I would expect more from riverbend.. maybe not quest, but those that work at riverbend are always so nice.. not her!!! We lost over an hour of our time due to her incompetence, lack of empathy, lack of care!! A customer there offered to give us her appt,,, but we did not take, as not fair to her to wait even longer.. wasted our time.. plus, as we walked out, due to her rudeness, there she was,,, smoking a cigarette out front!!!

I had bloodwork done here recently. The scheduling and check-in process were very easy. When I…read morearrive there was nobody out front so I used the check-in kiosk and took a seat. I waited a bit and heard some talking in the back so I knew there were people there. Two people left while I was waiting and then a person showed up and took my paper order and checked me in on her side. She told me she is the only person who works this building and seemed frazzled. A couple of other employees were in and out, I assume they were taking samples to and from other locations to run labs. The person I worked with did check in, tech support, and blood draws, probably among other things. She was incredibly chatty and told me some stuff that definitely isn't normal patient chatter but I guess when you're alone all day you will talk to whoever you can. The blood draw itself was fine. The first vein she used wasn't giving blood so she had to switch arms and then got a pull. A bit of blood dropped onto the chair and my arm after the first attempt and she cleaned the chair but not my arm. Good thing it was my blood and not someone else's! She also didn't wash her hands before or after drawing my blood. She wore gloves and used a prep wipe but both were definitely contaminated by dirty hands. I ended up with a pretty bad bruise on the arm that didn't get blood drawn from it too. The waiting room is very sterile and feels very much like a popup. There's basically no decor or life in the building and it feels like they just set up yesterday.The parking lot is pretty small and tight but it's easy to get in and out of. The building has a bunch of different medical offices in it so it can be tricky to find the right place. There's a small sign on the door for Labcorp and that's about it. Overall going to this lab was a very weird and uncomfortable experience and I wouldn't go again.

As a self diagnosed Quest hater I was actually really surprised at the competence and care here. I…read morewill say it's a bummer they're not able to provide juice / snacks to clients before/after blood draws, since those kind of nurse me back to health, but I actually didn't need it this time around anyway! My main issue with quest in the past is them billing me despite being told it would be taken care of, but that was in a different state. They had an easy check in iPad in the waiting room to check in. They did end up having a kids room for me to lay down to have my blood taken. Their parking lot seems to just be covered, so it's pretty easy to get in after you've found it the first time.

This was my 1st going to Quest Diagnostics on Marcola Rd. I always went to the one on Coburg Rd…read more because it had better reviews. It was ok, but nothing great. It was usually crowded, and was only one person working. So my expectations were low to begin with. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! This place was much larger. There were at least 3 people working there. The woman called my name after I had just sat down, and I was a few minutes early for my appointment. She took good care of me, smiled to whole time, made sure I was doing ok. She was gentle and very pleasant. It is also a lot easier for me to get there, closer to where I live. So next time I'm going here. Win, win in my book.

STAY AWAY!!!
