My husband and I have been getting our glasses from Eyemart Express for the past few years, and we've consistently had wonderful experiences. The staff is always friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful. My husband has a fairly complex prescription, and they handle it beautifully every time. I usually take advantage of the two-pair deals as affordable backups since I wear contacts most of the time, and the value is excellent. What really stood out to me recently, though, was the compassion and community-mindedness of the team. They recently helped a vulnerable young person that I care deeply about. Although they don't accept Medicaid/BadgerCare, everyone was understanding, kind, and genuinely wanted to help. The manager was especially compassionate, and the opticians went above and beyond to make the experience positive and supportive. To top it off, they were able to complete one pair of glasses in just 8 minutes! You can teach customer service, but you can't teach genuine kindness and heart -- and this team clearly has both. I cannot say enough good things about this place. And the staff and doctors on the vision screening side are top notch too!! read more

I took my prescription from a very reputable optometrist to Eyemart Express in Appleton . I bought glasses and they didn't seem right so I went back to my optometrist to check my prescription and they found my glasses were made incorrect. They gave me a prescription to correct Eyemarts mistake . Eyemart Express put new lenses in my frames and they were so bad I was afraid in would fall or get into a car accident . They said they just followed the prescription. I asked for my money back , and they refunded it . Most of the people were very courteous but they've wasted much of my time and I had to make 4 trips there and I still don't have glasses . I'll never go back or recomend them to anyone, they were a complete waste of time ! read more

The store manager Tara I believe her name is She is very rude and didn't want to help. She said she would just refund our money for my husband glasses. She said she couldn't do anything else. So we said we would go down to Oshkosh one because they are willing to help my husband and get his prescription right. That can't get it right at the Appleton one. Eyemart Express Appleton WI Went here on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 9 AM in the store opened and then at 3:35 PM to pick up my cousin's glasses Are used to take my son here to the store years ago they run really good deals for new customers. I believe my cousin got $40 off a pair of glasses. Would like about the store is everybody's very friendly and helpful. If you have your prescription you just bring it in they help you pick up frames then They can get your glasses ready for you in a couple hours or less. In fact we could've gotten her glasses an hour and a half later because they are made right at the store which is really a nice way to save A lot of time and you don't have to make multiple trips if you don't live in the Appleton area. The staff is very professional and very helpful. Just walk on in with your prescription and they will get it done for you or you can have your eyes checked there I believe? They fail to tell the truth. The website says that my insurance is in network. When I went I was told that they take it, but at out of network prices. I set up the glasses and I got sticker shock. The second pair was not anywhere near free as they advertise when using insurance. I expected to pay a little bit because I upgraded the lenses, but the discount was just $50 off for the second pair. Since I didn't want to play around with going to a different provider I kept going. When done I found out that the regular set that I ordered would take 3 weeks and the second pair would be less than an hour. I spoke with the manager a few days after, they partially refunded the second pair because they couldn't make changes to the insurance pair, but I still paid a lot more than if I went to anywhere else. The advertising that they use is nearly propaganda. I will never recommend this place to anyone, even if they don't need anything a little extra. I drove over 50 miles to go here and after I was done I checked with a local chain and they are not in network either, but with the exact same order I could have saved over $150 even after the refund. They really are not the savings that they seem to advertise. read more

I ordered a pair of non-prescription sunglasses on a Tuesday and kinda figured it would take a couple hours at the most. Nope! Three days went by and I called them at 4:30 on Friday afternoon. I was told they were almost done and wouldn't you know it, 15 minutes later I get the text that they're done. Now I have to make a special trip back to Appleton on a Saturday, they're busiest day, and sit and wait. My family and I have been coming here for years and it never fails that something is messed up whether it's the wrong prescription in the frame (my wife's glasses) or given the wrong contacts or not even having the right contacts in stock. On another note, the staff is always friendly and helpful and have always righted the wrong and have a great selection of frames at reasonable prices. I guess that's why I always come back but I wish there wasn't always some kind of issue. read more

One of the best experiences for both eye exam and glasses. Went here first after I saw the selection online. Went to a few stores after that were recommended to me. I have a big face and name brands don't impress me much for the frames. These frames are cheaper than most places I've seen around here. I was looking at $109 compared to $180 and more at other places. Now I'm from LA CA and I'm used to big selection and average doctors. My exam was better then almost any doctor I've had before, even in LA. I opted for the extra $22 exam. I have pretty good insurance. I was surprised with the selection for my width of face. Most places has 1 or pairs that would do me pretty good or 5 if I was lucky. I think I counted over 10 and maybe as many as 20 that could fit the bill nicely, for regular glasses. Now I have to say the safety glasses selection was disappointing for the display. Think they had a total of like 10 goggle style and another 20 regular with side covers. Yet they can order other frames you want like Liberty Sports. But turns out my employer doesn't cover for Eye Mart so I had to go elsewhere. Compared to other places the frame had to stretch ¹/ in to fit my face. Now this was difficult on its own in LA to find this kind of selection. Then the icing on the cake a extra set of glasses at minimal charge. Wow! I think Megan was the lady that helped me, I could be wrong on the name. I was impressed with her knowledge and her way of explaining the differences even with the more difficult questions that I was asking. I can't wait to see what my order looks like. I will be back to use both the doctors next door and the Eye Mart again. If you haven't checked this place out for glasses and the doctors next door, I think your missing out on one of the best places for glasses on the cheapest budget bang for the buck. read more

I needed single vision glasses for the first time at 56. They were very friendly and Bridget was very helpful. She seemed new but provided me great service and asked others what she didn't know. When I was checking out she looked at my e-mail address, asked if I was a teacher and gave me an additional teacher discount. My frames were half price, I got a second pair of complete glasses for $10. My two pair of glasses and lens cleaner came to $99.00. They made them faster than 1 hour, I believe it took 40 minutes on a busy Saturday. They even texted me when they were done. I'm a very satisfied customer. read more

I've worn glasses since 6th grade and have never been so disappointed with the process of getting my glasses than I've been at the EyeMart in Appleton, WI. I ordered my glasses on November 9th and thankfully it came in a week! However, they messed up my lenses so I couldn't see right and the lenses were very distorted. They had to reordered my lenses and said it should come in two weeks; they promised it would arrived by December 1st. It's now December 6th and I'm STILL waiting on my glasses. I called to asked and the associate was not helpful at all. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but I've been waiting for almost 4 weeks and my current glasses is falling apart. I need to see and EyeMart is making my life really difficult right now without my new glasses. I'm just so disappointed in the level of customer service and quality when they have a lab on site and promise for speedy service and I've experienced nothing but the total opposite. The eye doctor wrote me a BAD RX here and neither he nor Eyemart Express would stand behind it. The office manager for the eye doctor was rude, as was the manager at Eyemart Express. I paid for the eye exam and ordered my glasses from Zenni Optical online. I couldn't get adjusted to the glasses and brought them back to have them tested to see if they were made wrong and Eyemart themselves said they were made correctly. I then had another exam and the eye doctor gave me a different RX, stating I "was lucky the second exam was free" even though I paid for a service that I never got and then bought glasses with a bad RX . Needless to say, I was able to get another pair through Zenni with a pair of RX goggles and still paid less than 1/2 of what Eyemart wanted for one pair of glasses. My biggest gripe is that they wouldn't stand behind the error that was made. Also, they were very rude when I asked for a refund. This transpired within six weeks of the original eye exam, so my RX didn't change. Terrible experience all around with Eyemart. Zenni Optical is great for ordering glasses online, though. read more
