I visited PDQ Chicken in Westchase (near Costco) and ordered the 5-piece crispy tenders combo with creamy garlic and ranch sauces, a side of Parmesan broccoli, and a large Coke Zero. The drive-thru experience was smooth--ordering at window #1 was quick and the staff member was friendly. After paying $17.18 at the second window, I was asked to park in the mobile pick-up space while they finished preparing the Parmesan broccoli. It was brought out to my car in under five minutes, which I appreciated. Once home, I dug in--the food was fresh and flavorful, especially the tenders and sauces. The Parmesan broccoli and bread were a nice touch too. While I enjoyed the meal overall, the price felt a bit steep for fast casual, so I'm not sure if I'd return regularly. read more

PDQ Chicken - 5 piece Crispy tender combo - Chicken Shop Near Me - Tampa, Florida

Very disappointing. For the amount of money you spent there was no words that could describe the decline. Tables were filthy and the food was not anywhere near quality. It's definitely we're below the level of expectation of PDQ read more

This is my favorite quick serve restaurant of all! Nothing comes close. And Westchase is my favorite PDQ location. It's a combination of the food, the service team, and of course the facility, which is always spotlessly clean This is a mini review, kind of an update on previous ones. Today was a little stop before supper, could not resist some chicken tenders to get me through the wait. As always, a warm greeting. The food was fresh and hot and delicious. I went light today - only chicken tenders/strips. More to follow. Another major review coming. read more

PDQ or People Dedicated to Quality is probably one of the best chicken fast food joints I have been to here in the US I was introduced to them 4 years ago Went back again today while on my trip to Florida Their chicken sandwich I find is the best bar none The honey butter chicken sandwich is soooooo good Comes with lattice fries which are done to perfection My wife had the tenders meal and she really liked them PDQ sauce they have there is quite yummy The place is kept up nice and clean The staff there is super friendly and dedicated to upholding the name Totally would go back again and would recommend this spot when in Florida read more

Wow, very impressed with my whole experience! Chicken tenders were scrumptious! Hot take - rivals hard with Chic Fil A! Service was fast, accommodating, caring, and friendly! Great people working at this location, very kind. read more

I want to update my review with another 5-Stars because this PDQ always gives a 5-star experience! Wendy is the best manager ever! If you have the opportunity to eat in, you'll see that Wendy knows customers by name! She makes everyone smile and feel welcome. I mean, PDQ food is always fresh and amazing, but add the most enthusiastic team taking and making your order...it can turn a bad day to good. read more

PDQ Chicken - They had to remake a sandwich and immediately offered me this for my wait! THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! - Chicken Shop Near Me - Tampa, Florida

WOW! Talk about amazing friendly service! Wendy is the true definition of what PDQ stands for (People Dedicated to Quality) not a person walked in or out without getting a warm friendly greeting! I even heard her refer to a few people by name and that is what more businesses need is people like her! She took our order and hand delivered our meal to our table and then came to check that everything was good or if we needed anything! This location knocks it out the park on all aspects! Customer service is top notch right along with the food! Food was perfectly cooked and tasted great! I had the Buffy Bleu which is my favorite sandwich there !The bread was super fresh and soft and the lettuce was super crisp for the perfect crunch! Also if you have a sweet tooth like me, definitely do NOT pass up the chocolate cake! It was absolutely amazing & definitely shareable. On a side note PDQ Headquarters please please please bring back the sweet potato waffle fries and the zucchini fries both so yummy and sooo missed off the menu! All the staff at this location is top notch! Love going here for a quick dinner or lunch! Best PDQ in all of Tampa hands down! read more

They never give me napkins in the drive thru! It's so frustrating to be eating in the car with no napkins!

Great service with hot food actually served fast! I must start by saying PDQ is not my usual go-to fast food restaurant and I do not eat much fast food. When it comes to fast food I usually have no expectations but the staff here was Yelp review worthy! I was greeted when I walked in, used a clean restaurant room, and my food was brought to my table rather quickly. Brian noticed my table was a little dirty (it had three crumbs). He stopped and cleaned the table prior to placing my try on it. I was impressed as the fast food industry usually lacks quality of service. Also the tenders were a very good size, fresh and tasty. I may just have a new go-to option or at least on Sundays read more

When at Costco 'my kids normally want to enjoy lunch from PDQ.. mainly because their fries and chicken taste better. I love that their sauces are homemade and their fries are actually crispy. Never dull or limp like other fast food eateries. The service is always prompt, tastes freshly made and I love their tea offerings while the kids love the soda machine with the endless drink options. I appreciate the hand washing station as well. All places should offer this but don't. That's what makes PDQ special. I always enjoy the spicy nuggets with their buffalo blue sauce. It's my absolute favorite combination. This PDQ is always clean, the crew members are always helpful and kind. There are also TV's playing for some entertainment while waiting and plenty of parking. Lastly, don't forget to download the app. You'll get rewarded for your purchases and get free tenders for your birthday as well as a $10 off coupon for downloading. I'm always seeing coupons uploaded for future use as well. read more

If you're looking for a good alternative to Chick-Fil-A, PDQ is a good option. I got the chicken tenders meal and I was pleasantly surprised at how tender the chicken was. Chicken was nice and moist on the inside but maintained a nice crispy exterior without feeling overly greasy. The waffle fries were solid, although pretty similar to the ones offered at Chick-Fil-A. The best part might be the garlic dipping sauce. Just the right amount of garlic flavor mixed with the creamy flavor, this is a great dipping sauce for fries and the chicken tenders. Will definitely be back again next time! :) read more

I have now tried all the vegetable sides and I can say that I am in love with every single one. My son's daycare, JCC North, had a spirit night here, which means 20% of our proceeds would support the Parent Association. I never need an excuse to dine at PDQ, so we were all in. That day, my son had his year and a half doctor's appointment where I was told we should at least attempt to feed him vegetables (apparently the marshmallows from Lucky Charms is not a sustainable diet). I did what any parent would do, order every single vegetable side from PDQ. This meant we tried the parmesan broccoli, zucchini fries, honey mustard cole slaw, and corn. My son only ate fries, but I got to try all the sides and I am in love - there isn't a dud in the bunch. ZUCCHINI FRIES - My favorite and probably the least healthy. It is sooo salty in a good way. The crunch, the breading, what's not to love. I mean, my son was able to distinguish it from actual fries and refused to eat it, but that meant more for me. HONEY MUSTARD COLE SLAW - Where have you been my whole life? This is a great take on cole slaw. I already love honey mustard, so this was a win for me. PARMESAN BROCCOLI - There are huge chunks of actual parmesan. Since the broccoli is hot, it slightly melts for a gooey texture. One of the other moms said her kids love this broccoli. Unfortunately, my son didn't, but I sure did. CORN - The corn has feta cheese and a kick to it. It's not that spicy though, because I can't handle spice, but I really enjoyed this. This is not boring corn and I'd happily order it again. It just happens to be my least favorite because everything else is so incredibly strong. There you have it, my ranking of the vegetable sides at PDQ. I think this place is great and the employees are super friendly. Five stars, as always. read more

It is always nice when there is a healthy option for fast food even if I didn't go that direction. The 1st advertisement on the door that got me was the spicy Turkey filet sandwich but once inside, I couldn't help but to try the spicy chicken breast. It looked like it was going to compete with the other 3 big named chicken places that mostly only serve chicken. Well, my sandwich had a good flavor and the spicy mayo was similar but honestly not as hot as what I expected from the picture on their menu. The sandwich was definitely fresh and absolutely hot when served. All of the ingredients were fresh. The tomato slice and fresh lettuce were good but made the sandwich a little messy. I did not ike the little metal baskets they served the sandwich in because it didn't look really sanitized and it slipped all over the table. Lose the basket please! The service was super quick, the restaurant was clean and I really liked the hand washing station. Great idea! The freestyle soda machine had so many options for sugar free, caffeine free and juices too. They had dispensers with 3 different fresh brewed tea as well. I enjoyed my visit and would definitely return again. read more

I don't know how I didn't write this review earlier. PDQ has taken my top spot for chicken away from Chik-fil-a. The chicken is so fresh and the sauces (especially the honey butter) are perfect. Although I've never actually eaten in the restaurant, I have ordered food to-go multiple times, and it's always been good. Twice my office has ordered catering through this location, and the orders were perfectly put together, which I really appreciate. We had an assortment of fried chicken tenders, grilled chicken tenders, and salad, and I love that they gave us enough sauces and dressings for everybody. The food tasted extremely fresh, the grilled tenders had plenty of seasoning on them, and the fried tenders were crazy good with their very thin coating of breading on them. One of their specialties is the Yia Yia's Greek salad, and this is the only one I have ever ordered because I love the combination of flavors. The salad is made up of chicken, greens, red bell peppers, marinated cucumbers & tomatoes, kalamata olives, pepperocini, feta, hummus, and pickled onion, and it is delicious. Not the fastest fast-food in town, but quick enough, healthy enough, and delicious enough to make it the best option out there for quick food. PS - Make sure you get a cookie! read more

I've eaten at several PDQs around the Tampa Bay area (including the test kitchen) and this is by far the best PDQ restaurant I've found. My wife and I eat here at least once a month and we've rarely had an issue. When we do, the problem is immediately solved for us. We stopped in today for my birthday (I had a coupon for a free meal) and the person at the register kept offering me sweet things on the house "because it's your birthday." My favorite thing at PDQ is the standard crispy chicken sandwich with the Buffy Bleu sauce. I think it's probably the best chicken sandwich in the biz. I like the waffle fries, but I really do miss the tots. PDQ, please bring back the tots. Also, the sweet tea is great because it's sweetened with Stevia so you can drink as much as you want without spiking your blood sugar. Oh and I shouldn't forget to mention the hand washing station in the middle of the store. It's really fun to find a good vantage point and watch people try to figure out how to use the sink. Anyway PDQ, keep it up, y'all rock. read more

Just went to PDQ to get 2 crispy tenders. I went inside as the drive thru had goofed up my order on occasion. I ordered the tenders to go and they came out immediately. However, they were not crispy and only warm, not hot. It was disappointing as I used to get hot crispy tenders until recently. Service was fine. read more

I'm going to start off by saying that I absolutely adore PDQ. If I have a friend visiting & they crave some chicken tenders (or even if they aren't and want to try someplace different), this is one of my go-to stops! The sauces are just all so delicious. I'm partial to the creamy garlic, however I have yet to have one that I actually disliked. I digress.. the real reason for the review on this particular PDQ is because it is 1 of the 3 in the area that offer wings now! I am a wing connoisseur. My go to bar food or comfort food. No idea why. So! I made the trip to Westchase to finally try these wings from one of my favorite chicken spots. While pretty good - good size, unique/different sauces available, cooked pretty crispy - I cannot say this is my favorite wing place... however! I do recommend trying, because I can easily see it being someones favorite (or multiple peoples favorite). They were good - don't get me wrong. Just not a favorite. Have I already gone back to another PDQ just to eat? Absolutely! 4 tenders, Arnold palmer (sweet lemonade and unsweet tea is my preference), & the corn is my go to meal for this winner-winner-chicken-dinner place! read more

This PDQ is probably one of the best in the area. Their food and service is always top notch. I don't visit Pdq as much as I visit Chik Fil A but they're still a good quality chicken restaurant. They are currently doing a fall meal which offers a turkey sandwich, sweet potato fries and also a pumpkin spice milkshake which were all very good. Went to the drive-thru window tonight to order food to take home. No one was at the first window, so I pulled up to the second, where a nice young man was handing food out to a customer. She left, so I pulled up and told him that no one was working the window. He asked if I wanted to order and I responded yes. He said I would have to go around the building again, but a line of cars was behind me, so I asked him why I couldn't just order from him. He didn't say say anything, but instead asked me to come inside to order. It was raining, so I advised him that I wanted to order drive-thru (and he had asked me if I intended to do the same and I advised I wanted to), but he said then I would have to come inside OR go back around the building and re-order with the clerk (who wasn't there the first time I went by). I advised him I had already gone around the building once and now I was the going to have to be the last person in line - when I had gotten there before any of them - thus, I was ahead of them in line. He said, "Sir, we have a policy to not take orders at this window." Wow. Your lack of staffing (at the first window) dictates that customers have to wait and cycle around twice to order? read more

Been stopping at the PDQ location most Fridays on our way to play D&D in Tampa and I have to say it's the one of the friendliest places to eat. Needed to update that I've been getting consistently good fresh food here for quite awhile. Busy area in same plaza as Costco & Aldi.

This is honestly the cleanest pdq I've ever been too. (Not that any of them are super dirty) but this location just seemed extra clean. The staff was super nice and very prompt to get the food out. Very impressed at how efficient everything was. Food of course was great, besides Chick-fil-A, they're tenders are the best in terms of fast food. read more

Exceptional food and service. I have been too other PDQs in the past that were a little subpar compared to this location. I was in the area for an appointment and decided to stop in here for a quick lunch with my daughter. I ordered the honey butter chicken sandwich with honey mustard slaw and my daughter ordered the pimento cheese chicken sandwich with fries. Service was prompt and friendly. The lady who delivered food to our table brought an extra sauce out to my daughter to try with her fries, just because she thought she'd like it. (She did). Everything was fresh and delicious. The restaurant and restrooms are clean. Obviously under good management and the employees seem happy with their jobs. Great experience over all for a fast food restaurant. read more

I went to this PDQ for the first time last week. I'm glad I did! I've been to the PDQ in Wesley Chapel as well as the one on North Dale Mabry in Carrollwood. They're all great; but when the food is standardized (in a good way) the differentiating factors are the employees and the environment. The employees were very nice. They were all late high school / early college aged like most restaurants of this type. The environment, though, is what really makes this PDQ stand out from the others. I loved the ceiling with its open beams and exposed air ducts. In general, I don't really consider PDQ 'fast food'. You order at a counter, wait a minute or so and take your own food to your table. However, I definitely feel the quality of the food is a level above your standard 'fast food chain'. The environment is also cleaner and nicer at a PDQ. When I see them on the other side of an intersection from a 'fast food chain' I will pick them every time. This location is no exception. read more

I came to this place not really knowing what to expect, since it was my first time at a PDQ-- right off the bat it was amazing. When I went up to order I was met by Wendy J, who was incredibly nice and helpful. She was so great and made me and my boyfriend feel so welcome. Our server (whose name I didn't catch) was also incredibly kind and great-- and it wasn't just him! It was just the atmosphere of the employees: helpful and super friendly. The coke freestyle machines are always a favorite, and the little sink for hand washing is also a really good touch!! Other places should take notes. As for food, I've heard this place called a 'better chick fil a'-- that doesn't even kind of describe it. Great waffle fries, well seasoned-- and fabulous chicken. The sauces are also super good-- I tried the PDQ sauce, honey mustard, honey bbq and ranch. All of them exceeded my expectations. Brief overview: PDQ sauce is like bloomin' onion from outback, honey mustard is a nice light yellow and has a good amount of sweet, honey bbq is also a good amount of sweet w the bbq flavor (but not overpowering!) and the ranch is a good texture, not too creamy, with a delicious house recipe. The nuggets are substantial-- each is just a tad bigger than bite size for me and they're seasoned well too. Amazing nuggets. Overall, this is my new favorite chain by a landslide. Wholeheartedly recommend PDQ to anyone even kind of close to one. read more
