The selling process that CarMax has is great, very straightforward and easy. I would always consider them if I ever have another car to sell. I sold my Benz to this location and bought a 2019 BMW 530i at this location. The BMW upon the test drive and initial look of it seemed in good condition, 1 previous owner, low miles etc so we decided to move forward with the purchase. THANK GOD they have a great 90-day/4,000 mile warranty upon purchasing any car from CarMax because come to find out after taking my car to the BMW dealer there was $11,000 worth of issues with this car. The most dangerous one was that there were 2 faulty ENGINE MOUNTS!!!! Now CarMax claims they do an 120 point inspection on every single car prior to putting them on the showroom floor and it obviously was not the truth with this car. There were so many huge issues with this car that it was dangerous to drive upon purchase. But it was sold anyway. I had to take off work to come bring the car back and I had to get a loaner car from them to drive while this car was being serviced. The first car they offered me was dirty in the interior and needed an oil change. I had to point out the obvious "oil change needed" light that came on upon almost driving that car off their lot. They apologized and gave me another better car. They had my BMW FOR 3 WEEKS. Finally got my car back and STILL one error message is coming up on my dashboard and I had to again take time out of my day to take the car BACK up there for them to let me sit there for an hour - to say that they were able to fix it... got in the car - STILL NOT FIXED. Now I have to go BACK TO BMW.... Waiting on that appointment this week. I will say that the service rep Mia and the Manager Jay were and are both very nice and helpful and are doing their best to resolve the situation but CarMax really disappointed me and put me in a position to drive a dangerous car which should've never happened.

They let me take 2 cars to a mechanic shop for a Pre Purchase Inspection, which not many used car dealer permit since they always give excuses to force people to purchase a car... But they did provide permission to perform a PPI on the cars I was interested in. Sadly I didn't make a purchase of any because of personal issues, but their honesty and transparency gave them a good look.

This false sale affected my credit when I went to a reputable dealer and made an actual purchase, and while I'm paying Enterprise's 9% loan with a subprime lender for my imaginary car, Audi on Causeway gave me 6% with my bank. Glass is broken and door sensors are broken and the check engine light is on obviously, he they're all just saying whatever. Everyone is swearing the car is fine, but obviously it's not. So I go back to the office to wait on my ride. The lady tells me there's a car place up the street with good cars I should check out. I haul myself, my 9mo old and my heavy car seat all the way down this super busy street and the place she sent me to was all huge work trucks and way out of my price range ... not at all what I was looking for. She obviously just wanted me gone. So I walk back over cause my ride is still coming and I wait out front in the rain with my baby and my car seat. I guess they got upset seeing me out there cause they closed all the blinds on the side of the building I was standing on. Anyways, these cars are auction cars that they are just cleaning and reselling, they don't even fix anything, they're rude and they lie. If that's what you're into then this is the place for you.
