My main issue with quest in the past is them billing me despite being told it would be taken care of, but that was in a different state. They had an easy check in iPad in the waiting room to check in. They did end up having a kids room for me to lay down to have my blood taken. Their parking lot seems to just be covered, so it's pretty easy to get in after you've found it the first time.

The front desk also never gave me any receipt or paperwork when I left. It was so painful that I never thought to ask. They also never answered any of my calls. You have leave a message and wait for a call back. I will have to be hard pressed to return to this lab in the future. But I'm an adult, so I continue to dutifully trudge in for the inevitable biannual stab and bloodletting. My first visit here went smoothly: made an appointment online, checked in at the electronic kiosk inside, was called back quickly. The phlebotomist was friendly, gentle, and efficient, and carefully verified the markers being tested and all of my personal data attached to it. They don't process labs in house or even locally, they send the specimens up to Seattle. But the turnaround was a couple of days, so it works out if you're not needing results STAT. I can't speak to billing because I haven't received one yet, but so far, I have a fairly positive impression of a place that I hate going to, and that counts for something. Adulting isn't always pleasant. Sometimes it just sucks.

It was usually crowded, and was only one person working. So my expectations were low to begin with. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! This place was much larger. There were at least 3 people working there. The woman called my name after I had just sat down, and I was a few minutes early for my appointment. She took good care of me, smiled to whole time, made sure I was doing ok. She was gentle and very pleasant. It is also a lot easier for me to get there, closer to where I live. I received a confirmation email and number. I arrived to find the outdoor cyclone fenced area locked and nobody there. No signs to indicate they were closed but the gates were locked. Other people had driven up to find the same thing I did! I emailed them right away and they said they had experienced a power outage but it would be fixed quickly and they would be open again on Monday. Keep in mind that I'm very ill during this and certainly not in any condition to out-except to get tested. The getting dressed and drive over was difficult to say the least. Once home, I made an appointment for was for 11:00 today (Monday). Still no better in terms of wellness, I again went to the trouble of getting there for the test (we live 30 minutes away) and IT WAS LOCKED UP AGAIN! The only difference that there was an actual person inside the fenced area that came to the gate. She said they had their power cords cut. When I asked her why they were allowing appointments to be booked when they were unable to perform the tests, she said she was unaware that was happening. Others were driving up for their tests (that weren't going to happen) while I was there-AGAIN! Why those of us with appointments scheduled aren't getting a notification NOT to come because of their situation is inexcusable! To register for the test online, you have to provide your email and cell phone number so they have everything they need to make contact with customers. Doing all this while sick with a fever TWICE is a cruelty that is completely preventable. In terms of their respect and regard for the people they supposedly are there to serve-NO WORDS!!! BTW, I did email them again and they sent another "we're sorry but we'll be open tomorrow. I suspect a possible insurance scam here-they require all that information before you can secure an appointment online too! Watch out for this one....and go to Walgreens or ANYWHERE else for your test if you need one!
