Absolutely disrespectful came in with my grandma because it was 100° outside and I didn't wanna leave her in the car. They didn't singularly asked me one time how I was and I was looking at a couple glasses and I was putting back ones I didn't need and everything and I was just in the process of trying to go through. I really like the selection. I'm not gonna lie. I was this close to getting one of the Kate Spade or one of the polo or one of the really expensive ones cause I was really excited to get a pair for work, but that girl with the long hair and the tan glasses whenever I asked her a simple question about the sizing in the glasses made me feel like I was absolutely stupid for needing. I think it was like a 32 or 42 size or something and they said they didn't have it and I was like oh that's OK. Can I get a custom-made and she looked at me like I was stupid And looked up and down like like are you serious? I'm taking my grandma around. I'm trying to do errands and stuff I came over here to do business with you guys because I've actually been going to this exact place since I was like maybe 15 and I'm 25 now so that's the reason why I came to this specific one, but I'm definitely not coming back. I don't know if they've changed Management or the scrub was new if it was her first day or whatever but as soon as I started to leave and I was like nope grandma we need to go then the manager came over and was like what can we do for you like it shouldn't have taken that long for somebody to be absolutely disrespectful like and give me such a bad experience and everything And I feel like she wouldn't have even came over and asked how I was doing if my grandma wasn't sitting there honestly, and I was gonna put all the glasses up, and I was trying to be as respectful as possible, and I was just gonna ask like a sweet questions stuff about the sizing because I was having a little bit of trouble because some of them were tighter than others and I was really really excited to get those Kate Spade ones with the polkadots. I was so mad But I just like I'm not gonna give my money to somebody. That's really disrespectful and she looked at me like she didn't want my service at all, so I don't know, but I'm definitely telling my family about this. Made an appointmen, running late(10 min) called them and told them. I walked in and they refused to see me (after I drove an hour and half) because I needed to be seen. I woke up and could barley see. Instead of trying to accomodate me the staff was rude to me. I went across the street where they fit me in, purchased 4 pairs of glasses for $1k and thankful they didn't get my money. I can't say enough about this place they are attentive I didn't have an appointment I just stopped in to ask for information what I got was an awesome eye exam and new badly needed glasses I couldn't be more satisfied. The whole staff is wonderful and friendly and kudos to David for getting me setup with everything. And the Doctor unfortunately I can't recall his name was absolutely fantastic best exam I have had ever. I highly recommend this location to anyone who needs their eyes taken care of. read more

After shopping around quite a bit and going through the process of getting glasses for my kids through another provider (Painful!), I broke down and decided I needed to get my first progressive lenses. These guys worked with me to get me into the glasses I wanted and I could not be happier. I think maybe the place has had a change of management because non of the bad reviews I've read here applied in anyway to my visit. Professional, accommodating and very helpful. I will be getting another pair soon as a spare. My family and I will be using this particular branch of pearl vision for all of our future eyewear needs. Great Job! read more

The doctor was very nice but the girls at the front desk were terrible. I was given contacts that irritated my eyes, which I don't blame the dr. for, but when I came back in, on my lunch break, to get them checked and get a different pair, they told me that I couldn't talk to the dr and that I would have to schedule another appointment on Saturday to get the problem addressed. My original appointment was on Monday. I'm here now and they told me that I wasn't on the schedule. Not only have I been dealing with this for nearly a week, but they charged me a $40 co-pay when I shouldn't have been charged one at all to begin with. This is the 4th time I've been here this week and I'm about fed up! Someone really should school these people on customer service. I definitely won't be back after this. read more

It took 5 follow-up visits to correct the problems with the eyeglasses their opticians made for me. I made the mistake of ordering 2 pairs of eyeglasses and 2 pairs of replacement lenses for my sunglasses frames. It was quite an investment and none of the lenses were right. Excuses all around, including "we just switched to a new company that is making our lens," etc. The lenses did not fit into the frame properly and easily popped out. An aquaintance who is an optometrist told me not to accept that. The second time I went back after trying the new glasses for 2 weeks, I was told I just needed to get used to them. I spent a lot of money there for this sub standard, poor quality workmanship and will never go back. read more

Terrible. 2:30pm appointment but not seen until almost 4pm. Two other people left because they were tired of waiting. I wish I would have listened to my gut and left as well. Doctor only did 1/2 of the exam because he was running so behind. Said I would need to come back another time for what he called "the most important part of the exam" inspecting the eye structures of the eye and evaluating the health of the eye. He asked if this was ok and I said no and I was told too bad. He tried to change my prescription from -3.25 to -2.75. I've been above -3 for several years. I was given a pair of trial contacts and told I couldn't get a prescription until I came back. So +2 hrs of as wasted Saturday and nothing to show for it. Other than I wasted my insurance benefit of one exam a year for half of an exam. I feel bad for anyone that paid for glasses or contacts with his guidance of what their prescription should be. I felt bad for the girls working the desk. They were totally embarrassed. read more

First time needing eyeglasses so I was very overwhelmed at selecting the perfect ones to fit my face. The manager in charge, who I believe has been there for several years, acted like a rude cheap car salesman trying to sell me on the most expensive car on the lot. No customer service or hospitality skills at all. Not sincere, kind, considerate, or genuine, just pushy and arrogant. Glasses are a super expensive purchase. Not everyone has insurance and can afford this out of pocket expense. Never going back to this location. Will never recommend. read more

Intimidation and rushed high pressure to purchase glasses AFTER dilation of eyes when u cannot SEE them. The person fitting my glasses was very unprofessional. The company needs to evaluate this location and hire a good manager. Will not return and will discourage others. read more

A bit pricey, but not out of the ballpark! Staff is very friendly and helpful. I went in to get a pair of glasses fixed. Was asked if I bought them there. I replied no and thought they would not help me, but she quickly and nicely fixed them for free. I ended up buying a pair of glasses from there later. I would go back. read more

Been their customer there since I was in 6th grade, and now am in my second year of college. Their products are really nice. They carry name brand products with great quality, but their new employees are extremely rude. Before they were really helpful. They would be extremely understanding and accept payments with glasses since we were never able to pay for the entire set of glasses at once, but we were loyal customers who never missed payments and were satisfied with the product, but now they do not care how long you have been purchasing products with them or how good of a customer you've been. If you do not have more than half of the cost for how many glasses you want to buy, they will treat you horribly and basically embarrass you. They are not helpful and will just say "Oh ok, well see ya!". We like the company of Pearl Vision but from now we will ONLY be going to the one in Buford. The staff in Gainesville are just extremely rude and make the customer feel horrible. read more
