Well, no matter how much money you spend in their office, if your frames aren't from their office, THEY WILL NOT ADJUST YOUR FRAMES! I spent $300 on lenses, then another $283 on contacts, and was told TWICE that they wouldn't make any adjustments to my glasses. I called a few offices in the area, they were more than willing to help out once I explained what was going on. DO BETTER!!

Advanced Eyecare Center is the place you go when you really care about how well you can see. I…read moreprefer to wear contacts rather than glasses, but as I got older, it was getting harder to see well both near and far. Other providers told me I had to manage the near and far vision by wearing a prescription in one eye that would help me see near (dominant eye) and wear a prescription in the other eye that would help me see far. it was not an ideal solution. I was finding myself using reading glasses quite often. If you've ever had to rely on reading glasses you know how big of a pain it is. You never have them when you need them. I changed providers and in walks Ann. She put in the time (and care) needed to help me find the perfect contact solution without having to compromise. I haven't reached for a pair of reading glasses since. Be prepared to spend time in the office working with her -- but believe me, the time is very well spent!!

First time I've ever written a review because nothing like that has ever happened to me. Update, I had to go back because my prescription was incorrect. Not a huge deal, it happens, but doctor Meurer was super unprofessional about me coming back (probably because I wrote this review) scoffed at me when I told him the trials weren't correct, told me "Just to be clear, you asked for these" (the contacts) and was rude to the point that I told him to just copy my prescription from my last visit at Pearle. I then had to go back no joke five times because they kept copying the prescription wrong. Now I'm out $100 and I have the same prescription as my old one because doctor Meurer made me so uncomfortable. Truly an awful experience start to finish. Would recommend Pearle in Bellevue or literally any other eye place. Never had an experience like this in my life.

Finally, Dr. Samels had a great bedside manner and gave me the most thorough and informative eye exam I've ever had. In all the years and all the eye doctors I've seen, I never knew what I'd been missing until I met Dr. Samels. He patiently explained why I now need reading glasses (even though I've had Lasix), had great tips for keeping my eyes in good shape, and let me know what I can expect as I age. Well done, Modern Eyes!

They looked it up and confirmed it. So I booked the appointment and went in, thinking everything was fine. Six months later, I get a $145 bill because apparently they don't take United Healthcare Vision... just the medical side. That was never explained to me, and they still took my insurance info and scheduled me like it was all covered. When I called to talk about it, the person on the phone literally said it's not their responsibility to know what people's plans cover. That just blew my mind. They took zero accountability and made it seem like it was all on me, even though I did everything I could to check in advance. It just feels really dishonest, and I'm super frustrated that I had to pay for something I was told was covered. Definitely not going back.
