I took a short stroll down the street and found Venice Day spa. I would know that this isn't really a day spa, as they only focus on massages. It's not super fancy but it's clean and quiet. The massage that I got was a deep tissue for 90 minutes at $120. They have options for different kinds of massages for 60, 90, and 120 minutes. I went early in the day right after they opened and got in immediately. My Massage Therapist was great. She listened to my request on the amount of firm pressure that I wanted. The session was a full body, and it had some stretching tied in there as well. It was exactly what I needed. I would note that for those super modest, you may want to make a request to stay covered during the session. I've had some sciatic issues, so she worked the Glute pretty thoroughly and had it uncovered. I didn't mind, but just wanted to make a note for any future guests if that is a concern. I would definitely return if I am in the area. I felt like it was a good value for this region in California and it was a great massage.

In her panic, she put super glue on my cut to stop the bleeding, then put a washcloth back on it to stem the bleeding but ended up supergluing the washcloth to my finger. She then ripped the washcloth off my finger (which HURT) and had to spend 5min tweezing off the bits of washcloth that were not glued to my finger. She also gaslit me and said my skin was so thick, so it was my fault. Not only that- but she often applied too much glue and had to keep redoing her applications. Even after that horrific experience- I was going to let it go. I even tipped her $30 because I'm too nice and hate conflict. But we're barely 3 days in having these nails and already my thumb nail popped off in front of my friggin boss. Beware of this place. There's a reason why some people never return.
