First let me say this, I've been coming here the last 2 years. The first year it was a great experience...
Fast forward 2 years later:
1. Visit one: I go in to see if I could be seen that day for an eye exam and to also get pricing on a new pair of glasses, exam cost, etc. The young guy told me I could be seen that next week. As far as pricing, he was very dry with giving me details. I had to ask probing questions in order to get detailed answers. I specifically told him, I should be in their system but it was like he ignored what I said and continued being dry. So I left.
2. Second visit: I go inside and guess who is helping me? The young guy. I missed my appointment and asked if I could reschedule he said sure. He made a new appointment and then I asked for pricing again and told him I have insurance and that I should be in their system. He redeemed himself. He actually gave me detailed pricing and wrote them down for me to have and he seemed friendlier that day.
3. Third Visit (Next day): I went inside and a young girl helped me. She was friendly and took my info as I waited for the Doctor. I got called back and the doctor is always nice but he seems like he is so rushy and act as if asking questions is annoying him. They told me my glasses would be in 5-10 business days and I went on about my day!
4. Fourth & Last visit: I went to pick up my glasses, the young girl asked me to try them on to make sure they fit well. Obviously, they were loose. Very loose, so her and the office manager (older lady) went into the lab and tighten them up. The young girl brought them back and I tried them on again and told the girl they're still loose. So the office manager chimes in and says, do they slide off your face if you bend down. I done it once and told her a little. Done it again and told her they're STILL a little loose. She then says well, you can always come back and we can tighten them.
Wow! If I said they're still loose, the professional and right thing to do would be to apologize and take them back and tighten them again. I mean, I did pay my hard earned money for them. It's the least they could have done. Instead, they allowed me to walk out of their store with glasses that I said we're still a tad bit loose.
Whether they are a tad bit loose or a lot loose, if a customer is not exactly satisfied, try your best to satisfy them, especially when you have the tools to fix it.
I said all this to say, next year I will be finding and going to a private practitioner. Pearle Vision won't get another dime or dollar from me. The office manager is so unfriendly. She never greets you when you come in. She sits at that counter and stares. At least say hi. But no worries, I won't be back next year! What a way to lose a loyal customer! So long, Pearle Vision!
Fyi: I only gave a 3-star because of the friendly doctor and combining my overall experience over the last 2 years. Had this been a very first visit, it would have been a 2-star! read more
