My partner and I have been coming here for many years. Chuck and his crew have been consistently responsive, knowledgeable, and efficient. Customer service is some of the best I've seen anywhere. These folk know their business and do quality work and really take care of their customers. Even the snacks in the waiting room are a cut above. Repairs are expensive but they communicate clearly and do excellent work. They'll fix whatever needs fixing for a fair price with quality parts and service. Their prices are competitive. Great place. I was concerned that Todd had sold the business until Al, the new owner, performed our first service. He is great! His father had an auto repair shop back east and Al literally grew up working on cars. He has six kids and I only hope one of them takes over the shop when Al is done. Al did a minor service for us and repaired the dead coolant temperature gauge. The sender was bad and Al tried a dozen new ones (same part number) before he found one that he liked. It put the needle of the gauge dead center in the middle when the motor was fully warm. This took a couple of hours and he didn't even charge us for the extra time..."couldn't. That would not be right." Al gets all our future service work! read more

So far so good with Al the new owner. After my first normal service and some much-needed new tires with him, the TPMS light on my Honda decided to go on hours later. Al immediately told me to come back without hesitation and went above and beyond to personally remedy this issue. We've been using Todd (previous owner) and Andrew over the years and had excellent service and trust. Never pressured to do any unnecessary service like many dealers we have worked with in the tri-county area. I don't even know where to begin. Initially our impression is that we were taking our truck to a really good place we were referred there by our family member. We took it in for what we presumed was a bad heatercore. After the inspection of the truck they found that it was not the heatercore, but an a/c condensor that was leaking. Problem was solved by removing the line to a/c as it was not needed for our drive to WA (it is after all January). We thought that was pretty cool that he didn't just screw us by telling us we needed the full heatercore replaced....seemed very honest. Anyhow because we had just drove from FL they suggested an oil change & 95k service, which included a tire rotation. We allowed them to do it thinking it not a bad idea before we start our trek through mountains in the middle of winter. He preached about how they inspected this and that and blah blah blah (Todd the owner is a real talker and likes to toot his own horn). Tuesday evening we picked up the truck drove it 5 minutes and parked it at our relatives house. The next morning we left for the remaining leg of our trip to WA, 3 hours into our trip....things got ugly. We were driving North on I-5 at 75mph, we were in the passing lane going by a large oversize loaded semi then all of a sudden BOOM, we heard a loud noise. The truck fish taled one way, jump up on 2 wheels, fishtaled another way at which time we could see the semi headed straight toward us with his brake locked up and a plume of smoke and our truck parts flying across the road. During all this we lost our brake line and had no brakes....it took us a 1/4mi. to stop because of the loss of brakes. We are so very lucky to be alive right now. This very easily could have been struck by the semi or flipped over through the median into on coming traffic that was going 75mph+. Thank God my husband was able to safely get us to the side of the road. The truck and pilot car stopped to make sure we were OK, they couldn't believe my husband was able to save the truck. First thing I said when I saw that the wheel came off was those people at TRs (aka Peak Perfomance). We called immediately and Todd told us to get the car to a repair shop and call him with the estimate. When we got the estimate the following day we called Todd back & told him the bill (not including the damage to the rear quarter panel, a tire and wheel as we were not able to locate a 5 lug nut wheel anywhere in the vacininty) was a little over $1k, plus 2 nights in a motel at $70/night. This estimate was much much lower than we predicted & I am certain wayyy less than what he would have charged for the same job & definately much less than the cost of 2 funerals and a lawsuit. When we called him back started to act like there was no fault on his end. He then told us one of two scenarios: 1.) That the neighborhood our family member lived in was a bad area and that someone was probably trying to steal our wheels and tires (very likely on '96 stock Dodge Ram, NOT. The neighborhood is a very nice neighborhood filled with tons of really nice cars, pretty sure they aren't going after our truck's stock wheels). 2.) He told us how does he not know that we didn't loosen our own lugnuts (right, we wanted to die, so we thought we would loosen all the lug nuts on the truck and drive down I-5 @ 75mph). Oh, and did I mention that when we got the truck to the repair shop the attendand found that EVERY lug nut on EVERY tire was loose? Well "Mr. Talk" offered us a measly $500 providing we faxed him a gazillion things. We refuse to accept an offer that does not cover the entire tab as his company is liable. We will soon be filling a complaint with the BBB. BOTTOM LINE: Don't trust this guys talk, he says he backs his work and definitely does not. Stay away, far far away..... read more

Todd and Stephen are always so great and professional. I just took a Jeep in that hadn't been driven in almost a year. Needless to say, it needed a whole lot of work. Since I can't afford to make the car like new, they did only what was absolutely necessary to make the Jeep safe to drive again. No one tried to sell me anything extra (unlike Pep Boys and Sears). Todd has years and years of experience (my family has been going to him since I was a little girl) and he is very logical and keeps you updated on the whole process. I really appreciate that. This place is a complete rip off. My husband and I brought our car in to them for some minor repairs and after 6 days in their facility, the car was worse off than when we brought it in. My husband found tools stuck in the engine compartment and the oil cap was left off and the entire engine was covered in oil. They refused to accept responsibility and one of the owner's (at least he said he was the owner, Todd? I think) even accused us of intentionally removing the oil cap. DO NOT take your car to TR's auto as they will rip you off. read more
