I recently moved to Lubbock and this is the 5th or 6th nail salon I tried after several disappointing experiences. I get gel pedicures and dip manicures, usually at the same time. I was just in a different salon 1.5 weeks ago so did not need a pedicure yet- unfortunately the previous salon who did my nails did a poor job and all of the dip popped off of my nails because they did not base or cure them properly so I needed my nails done way too early. Peter did my dip manicure and this is by far the best dip manicure I've ever had! He was meticulous about every step of the process and I am so happy with the results! After having the worst experience of my life at another place in Lubbock I was scared to try anywhere for several months. I'm getting ready for my bachelorette trip and REALLY wanted to have amazing nails for it- I searched through Yelp and luckily came across Spa Nails. David, the owner stayed late to squeeze me in when I called after work and he absolutely SLAYED THE GAME he also didn't dip, he's super professional and hygienic and uses a brush instead like old school acrylic style, and he's truly an expert. Hi! I'm not one to leave negative reviews but this was a bit overboard. To start, I had tips that needed to be removed- I sat in pure acetone for 30 minutes straight. The result of this left me with burning, highly irritated, & dry hands (my skin is already beginning to peel). I had two different employees do my nails and combined they nicked my fingers 4-5 times. Lastly, I asked for the new dip to be put on my natural nails as is (my nails have a natural shape that I love) but instead, the guy cut my nails extremely short and filed them into a different shape completely. The dip also doesn't cover the entirety of my nails on several of them. Only positive is the nail color selection & how the color turned out. read more

She was thorough and did a great job. Lee worked with my wife. Lee also did a fantastic job. We liked their work so much that we upgraded to include our hands. I paid a lot of money for not great service. I saw the owners working on nails that looked really good - I think if you get one of the owners it might be better but I will not go back. read more

I went to this nail saloon and got the worse service ever! It was very busy and they did not take there time. The guy that started my pedicure did not finish because he was hurting me during the foot rub. Dude you didn't know what is going on with people physicall! so you decided to pull on my toes?! So then when his colleague took over for him, I pointed out that my nail was chipped by the first guy. After paint my nails is when he decided to fix the chip. So now the paint is jacked they didn't finish the pedicure and then tried to argue about there prices when the menus that they handed my mother and I wasn't marked with the correct prices. The lady that did my nails was nice to talk to, bu she did such a poor job. Terrible and expensive job. Do not waste your time there. I asked the lady to make it even and she gave me attitude. So frustrated with the employee turnover and quality - the decent employees like Vicki (owner), Kathy and Kim are always on "vacation" which likely means they're MIA for a year or more and the quality has gotten worse every time I have gone the last 4 weeks. My nail polish starts chipping the next day, so I always end up painting my nails at home and then it lasts for a week! I am also blown away by the good reviews for David (Vicki's husband.) He is the absolute worst technician they have there and is creepy AF. My friends and I will walk out before we let him do our nails. And make sure you pay attention when you checkout, they will often try to charge more than the prices listed in the book and apologize when we correct them on the dollar amount. After trying to over charge us again last week we will not be going back. read more

Customer service was wonderful.. although the quality was terrible. It was a nice experience but I probably won't be returning. I noticed a few days after that the clear coat over my dipped nails was rubbing off and when I took a closer look they were actually even cracking throughout the nail. Typically my manicures can last 3-4 weeks, sadly it's been roughly 2 weeks and they are breaking, brittle, dull, and cracked. If you decide to go Kathy is very sweet and has great customer service.
