Extreme disappointment regarding the quality and installation of the 18 Simonton windows I…read morepurchased from JDI. The overall product quality is unsatisfactory, and the installation was subpar. I continue to experience drafts and excessive noise through all the windows. The amount of noise I receive from planes (I live nowhere near an airport) and cars is crazy; it was never like this with my old builder grade windows. Furthermore, the caulking is very sloppy. The owner said he was ok with the work and threatened to place a lien on my property the day after the windows were installed if I didn't pay, even though I was not satisfied. Following the owner's suggestion, I completed a Home Energy Audit. I have attached a few photos from that audit which clearly demonstrate significant temperature differences. I have also attached videos demonstrating the air leakage using a fog machine.(I can't attach all the pictures and videos I have and would be happy to share) After I called the troubleshooter radio show, the owner sent a crew to insulate three of the windows that I felt were the worst (which helped a little). I was then asked to pay for the insulation of the remaining windows. It is unclear why new windows would be installed without proper spray foam insulation in the first place. Additionally, two of the windows still do not close or lock correctly, even after the sashes were replaced twice. Given my significant investment, this has been a regrettable experience.

They were honest and upfront with the products and techniques they use making it easy to research the product value. I sent over a few pics and measurements for our 16 windows needing replacements and received a solid estimate for install! Pre measure and install was a breeze, and payment even easier! We were working through an energy grant from our city and Zen was happy to comply with all the permits and evaluations required for install! Not only have we seen an immediate change in our energy bills and had great delight in the esthetic and practicality of our new windows, but 9 months later we noticed a slight issue with one of the windows. Literally within the day of sending Zen an email about the issue, they had technicians out that afternoon to thoroughly assess and fix the problem, FREE OF CHARGE! We countersued at the same time replacing and fixing MULTIPLE things in the kitchen that were done less than poorly. We of course won in court.
