Food was good. Good amount of fries were given with our meal. The grilled chicken was a bit dry. We had a completely different feeling regarding the inside of the restaurant. The register associate was not familiar with the deal that they were offering, even though they were advertising it on the tv screen. The other associates were hanging out watching their phone instead of assisting guests. The hand wash sink was missing hand soap. The restroom was out of toilet paper. Both drink machines were dirty, 1 was out of ice, and both were out of a bunch of drinks. read more

I wanted some flavored nuggets so I came to PDQ. I do wish they were more flavored :( the garlic Parmesan was little light. Overall tho the chicken was tasty. If you love super cheesy Mac and cheese then definitely get there's (there's a lot of cheese). Everyone was super nice and the place was very clean. You have the option to sit indoors or outdoors read more

I love this PDQ. The food is always fresh and they are always fast. I got a deluxe chicken sandwich with their fries and even though I got it to go, when I got home, the sandwich was piping hot and so were the fries. The chicken portion too, was way bigger than chick-fil-a. I would never to to CFL if PDQ is a nearby alternative. The service was very good as well. The ambiance, I can't say because I always get it to go, but through the windows, it looks clean and hospitable. read more

I have only ever done 1 other food review, but I today I felt it in my spirit to do this review because the food, the service and the ambiance was alllllll that! Please put some respect on the Lake Nona location. The employees there specifically Michael Prado are so nice, helpful and friendly. Let's talk about the food, hands down better than Raising Cane's in my opinion because at least PDQ seasons the chicken and has different sauce options for dipping. I got the honey butter tenders and my friend got the spicy tender. Both were so good. The best sauces were the ranch and the sweet sriracha. The PDQ sauce and creamy garlic were good too, but the other two were higher up because of the tenders we chose. All in all, this was my first time trying PDQ and I am so sad that they don't have a PDQ in Wisconsin. 10/10 definitely recommend, especially if your a big fan of Raisins Cane. read more

I am pretty disappointed if I am being honest, I used to go to the John young pkwy location but they closed for another store to be made in replace so now I order form here and the first time my sandwich was made completely incorrect and when I order a Large Fry I received 4...4 singular fries. The 2nd time I order both me and my boyfriend sandwiches were so overcooked the chicken was rubber...... and fries were hard... again I'm just extremely disappointed bc I love pdq but I don't think I will be ordering again. Hopefully your experience is better... read more

We last visited a PDQ in North Carolina in 2016. I remembered it being amazing so we decided to give it a shot to for dinner on our vacation. Let me tell you, it LIVED UP TO MY MEMORY. We had a late lunch so we didn't want to get a TON of food so we ordered (2) 5-piece tenders and a family-side of fries. This fed 3 kids and 2 adults and cost us $20.95. Not bad at all! The food came out SUPER FAST! I mean, I was grabbing our waters and ketchup when the food was brought to the table! Wow! The quality of the food is amazing. The handmade tenders are delicious! We loved the spice of the breading! Unfortunately due to supply, they didn't have the waffle fries and subbed regular straight fries. The girl at the counter was super friendly. I inquired why a 10-piece tenders was more expensive than two 5-piece ones. She wasn't sure why but agreed that it was odd. That's why we went with (2) 5-piece instead of a 10-piece. Lastly, the look of the place! Cool stacked white subway tile, wood accents, walls of windows! Super cool. Highly recommend! read more

Great service, the zucchini fries are awesome (greasy but delicious)! The chicken tenders with the garlic Parmesan blend is One of my favorites. As for the management, they are extremely responsive to the feedback and helpful-so kudos to them, thanks Mo! read more

We came here last night around 7:30 for take out. For the 5 pieces chicken tenders, we asked if they could do 3 non spicy and 2 spicy. I was surprised that they even packed the spicy one in a different box. The zucchini fries were good but took some time to get it. For the sauce, we got honey mustard, creamy garlic and PDQ sauce. All of them are good. Recommend to chicken tenders lovers!! read more

Food was fine - what happened to the ketchup dispenser vs the gross packets? Service not so much. I realize business is slow so employees were socializing and on their phones. The exception was One young man with glasses who was working his butt off and was courteous and said hello and good bye to us. I get business is slow but every table needed to be wiped down. I don't mind socializing, but do your job first. read more

I'm glad I found out there was a pdq around this area because when I'm in town visiting family I always end up craving chicken tenders from pdq and I am so glad this is right nearby! The staff at this location is usually very friendly and the chicken meals I order have always been consistent without any problems. I usually get a grilled chicken sandwich but this time I got the 5 piece grilled chicken tender meal. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the seasoning they put on the tenders always is the right amount of flavor. I absolutely love all of their sauces and their hot bleu cheese sauce is the best in my opinion. I usually get the fries as a side but this time they were a little too greasy for me which is unfortunate because I love their fries. It also comes with a drink and I got a coke zero which always is so refreshing ice cold. The prices are a little bit above standard for fast food but I can justify it because the food is always hot and delicious when I am ordering it from here! read more

I was on the go and wanted something somewhat healthy to eat. PDQ was super quick and made to order. Everything ass seemingly fresh and everyone was friendly. Pros: Quick Easy in and out at the light Drinks come with the combo Zucchini fries were amazing! Like fries but better and adds just a tiny bit of nutrients (or takes away some carbs if you look at it that way lol) No limit on sauces so you can try a few Cons: Order wrong- I asked for grilled and got crispy. There's a small chance that's my fault so I won't fault them.. I didn't care for the chicken- the breading has a weird taSte imo but looked similar to the zucchini breading so idk. Really didn't like the honey mustard or the garlic sauce. Overall, I think they have great options- the bowls and salads. The zucchini fries were THAT good that I'd come back for just them. read more

Look out Chick-fil-A because PDQ has arrived. Located on Narcoossee Road in Lake Nona near the flag ship at Walmart... This is where you'll find the finest chicken since Chick-fil-A. The concept is rather unique; you probably wonder what PDQ stands for! It's people to get a gate dedicated to quality. And that's just what it is quality food. Now this is it my first love affair with PDQ! When we lived in Sarasota Florida we were graced with a PDQ less than a year before we moved back to Orlando. It was with great anticipation that I watched the construction of this delectable delight. One of the coolest things about PDQ is that they make their sauces fresh from scratch every single day. I have in fact Picked up a rider when driving for Uber and drop them off at PDQ at 5 o'clock in the morning just so they could start making sauces for the day. The layout of this PDQ restaurant is That it looks like the two or three others I've been in. That's not a bad thing I actually like it because I always know where the circular large tables are! Some notable things are the foot controlled handwashing station. Come people we are eating with our hands here (me anyways) so why not wash up before..:and after you eat! The staff is always very nice. The food is made fresh to order. They are constantly adding new things to try the menu... Fire roasted broccoli is delicious as well as the corn side dish and my favorite dish of all is the peanut chicken rice bowl Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum! I only have a one beef and it's kind of a small one but all these locations I've been to have either corn hole or a bocce you like play area however it's a notoriously located directly next to the area of the drive-through where people come racing around... No friends or barrier that would make any difference so it just seems great idea of a really bad idea at the same time. In all honesty I don't let my kids play with it since it's next to the street so it's not really that big of a deal to me it was just a sidenote. Overall PDQ gets five stars all day long in my opinion the chicken is better the breading is fresher it doesn't have any funky flavor they don't butter their bread and just a better variety of stuff. I may add also that if you go to the drive-through when you order you do not order at a menu lit up in your face but rather you pull up and actually talk to someone making you feel fairly confident that your order will come as you like. It's a nice touch bravo bravo bravo! read more

I went through the drive thru at 9:55 pm and made an order and the drive thru girl who was wearing a red shirt on 4/2/2025 who was taking orders decided to yell at me and then when I asked her to repeat what she had said...she said Hellooo! Then told me to circle around again... mind you I was already in line for 8 minutes, so she wanted me to circle again around for 8 minutes. I was shocked on how rude she was and let alone how everyone around her who was working were laughing as if I wasn't the customer. I will not be going back to this PDQ. Horrible Service! read more

I am not one to give an unfair review, I always like to be fair and put into consideration that these are peoples livelihood. This restaurant was empty when we walked in. I feel like that should've been a red flag. However, it was very clean end to end. I ordered a salad to play it safe and I ended up sick with food poisoning. I don't know if they had a bad streak yesterday, but I feel like they really need to look into that. By the good grace of God my son did not eat the food because it tasted nasty to him. Otherwise, it would've been two of us in the ER. The customer service was good. You could not pay me to eat a free meal there. Thank you read more

YAAAS!! People Dedicated to Quality! That is PDQ's slogan and it has always been a positive experience for me since I first had them in Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale several years back. Their menu has expanded and so has their presence in Orlando! I'm happy this location opened up some time ago, I just never had the time to head out here. The food quality is top notch, as usual. I had the Yia Yia Greek Salad (new to the menu from my last visit) and three tenders -- tenders were perfectly fried. Super delicious. The salad was fresh and delicious. If you haven't been here yet. RUN!. So DELICIOUS!. The Mac and cheese . Very very good food!

PDQ takes fast food chicken to a new level. The menu is expansive with fun and different takes on the classic chicken sandwich. I had to try the Grilled Hawaiian sandwich that came with a slice of grilled pineapple and bacon. That sounds like heaven on a sandwich...and it was pretty good. Sadly the chicken was a bit over cooked, which left it a tad dry. But, the sauce, slaw, pineapple, and bacon really made up for it. I think next time, I'll need to try something different, but this was a solid first choice. The hands-down best item on the menu was the zucchini fries. They were incredible with an amazing batter, perfectly crisp, and utterly delectable. These were the best part of the place and was is ultimately driving my return! read more

When I want zucchini fries, I'll be going to PDQ. The food is cooked to order, so it's hot and fresh. The tenders were decent. They could have used some salt in the batter. The French fries were good, but the zucchini fries were the real star. I'll order those every time. One of PDQ's features is their sauces. Honestly none of them impressed me much. We tried a few but couldn't find any that really satisfied. I'll probably just bring some Polynesian sauce with me next time. read more

PDQ Orlando: Lake Nona - The zucchini fries are seriously good! - Chicken Shop Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders and salads with some interesting sides. I have driven by PDQ restaurants mostly in small towns and wanted to stop. This restaurant is like Chick- Fil-A with a few twists and killer shakes. Similar prices in that full meals are not cheap. We got two sandwiches with sides upgraded fountain drinks to shakes and 2 cookies to go for just under $30. I had the pimento crunch (fried) chicken sandwich that has bacon and potato chips on the sandwich. Really the chips were an unnecessary novelty and if the bacon was crisp it would have had plenty of texture. Good sandwich sans chips. My husband had the Hawaiian (fried) chicken sandwich that also had bacon plus pineapple and a mildly spicy slaw. He got traditional fries and PDQ has their own special seasonings. He enjoyed it. The guy at the counter recommended the zucchini fries and I asked about the grease factor. But he said get them extra crispy and they won't be greasy. Why did I not question why more time in the fryer made them less greasy? So yes they are good but if you don't scarf them down quick they are greasy. My stomach started protesting the fries and fried sandwich before I finished my meal. The restaurant is extra clean and modern. They have tables and booths plus 2 TVs showing general news and kind of loud background music. It is great for families as they have a big hand washing station similar to the one they had in my grade school. This accommodates a bunch of folks at once. Outside they have games and other stuff that is fun. The ice tea looks good and coke fountain machine with hundred choices. The restaurant is quick serve and drive through. The food is served on cake sheet trays like Burgerfi and the shakes take a little longer because they make them by hand. Nice touch is the shakes have a thick sturdy straw. They call your name when your food is ready so you go to the counter and pick it up. There is an employee clearing tables and offering to go containers. Next time I will tell them my name is Napoleanhead just to hear them say it in the PA and I would try the PDQ beans and rice that also has edamame, black-eyed peas and corn with basmati rice. read more

I thought I already did this review. We were up in the area for a doctors appointment and it was my dinner time. We had not been to one of these before and decided to give them a shot. We went through the drive-thru and ordering was easy. My companion got one of the chicken sandwiches with fries and a drink. I ordered the spicy chicken strip dinner (3 piece) with fries and a drink as well. They did not have any of the waffle fries so we were offered straight fries instead. If we knew how big these orders were going to be we would only have gotten one. They tasted great and were cooked perfectly. My companion said the sandwich was excellent. I ordered sauce with my fries but did not receive any. This was disappointing as well as no napkins. The chicken strips was the perfect size order and they had great flavor and some good heat. Sauce would have been nice but they tasted great without it. Next time I will double check the bag before we leave. In the end we did enjoy our food and will definitely try more of their offerings another time. read more

It accomplishes its goal of being a fast casual restaurant with friendly staff, clean environment, and clean healthy food options. I had the Garden Citrus salad and it was quite filling. And so healthy for fast food! Spinach, quinoa, sweet potatoes, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, edamame. I love having all the house made sauces to choose from. Mike really enjoyed his Southern Crunch chicken sandwich, too. Potato chips and pimento cheese make for a tasty combination. They even have a hand washing station so you don't have to clog up the restroom if you just want to rinse your hands. AND Yardley soap, I tell you. Fancy! And much appreciated. Thanks, PDQ. Very good casual restaurant that specializes in chicken. The tenders are real chicken and prepared to order. The sauces are so good as well. Second PDQ location I've been to and second time eating at this restaurant...restaurant was very bright and seemed to have a very upscale vibe even though it's fast food. But lighting and decor attracts customers and that's what they did. It's the usual place with chicken, fries, salads, etc but everything seemed to taste better. I ate the Yummy Thai bowl. The chicken is fried and crispy, the veggies in the bowl are always a plus but if you want to be healthier (not me) feel free to not get it with rice. The sauce is a downside for me, for one they put way too much sauce and two it's a tad sweeter than I expected or wanted, but not close to the point where it's inedible. There is a slight (I mean slight) heat but I guess this is to the tastes of the masses. the dish is good but truthfully I would enjoy it actually hot and with a less sweet sauce, or a dollop of Sriracha to take the sweetness down a few levels. I'd eat here again though, no question about it. read more

So, I just needed to get some gas, and was hungry and lazy, or I would have driven a little further down for Wendy's! I had tried it once before, and it wasn't very memorable to me, but I decided to try it again. I ordered the Hawaiian chicken sandwich, which is a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon, coleslaw and a grilled pineapple. I also ordered the fries and a lemonade. The lemonade was very acidic, it was pretty disappointing. Unfortunately, for $10, I received a piece of chicken that was so hard, my dog probably wouldn't even want it. As I bit down, it was like I was biting through layers of rubber. Making a long story short, I was very confused as To how a new business like this could serve this type of food. The fries were very salty and cold, plus they're pretty flimsy. I definitely will not be returning here. I will say though, the place was very clean inside, and the drive-through girl, Robin, was super duper sweet! They do have good sauces though, which they freshly make. My favorite is the creamy garlic, and the honey mustard. Maybe you will have a better experience, but I did not today. I for sure will not be returning. Very clean though!
