I wish I could give zero stars. I have many bad experiences with this dealer....i could go on and on but the service department really takes the taco. I was totally ripped off on a new tire. I was charged $410 for a run flat tire that turns out is actually at $176 dollar tire (tire rack.com). The EXACT SAME TIRE! On top of paying more than double what the tire is worth they charged an additional $130 for "mounting & tire disposal fee". I feel like such a fool for letting them do this to me. Mr. Don Johnson sole us the car, over the internet and phone. What a joke! I was there for an 8 AM service appointment that was supposed to take an hour. I walked out the door after 1 PM (the invoice was printed at 1:11 PM). 5 hours of my life WASTED, dealing with incompetent and rude employees... and to top it off, they didn't even finish completing everything I had requested! I really do like my BMW, but my experience at Peake was truly deplorable. I regret purchasing a BMW now, because Peake is the closest dealership to where I live, and I wanted to have what I thought was a reputable dealership look at it... but I refuse to step a foot back in that place again. I never write negative reviews, ever, and in fact this is the first negative one I write... but I really don't want anybody else to have the experience I did, especially when it comes to a significant financial investment like purchasing or servicing a vehicle, and I feel like I'd be doing an injustice if I didn't share my experience with the public. read more

Absolutely terrible service. I have leased two cars from here for the past 7 years and will NEVER do it again. The customer service is the WORST. Six months ago they charged me $60 to "fix" my park assist sonar - when I got the paperwork it said they "plugged sonar in." $60 TO PLUG IT IN?! Ironically I had just been there the prior week to have some bumper work done... so I think they "forgot" to plug it in and then charged me another $60. Fast forward to this month - my lease is up. I went in to do the lease inspection before returning it and they told me I needed to replace the windshield and get a new rear tire. Total cost at BMW = $900+. So I went elsewhere to replace the windshield ($300) and bought the tire online ($160). I asked BMW if they would mount it because I didnt want to drive the car somewhere else or have it towed. They said they would "take care of it." Great! Brought it in, picked it up an hour later, no charge. They handed me the keys and off I went. This week I decided not to renew with BMW. I advised BMW on Monday. Low and behold today I got a call saying I owed them $60 for the tire mounting... SO SHADY! Richie (service guy) SWORE he had no idea I wasn't renewing my lease, but the timing is suspicious. You're telling me you make it a habit to let people just take their cars and walk out without paying? Sure. I will never go to Peake BMW again. I will literally drive to any other dealership just so I never have to give them a penny of my money again. read more

Terrible! The service people here are not focused and do not communicate well if at all. Expect to be here all day. My last visit, dropped my car off at 8 am for routine maintenance, it wasn't done until 6pm. My customer service person left before the work was complete and sent the shuttle driver to East New Orleans to pick me up meanwhile, I was dropped off in Harahan (where I live and work). Next visit, I reluctantly reserved a loaner, arrived at Peake to find they decided NOT to give out loaners for the day and offered me a rental instead....aargh. If that wasn't bad enough my service person forgot to call the rental company for pickup despite me asking twice and being told "they're on the way" during my :45 wait (Enterprise is about 2 blocks down the street). Awful! I expected the same level of service I got at Momentum BMW in Houston...this is a far cry. Considering there's no competition in town I'm sure they could care less. I will NEVER bring my car back to this place. Unless you have time to waste you'll be better off driving to Baton Rouge! read more

I recently bought a used BMW x5 diesel from Peake Preowned. The car had a few small items that needed a little attention, but the vehicle was priced very well. Had it been a CPO BMW these things would have been fixed, but the price wouled have been much higher. I worked with Jose, and he was extremely helpful and honest. He did an outstanding job of representing the car fairly, getting the car prepped/ready, and taking care of a long list of small but meaningful details for me when I came in to pick up the car. This included a run down to the Peake BMW dealer where Jose go the head service tech to help out with this car. The sales manager at Peake Preowned was also a great guy. He didn't try to up-sell me on useless services nor did he try to tack on dubious charges for prep and paperwork. He was clear and upfront about everything, and I thought he was the most honest used car sales manager I've ever dealt with. Overall, I have to say Jose and the other guys at Peake Preowned are really the cream of the crop when it comes to used car sales. Although Peake is a long ways away from where I live, I will go back the next time I need another used BMW or Mercedes. read more

My main concern is that everyone who reads this is going to think I am being dramatic but I assure you I am not. Previous bmw owner and I was looking to purchase or lease the next one. When I asked for pertinent information, it seemed to fall on deaf or bewildered ears. Why would someone who is about to lease a car ask about the "money factor" on the lease.......right? Don't all people just take what ever the highest interest rate is? No, bc we are intelligent hard working people buying a high end well made vehicle. I just want to be able to understand the entire equation so that I can come up with the same answer they are. Moving on, they are in no rush to move anything along. Seems the salesmen have no ability to make any decisions regardless of how simple they are. Every single thing must be run by a manager. And don't expect to look at a car you choose quickly. They are spread out over 6 lots with in 10 minutes of the main dealership. They are priced higher than BR and Gulfport Mississippi dealerships. Do your homework and don't let these unorganized, unprepared, overpriced fellas take your hard earned money. read more

I really don't understand how BMW USA doesn't do something to this dealership. Since I have owned my BMW I have had several issues, the last of which compelled me to drive down the street and trade in my car on a Lexus. It wasn't the cars problems that made this happen but the dealer. I brought it in for a coolant leak and they said it was the water pump. 1400 bucks. I asked did that come with a warranty and they said yes- 2 years. I said "great, because I just paid 1400 bucks for that 10 months ago. " The service advisor was caught off guard, as she didn't know this I guess but she looked it up and agreed it would be replaced for free ( no explanation as to why my 10 month old pump would have failed). She then called me back 14 minutes later to tell me some MORE stuff they found wrong with my car. One of the things they recommended was that I flush my brake line. I asked her how often should I do this and she said every 2 years. I said, "well, I did that 15 months ago, why should I do it 9 months early?" She had no answer. I just don't trust this dealership and they are the only dealership in town so they made me get rid of a car I loved because I couldn't stand the idea of going back there. Please notice how they never reply to any of the reviews. If they cared, wouldn't they say something? The few positive reviews they do have mostly come from new car purchasers. I feel sorry for those people when they need to return for service. read more

Where do i start.....This was the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. I brought my car in to get fixed and they charged me $330 to reprogram it even though it had only 28,000 miles on it and was two months out of warranty. Well, a week later I had more serious problems with it and had to get it towed there. They originally said one injector was faulty and it would be $900, then they called the next day saying they need to replace all of them and the spark plugs for over $3,000 which sounded sketchy so i called them out on their BS. The next day they called back saying it just LOOKED like they all needed to be replaced but they will just replace one for $900. So I called corporate and they contacted peake BMW and I received a call back from the dealership saying it would only cost $98.97. On top of that they said it would be a week and a half wait if I wanted to rent a vehicle from them while mine was being worked on but when I went to pick up the car after the repairs they had SIX courtesy vehicles there not being used! DO NOT GO TIMO THIS DEALERSHIP FOR ANY REASON!!! read more

I cannot describe how happy my wife and I are with our choice to lease a BMW from Peake. We recently relocated to New Orleans and were in search of a suitable vehicle. After visiting several dealerships and spending countless hours online, we decided to go with Peake because of the people who worked with us. From Heather to Julio to Rolan, everyone was so helpful. They far outshone any other attempt that was made to gain our business. In the end, leasing a BMW was only a little more per month than we had originally planned on spending, however the extra expense is far outweighed by the feeling that we now have "family" who care about us and will do their utmost to keep us as satisfied customers. Overall, have been very happy with Peake BMW. Had my 2008 128i serviced there (car was orig purchased from Peake, i bought it used in jun 2012). I had an air bag problem with the 128i (outside of warranty). The car had had 2 prior warranty claims on the airbag. Peake put in a complete new ait bag wiring harness, about $1000. No charge to me. I bought a new 2015 228i in Jan 2015 from Peake, was happy with the sales group, decent discount off list. Very limited supply, was only able to drive an M235i. Needed to order the 228i without having ever driving one. Have 18,500 miles on it now. Zero problems with Peake, and it's a great car. Only problem so far is some water got into one of the headlights. Have been very happy with Peake - sales and service. Has been a pleasure dong business with them. read more

I had recently lost my BMW key and went to go order a new one from Peake BMW in Kenner, Louisiana. The key did not work so they ordered a second one. The second one did not work so they ordered a third one. Now they are saying that it is the control panel that has to be switched out. BUT if i found my lost keys then it would work with my current control panel. So peake bmw is making me pay $1053 for a new control panel that comes with new keys AND to top it off they won't reimburse me for the new keys that I just paid for!! How does it make it any sense to not refund me for a set of keys that doesn't work and making me pay for a whole new control panel plus new keys. Isn't it their job to make my key work? Also, they won't explain to me why my new key won't work with my current control panel, they just said "we don't know". I don't mind paying money for service received, but they didn't do anything for me! They basically just charged me for a key that doesn't work and making me pay for a new set of keys with control panel without any explanations b/c they simply do not know what the cause is.. My sister has a 6 series and they wanted to overcharge her so she took it to the one Baton Rouge instead. I took mine to Houston BMW and the service was excellent, but the one in Kenner always want to charge me for something more. I don't understand this. I would never ever go to Peake BMW because their service is horrible but considering I lost my keys, I had no choice but to tow it there AND of course there would be trouble. I love my bmw car but never would i recommend peake bmw as the dealership to buy your car, please take my advice and DO NOT go there. I found a used vehicle on Cars.com and went by to take a look. I was approached by a very polite and knowledgable salesman named Aaron. He was able to tell me everything I needed to know about the vehicle, even though it was not a BMW. He was able to get me the terms I was looking for and we were able to close the sale the next day. All in all a very smooth experience and very little pressure to buy, unlike what you run into at other dealers. I always thought that BMW was a luxury brand. My partner and I were so disappointed in the appearance and inventory available at Peake BMW. There was ONE X3 on the lot which is the car I was looking for. The salesperson tried to sell me on the more expensive X5 and a couple used ones at that. We left the dealership around lunch time, bee-lined it to Audi of New Orleans, and purchased an Audi Q5. A dealership must have adequate inventory to show their customers. I am the type of buyer that likes to go in and buy the same day. I do not want to wait for weeks to recieve a vehicle. Audi is a true luxury experience here in New Orleans. read more

This place is terrible. They try to hard sell you what is on the lot (which has nothing but fully loaded vehicles) and make no effort to get you what you want/need. Oh and don't bother bringing your car there to be serviced unless you buy it from them. You will be treated like a second class citizen. We live in Lucedale, MS and were on our way to New Orleans for the weekend. We started having engine trouble on the highway about 45 min from the quarter. I called ahead to Peake to let them know we were coming. They offered to send a tow truck but we declined. They gave great directions over the phone. When we arrived we were promptly checked in and after asking they shuttled us to our hotel. Thankfully it was an ignition coil and was able to be fixed in time for us to drive home on Sunday. I was there 2 days ago for a recall job on airbag on my '01 330i. I have courteous and professional treatment from the lady who attended to me. But as soon as I reached home (18 mile drive), the dashboard lit up : Service Engine Soon", and the orange warning on the transmission also lit up. Are these coincidences or service did something and they are inviting me back? Will they really "intentionally" do something to get my car back to the service shop? I don't believe that they will stoop that low to get business; or do they? Prove me wrong Peake BMW!. read more

We moved here from Dallas with our 5 series BMW. We were used to a beautiful, clean dealership with top notch service. My husband has owned several BMWs and is an avid fan of the cars. After 11 months of Peake BMWs sub-par service and dealership --- my husband traded in his beloved car at a Lexus dealership and bought a BRAND NEW LEXUS! This week was the final straw for him. First, you call them and you get to LEAVE A MESSAGE TO SPEND MONEY. What high end dealership doesn't even have a PERSON TO SET UP YOUR APPOINTMENT?!?! These clowns, that's who. Next, my husband's car was shaking and making loud noises. He wanted to get it in ASAP. After a return call -- hours later, we were told that they couldn't even bother to look at our car for a week. Yes, January 2nd. I told the guy on the phone that I doubted the care would make it that long and he said, "Sorry." A real BMW dealership would have got it in --- and guess what -- my husband really wanted to assess the damage and then buy a new BMW. However, he was so pissed at how Peake dealt with us these last 11 months and their lack of caring that he went to Lexus. I am absolutely THRILLED to never step foot in that dump of a dealership again. They need training from a dealerships outside the area, BMW needs to really inspect the place. This is the worst dealership service department I have ever experienced! I've had my 2011 5-series for 7 months. This is the 3rd time I've brought it in. The 1st time, check-in was fine. They gave me a ride home and came back to pick me up 2-1/2 hours after they called and said they were on the way! I missed a very important meeting. I called the dealership 3 times asking when someone would be there. There was no apology or even acknowledgement of what had happened. When I got there, they told me my front light had gone out and they fixed it -- aother $86 that they told me about when I picked up the car. I emailed Martin Peake to tell him about my experience. He assured me he would look into the matter. The new service manager contacted me and said he was working to improve things. (Guess he hasn't had any luck with that bunch!) The next time, I asked about a loaner car. I was told they didn't have one. No one offered this service to me during any of my visits. I scheduled the third visit online and requested a loaner car. I got an appointment a week later. Upon confirmation of my appointment, I inquired to verify that I would have a loaner car. They said they did not have a request from me and would not have a car available until the following week. The attitude from the staff on the phone is terrible. I drove to Lafayette, LA from New Orleans to purchase the car because they only had 2 cars in stock, with a lot of ads running for BMW's Certified Used Car Campaign. And they are the only BMW dealership in the New Orleans area. While I love the car, I am seriously considering trading it in and getting another brand. I always heard that the service at luxury car dealerships was excellent. Well Not at Peak BMW. read more

This dealership is an embarrassment to the BMW brand. In addition to what others have said about their inability to maintain a great car, I believe that they have damaged my car and been dishonest. I've been in Louisiana for 2 years, and the first time I've ever had any issue was after they touched it. I was told, patronizingly, "We'll take good care of you." As if that's all a woman needs to hear and then she'll calm down. Uch. I've brought my car in for various problems, and they don't believe me...do they think I want to hang out in their shabby, dirty waiting room? They have the mechanic ride with me, who verifies the problem. A week later upon picking it up, it's doing the same thing. A week later, it's doing the reverse and I have to go in again. They sold me a warranty extension and then find things to do to the car that are not covered by the warranty. Plus, the people in the shop are rude. I was waiting for the loaner - "It'll be here in 10 minutes." 40 minutes later, sitting in that awful waiting area with its Dollar Store snacks, no one has checked in with me. I go to the desks. "Can you call and see if the car is on its way? If it's not, can you drive me over there?" The car is not on its way, someone has to drive me. The guy throws the keys to one of the young techs standing around. No one moves. He says, "They're drawing straws to see who has to drive you." This you say to a customer who's already pissed? I said to the kid holding the keys and lounging against the door sill, "Are you taking me? Let's go!" They all roll their eyes and start to laugh. I don't see how BMW allows this dealership to represent the brand. If I were the owner, I'd be so embarrassed and ashamed. I'm now going to try Baton Rouge, and after that, Houston if I have to. I bought a 2012 528i from this dealership 3 weeks ago that I am just now finding out from a different BMW dealership has hail damage. It was evening when I purchased the vehicle, so all the little dents were not easily visible. I did notice a few small dents and asked a salesman and the finance manager if the vehicle had hail damage. On both occasions I was told no. The finance manager even told me that hail damage had to be disclosed in the paperwork if that were the case. I called the sales manager today to inquire about this discovery and he was immediately defensive and blamed me for purchasing a car with hail damage. He even asked what difference it made for the car to have hail damage. The gall of this guy! I asked what could be done about them withholding this information when asked and not being upfront about it to begin with. He stated nothing because there is not a law that states they must disclose hail damage. You would think a BMW dealership would have more integrity than this. Bad business practices at Peake BMW! @Manhattan NY- I totally agree with you. Especially the service manager. I took my car there because I have a clear coat issue. The service manager RANDY and paint rep. ERIC basically told me screw you in a nice way. I've been doing quite a bit of research on this issue and there is definitely a trend even with cars that are garage kept. I'm not asking for a free bee, just a little assistance on this matter. Both of these JERKS turned a deaf ear to me. I have all my warranty work done at Peake, but never again. I'll only go there if I'm forced to. I know a very honest, trustworthy, and helpful mechanic shop in Kenner that would gladly take ALL my warranty work. @ the service manager- If you think I'm full of CRAP about these trends, go to the BMW forum on clear coat issues. But then again you probably already know that !!!! That just goes to show you do not care about taking care of the customer needs. read more
