While there were a few somewhat questionable and seemingly unprofessional business practices, the one that finally caused us to need to end our relationship with Pam was when a minor disagreement over invoicing (I had received my invoice less than 24 hours before it was due, with a $10 per day late fee being applied there after, and had asked if it was possible for invoices to be sent out a bit earlier in the future), ended with Pam coming to my home with her husband and verbally accosting me in the lobby of my building. As a small business owner myself, I don't take negative reviews lightly. That said, I've never really experienced such unprofessional conduct and never would have imagined a business conflict escalating to the point of bullying and intimidating someone in their home.

To top it off, I knew I would be moving to Vancouver soon, so I only needed a dog walker for a few months. I spoke to quite a few dog walkers before finding Katherine: one wouldn't take Kira because she was a puppy and he said he "didn't want to deal with a puppy if it was only a three month commitment" while others I just got bad vibes from. When I spoke to Katherine though, I immediately felt at ease. Even though I was outside of her area, she still agreed to meet us. Kira instantly fell in love with Katherine and I loved that Katherine actually spent time with us. She wasn't rushed and really got to know us. I got a good vibe and decided to go with her. I asked her to send me pictures of Kira on her walks and give me updates on her (paranoid dog mom over here!) which she did with no issues. I love how patient Katherine was with Kira. Kira used to cause a scene when leaving the park (which she has fortunately grown out of): when it was time to leave, she would start barking and run around Katherine. Instead of Katherine giving up on her, she would bring a toy to distract Kira with which would get her safely and happily out of the park. She also always had a bottle of water with her and made sure Kira was hydrated. Her patience, care, and love for my dog was everything I wanted in a dog walker. I would highly recommend The Pawsitive Companion to anyone. I'm happy to say that Katherine and I still keep in touch, and if we ever move back to Toronto, she'll definitely be Kira's forever dog walker.

I haven't been able to go to this location in person but through the series of emails back and forth with placing an order, the workers are amazing people! Even though the times of the quarantine for the covid-19 virus, their still willing to deliver all the pets products to people homes. They accidentally over charged me as I would have never even noticed but when they arrived at my door, they told me that they over charged me and that they threw in a few extra things into the delivery. The workers are honest people and very professional. I also usually order a particular brand that I recently found out that was only sold at Pet Value but they recommended alternatives that were similar which just so happened to be on a BOGO promotion which was nice of them to do. Mary came over to our house and immediately got to work. She told me that working with dogs in their personal environment can really speed up the learning process since they are already comfortable. I don't really have much comparison but I have to say I was surprised how quickly he started responding! In a matter of weeks he was like a changed dog (for the better!)
