gone then. Both could have been very serious. The two girls that we were in contact with couldn't have been nicer. The one testing was very patient and the one taking care of our new glasses needs was never pushy and she let us choose options of our choice. I give you the highest ratings! read more

About two weeks ago I came in to Visionworks for the first time. I started a job last year staring at screens all day and as such my vision has not been on tiptop shape so I went in for an exam. I scheduled the appointment online, was 10 minutes early, and didn't get seen for an hour. I was in the exam room for a total of 4 minutes before I was back in the waiting area with my eyes dilating. Then another 4 minutes before the doc said we were done and my prescription would be at the desk. I decided to call it a day and came back the next day to pick out frames. I browsed and found a pair I was keen on after 15 or so minutes, during which no one asked if I needed assistance. I went up to the desk and said I was ready to go and the associate pointed me to a desk where I would check out. The guy that rang up my order of course strongly recommended upgrades which I turned down because these are my first pair of glasses, if I need something extra I can still get them later. He ran my card, gave me my receipt and that's that. Two weeks later and still no glasses to be seen. I've checked in multiple times, I can't have my phone on during work if they decided to call me, the most recent time being today and when I went in the guy said "they'll be ready tomorrow," which was the due-by date, "they haven't been cut yet, we'll give you a call when they're ready"... it's been two weeks and my lenses haven't even been touched? You waited until the last possible day to cut my lenses? Again, this is my first pair of glasses, and a relatively low prescription at that. My biggest peeve is through this whole experience no one was willing to offer assistance. No one explained my prescription, or explained that certain frames should fit a certain way or they will hurt after time, or even what I was paying for when I chose which options I did. I expect to feel good about a purchase and confident that I'm making a good choice and this place did little to accomplish either. I'm left confused and skeptical. Honestly I'm baffled and I doubt I will be returning after I get my glasses "tomorrow". We'll see how that goes to know for sure, but as of now I absolutely would not recommend this office. read more

My first time here. Was very disappointed. Unprofessional. I was a little late. I ask if it was ok, they said it wouldn't be a problem. So I sat there for almost 2 hour. Had 3 people that came after me get seen ASAP. We ask why they haven't got to me yet. They said I was late. I wouldn't mind rescheduling if I knew that I wasn't going to be seen asap. But instead they made me wait. Also when I set up the appointment I ask them if they took my insurance. They said yes. But when I got there they said no. Personally I think they ALL need to be on the same page. Giving customer falsified answer could really ruin someone business. So I took my business somewhere else. Not asking for special treatment. They have the worst customer service. First they don't have a restroom for their customers. Before I came in my insurance told me they had corrected the issue with this provider regarding charging me for a "fitting". When I came, they weren't sure, didn't talk to my insurance until after I came back out from the dr. After my insurance confirmed I didn't need to pay anything the rudest woman at the counter said I would have to wait until she called her corporate insurance to correct it on their end. I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for her to call corporate Visionworks. Bunch of BS. read more

Upon looking the contacts up online, per the manufacturer website AND 1800 contacts, they are monthly contacts. I have literally wasted half of my contacts due to bad instructions. I went to Visionworks last night after a less than appealing experience with the 2 pairs for $69.95 place. I was greeted by Astrid and I really did not expect the excellent service she gave me! We looked through lots of frames and none were feeling just right. Until I found THE pair. They were purple animal print and absolutely perfect. She was as excited as me! Then we found a perfect pair of sunglasses too. And the best part is I could actually afford both pair! If you ever are in need of great customer service from a vision place, go see Astrid. I received the worst customer service ever by their employee Alexis She was super rude when they scheduled my son for the wrong appointment. Her tone of voice with both my son and myself was snappy and had no patience to teach a 14 year old teenager to put on contacts for the first time. She said he had 15 mins for each eye and if he didn't get it we would need to reschedule. She proceeded to go get other patients leaving my son alone to place contacts. After seeing him struggle I decided to help him. She made rude comments about me helping and not washing my hands. But what she didn't notice was that while she was too busy with other customers i washed my hands to help my son out. I am definitely considering asking for a refund and going somewhere else. read more

Customer service was fine. Selection of frames is good. However, the amount of time I have waited for my glasses is simply ridiculous in this day and age. Are they being shipped from China? It has now been 16 days since I ordered and paid for them. I was dismayed at the original 7-10 days I was given at time of purchase as this seemed like a very long time. At this point I would be happy to have received them at 10 days after purchase. I have called the store a few times to see if they just have not contacted me after they came in. They are clearly annoyed when I call and keep saying that they will call me when the come in. Still waiting....for the price they charge vs. their competitors it is very disappointed to wait this long. I do not think I will be using Visionworks again. read more

Great service. I sat on my new glasses and bent the frames and popped out both lenses. I called the Cumberland store and told them of my issues. They said they could probably repair so I drove a hour to the store only to be told only a manager could fix and no manager on duty. This after I called!!!! So we drove to the Kennesaw store and they could not have been more helpful. Unfortunately the old frames were so bent that they couldn't be fixed so they gave me new frames at no cost. Unclean and unhygienic facility! The optician who examined my eyes and my son's eyes does not wash his hands between patients. I plan to report him to the board of health. What he is doing is very dangerous and disgusting. In addition, none of the equipment in the facility is cleaned between patients. This is a dirty and dangerous place. I used to order my contacts at this location because they would also give me the trial lenses with my order. Last time I went they told me they do not give out trial lenses when you order contacts. This was honestly the only reason to go here vs ordering through online vendors for less. The staff is rude and unfriendly. The eye doctor was nice though. I was told If I purchase a 20/20 card I would get a discount on my next order of contacts. But when I went to use it I was told it didn't apply. There glasses prices are also very expensive. This is just a retail business and the employees make it clear they don't care if you shop there or not. read more
