No appointment needed. A nice deep tissue massage at a reasonable cost. I've been going each week and it has helped me with back pain.

The atmosphere was also a big plus: calming music paired with a gentle water fountain effect made it incredibly relaxing and easy to unwind. Maria was my massage therapist, and she was fantastic. She intuitively found areas that needed extra TLC and suggested cupping, which I decided to try--and I'm so glad I did. The massage is definitely a different, more invigorating approach, focusing on fascia release, muscle manipulation, and lymphatic movement. If that's your style, it's 100% - book the massage. Parking abundant - huge plus and the front office representative was very kind and informative .  I highly recommend Maria--she truly has a healer's touch. I'll definitely be back!

When I arrived I showed the email with the payment of $85 and let the young lady know that I wanted a soft massage as I have bone issues. She led me to a room and let me know to undress and lay face down under the cover. About 10 minutes later, a man entered the room and asked me about the certificate and asked how I received it. I sat up, covering myself and had an awkward conversation about this and explained this should have been discussed with him before I was led to a room. I attempted to call my friend who answered but she explained she could not talk as she was at work. I showed him the form of payment and her full name on the email as this was a Birthday Gift. About 15 minutes later, after he called someone, they looked up the transaction and knew it was legitimate. It was not a comfortable experience at all. I do not recommend this place.

I don't usually leave reviews or feedback for this location, as I've been coming here for many years and have generally been very satisfied with my experiences. Unfortunately, tonight's massage did not meet my expectations. My masseuse was William, and while I don't like leaving negative reviews, I did not enjoy the service. To begin with, the massage started with the blanket left over me longer than usual. The work on my back was okay at first, but as the session continued, it felt like there was little to no technique involved. Overall, it seemed more like rubbing than an actual massage. I've had many massages throughout my life, and I can tell the difference between a therapist who is experienced and one who is not. My back and shoulders were not massaged with proper technique, and there was very little attention given to my feet, arms, forearms, and hands. I was really looking forward to a full-body massage, and unfortunately, that's not what I received. After the appointment, I spoke with the front desk associate, Kennedy, who advised me to leave feedback. There was no offer to reschedule or provide any form of resolution at the time. I would like to know if there is any possibility of a refund or a complimentary massage. Thank you for your time.

I had airón my right heel about 7 mos ago and I told her about it before we began the massage. A few minutes into the massage, she applied waaaaaay too much pressure to my foot. So much so that I had to pull away from her. She said she forgot about my wound and apologized. I wasn't hurting too bad, so I let it slide. 2. Also prior to beginning the massage I specifically asked her to stretch my hip flexor on my left leg (over compensation from surgery on other foot). Ask me how much time she put toward what I specifically went in for...0 minutes! She was a very nice lady and I felt bad so I didn't complain, but I will never go here again and I'll tell everyone I know not to either. Honestly, the language barrier was the biggest issue. I speak 3 languages, just not hers. The least this place can do is invest in a translation app for all of their non-English speaking techs. If any one from management cares (doubt it) feel free to call me. I had the 7pm appointment on Sunday 4/19.

So I love massage, and I really love Thai massage. And this place has been my go to since I found…read moreit two years or so ago. It has a website to sign up for your massage. It is always clean and tidy and just decorated nicely. The music is nice, but sometimes a bit loud, but I'm usually asleep. The owners Ivy and David are amazing and are very lively and energetic. They have found a group of therapist that are totally dedicated to giving you the best therapeutic Thai massage. The regulars are Sandy, Gail, Chloe and Yona. And every once in a while you might get a new therapist, like the one i had today. Her name is Ava. So everyone has a pretty good command of English and they are all super polite and knowledgeable about giving a great massage. I would know as I pretty much come in weekly. As an acupuncturist, I do believe in treating your body right and giving something good back to it. This along with a good diet, exercise and perhaps some acupuncture as well, are all things that can promote good health and relaxation. Why would you want to stay stressed out? Especially at the end of the year, when things can get stressful. So if you are looking for a new place to get a massage look no further, as they do specialize in Thai style massage, but they are massage therapist, and can do all the therapeutic styles. If you are looking for more heavy and deep massage: go with Gail and Ava. The rest are less deep and heavy. The only issue i find is that the location is not so great for parking. It is metered parking, unless you are willing to walk a bit and park in the hidden parking structure across the street. But if you are ok with a little 3 minute walk out into the neighborhood, you can find some street parking.

I had just experienced another flareup and was feeling desperate. They were able to get me in to see Dr. Shane quickly, and when I tell you that I felt like I was with a miracle worker. We went through several motions during the intro session, and he was able to diagnosis my issue (piriformis syndrome and tight hips). He performed cupping and massage, and he was able to loosen up my stubborn hips. He then had me perform some PT exercises, and I IMMEDIATELY felt relief. I honestly couldn't believe it. I thought the relief would go away after a few hours, but it stayed for a few days. I've worked him for about 6 sessions now, and I've felt drastic improvements. He tailors the training session to my problem areas, and he doesn't increase my load too quickly, to make sure I don't reinjure myself (which had been happening before). It's a bit pricy, but it's honestly been a lifesaver for me. Would recommend to anyone!

On 9/9/2024 I was injured during a massage at Sports Performance Physical Therapy in Chula Vista…read more The LMT had her elbow in the intercostal space of my left anterior chest when I suddenly felt an incredible amount of sharp, stabbing pain. I cried out and requested that she remove her elbow from my chest. The pain in my left chest was excruciating. I was unable to use my left arm without experiencing an enormous amount of pain. Even breathing was painful. Coughing and sneezing were unbearable. When I woke up the next morning, the pain was severe. Based on my symptoms, I was afraid I had a rib fracture. I contacted Cristianah Comaduran, Operations Manager of Sports Performance to notify her of the injury. She spoke with the LMT, who verified what happened. We stayed in contact over the next several weeks. I informed her that I would be filing a claim with their liability insurance and would contact her once I was completely asymptomatic. For the next two weeks, the pain was severe. I was unable to work, do household chores, and help my 4 year son with the things he needed, like getting dressed, bathing, basic ADLs. I filed a short term disability claim through my employer (I'm an ICU nurse). The stipulation for payment is that the first two weeks are unpaid, and then 60% of earnings are paid. This was a great financial burden for my family. The consequences of this injury were costly with low income for the months of October and November. My pain continued to improve until I caught an upper respiratory infection (URI) that caused continuous coughing. The pain was back and it was severe. Each cough and sneeze was excruciating. Once the URI resolved, my pain improved. For two months, the pain and suffering was debilitating, not allowing me to work, exercise, take care of the household, and most importantly, my son. It caused sleepless nights because the pain medication I was prescribed did little to relieve my symptoms, which lead to chronic exhaustion. The findings of my MRI on 11/14/24, which was two months after the injury, showed asymmetric edema at the level of the left third sternocostal joint. Two months after the injury, I still had abnormal results which were consistent with my symptoms. My thoracic spine MRI from 2022 showed none of these injuries. My PCP's impression was that there was a sprain of costal cartilage subsequent encounter. He determined it was costal-sternal joint strain vs developing costochrondritis. Along with pain and suffering, I experienced anxiety and distress due to financial strain. The injury resulted in thousands of dollars of missed wages. In addition, I was unable to accrue paid time off and contribute to my pension and retirement fund. This set me back two months from being vested at work. When I returned to work, I had very little sick or vacation time due to the inability to accrue paid time off (PTO). In January of 2025, I called out sick for 3 shifts (36 hours) when I was sick with the flu. I did not have enough sick time to cover the hours missed. I also received a double occurrence for my absence, which was not cleared from my record until January of 2026. It was worrisome that despite returning to work, the effects of this injury continued to be a financial burden and was affecting my performance review at work. This incident has also resulted in out of pocket costs, such as co-pays and pharmaceuticals, not to mention I was never reimbursed for the massage that started it all!! Perhaps worse than everything, I had to borrow money from my parents, so there's an element of shame in addition to the pain, suffering, and distress. This injury has been costly in terms of lost wages/PTO accrual and out of pocket expenses, not to mention inability to contribute to retirement and inch closer to being vested at my place of employment. I submitted an incredible amount of documents to Sports Performance in attempt to file a claim against their liability insurance. They were extremely difficult to work with and despite my repeated efforts to present all documents they requested, my claim was denied. Total cost for lost wages and out of pocket costs: $20,224.09. Because of this massage, I experienced pain, suffering, chronic exhaustion due to insomnia, anxiety, distress, and shame...and I didn't even get a fucking apology.
